Passions, 7/4/06, NBC
For whatever reason, there hasn't been much Clipgasm-worthy television in the past 48 hours or so, probably thanks to most of the networks preempting their normal programming because of July 4th. Well, I just spent the past few hours combing through the Tivo to find something halfway decent when suddenly it hit me. Why not check out Passions? Sure enough, seemingly two seconds into the episode, and there already was an outrageous scene involving lightning bolts, talk bubbles, awful dialogue, and, of course, the mermaid. Oh, Passions. Why did I ever doubt you?

I thought Passions could never get past the craziness when Jesse Metcalfe as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald journeyed into a portal of hell with the blind priest to save Charity. And the little dwarf man/doll Timmy was there too. Glad to see they are going above and beyond the call of ridiculousness.

simply stunning.
on a semi related note: i'm 96% sure i saw pumkin (of flava of love fame, no less) on next last night at 2 am. the only reason i'm not 100% sure is because i was a little drunk at the time. it was amazing.

I hate to admit I actually watched this crap. It's nap crap, you don't have to watch it but the heathens leave you alone at 2;00 to 3;00 to watch your story. What peace we get we take. I can't watch it everyday or week or it will ROT YOUR BRAIN...

Since I work a day job I am not a soap watcher, but this was really funny. If this show is a tongue-in-cheek parody of soaps then it is brilliant. If they are actually serious about all this then that is kind of sad.

@ Hannah,
Yes, that was Pumpkin on NEXT. Me and my friend caught it during the first run of Flava of Love, and we laughed our asses off because it was after we saw the episode when she said she was on a couple dating shows.
