Tiara Girls, MTV 4/19/06
Click to play (Quicktime 7 required)
MTV has done such a good job profiling spoiled girls and gay boys on My Super Sweet Sixteen, it was only a matter of time before they entered the world of beauty pageants. In the series premiere of Tiara Girls, we meet Jamie, a future contestant in the Miss Florida Teen USA contest. As we see over the course of the show, she will do whatever it takes to win that tiara, even if it means co-mingling with a bunch of lesbians...

I'm embarrassed to say I recorded this show to check it out this weekend... I can tell it won't be as awesome as 8th & Ocean. That girl's voice annoyed me. :P "By being a news broadcaster, I could tell the world a secret !" Hummm... no. News is you would report something that has already happened. People KNOW!

Did she say she wants to go to the University of England?? Gosh, that reminds me of a simple young student I had several years ago who wanted to attend "SUNY California and take a Masters' degree in bartending." In encouraging an edit/revision, I suggested perhaps she meant Cal State, but she insisted she preferred the idea of going to a State University of New York school, since, as a resident, she would pay a lower tuition, but she wanted to go to the California campus, because "that's where all the coolest bars are, and [she wanted] to train for her career with the best." Oh, she had it ALL worked out...

I am lying on the couch with Bronchitis watching MTV tonight (My Sweet Sixteen and this stupid pageant show- and no, I didn't really want to watch it- I just can't find the remote and don't have the energy to frickin' move), I can tell you exactly what is wrong with Teen America-
Mom and Dad America. I've never seen such a vulgar display of wealth. These kids are spoiled rotten and their parents are 100% to blame. Seriously, that Sweet Sixteen show was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Unbelievable.

^ok, i totally recant my last statement..i just watched the show--her parents are totally HORRIBLE! here's what's wrong with kids today: their parents spoil them so much that they start feeling they're entitled to everything
^derder- i totally agree..that sweet 16 show is ridiculous

Wow... glad I don't have cable. If I watched shows like that I'd probably have a remote sticking out of my tv.
I can't stand watching spoiled little sh1#bags get everything they want and mommy and daddy give in to everything.
UGH makes me so angry.
Glad that lil skank on the video didn't make it to top ten.. cry ya spoiled brat.. cry cry cry so I can laugh at your idiot ass some more.

I didn't watch the show, but I watched this clip. I couldn't stand her voice either. It was like nails scratching on a chalkboard. You would think her parents would have sent her to a voice coach.

Bobbie- that is a fantastic story about SUNY california....I mean i guess you could confuse SUNY Plattsburgh with San Diego-- 9 months of sun, 9 months of snow....

I love this show. Amazing. My favorite part was when the one girl lost and goes, "I'm done with pageants. I'm going to try another sport."
I don't even have the energy to go off on that idiotic statement.

I'm not saying I never curse, but ...I'm not a pageant contestant either. Clean up your mouth, girl! Or were you trying to be "cool" for the MTV cameras? I guess she wasn't "the best bull sh*tter" there. Awww.

I thought she had a wonderful dress, the USA system is glitzy, she made a mistake changing her dress last minute and it seemed to me that the judges just preferred blondes. Her coach was a hoot! I hate that her little outbust afterward was aired on national tv - we all do it, just usually in the privacy of our hotel room or car. Her into was, well, different. I would've expected something a little more polished for her age. I do think that Jamie is making a mistake by quitting pageants. She has a lot of potenital to win something big.
I am so loving this show!!
