Nice Paula montage. I use to suspect prescription drug abuse. But now, I fear, she has flipped her lid. Like she is really and truly losing her mind.

She reminds me of girls I knew in college who would get drunk and then cry as they were making what they assumed were incredibly profound statements on the nature of life. "But, serious, here's the--no, wait, you guys, stop laughing, this is really serious, no, wait, hold on, this is serious, ok..."

Paula says that she watches the tapes, right? What does she think of her behavior? You'd think she would at least go to the live shows sober. Nice of Simon to address the whole "Ryan and Paula: Awkward Issue".

It's too bad that this was edited with the clips out of order. It was quite touching how honest Paula was about how moved she was by Elliott's singing. (I alternately really enjoy him and am not impressed by him - this week he was extraordinary.) Unfortunately as the show went on she was unpredictable and started in with the histrionics and it may have detracted from her earlier apparent sincerity.
