Clipgasm: You Can't Have Your Cake And Eat It Too Edition - TVgasm

by B-Side

My Super Sweet 16, 4/26/06, MTV
Click to play (Quicktime 7 required)

I really wanted to post something from last night's Apprentice, but thanks to the awful, awful DirecTV DVR (a.k.a. Satan's DVR. Save your DirecTivos if you have them), I wasn't able to record the episode here at work. However, I should have something up for tomorrow. In the meantime, we can all take solace in knowing that no matter how hard life may seem, at least we'll never have to endure the pain of Chelsi on this week's My Super Sweet 16.

That's cold. Kids like that should be shot (the dude).

Gosh, and I always thought an $800 cake would be such a solid long-term investment...

I agree that the kid was a total dick for doing that.

But on the other hand, all of these kids on this show make me sick. Spending up to $500,000 on one party makes me sick.

That could cover the entire cost of a college education, plus multiple graduate or professional degrees. But instead they spend it on $800 cakes. BS I say!

I love the pouty look on her face at the end of scene. It's like

"But mommy! I want my cake! Go get me another one.....NOW!!!!!!"

The horror........ the horror.

EdHill's not being sarcastic. Someone knocked an $800 cake over at his Sweet 16 also. I'm not naming names, but I think the culprit's name rhymes with sg-tub.

B-side - did the girl in EdHill's cake get hurt when it was knocked over?

When I saw that cake break on the floor, I could tell it was NOT a yummy cake! They got ripped off.

Bitch got what she deserved. Hopefully our cake destroying hero keyed her car(s) as he left. Stupid bourgeoisie bitches.

I agree dredge, whoever paid $800 for that cake made a serious mistake, it was U-G-L-Y!
Did anyone watch this whole episode? They are seriously sickening, yet so hard to turn off!

No cake! Not yours.

Haha, that actually does suck, but it's still not as bad the girl from Made whose pet llama was spray painted.

Just thought I'd put things into perspective.

I would've been PO'd too if some asshat did that crap to my cake and completely ruined it.
But seriously.. I hate spoiled little idiots. So glad I don't have cable to watch these shows b/c they would just piss me off.
The world doesn't need anymore spoiled little rich retards running around.. aka Paris Hilton

I would've been black-eyed-and-veiny furious if some idiot messed up my $5 cake, but that's what you get for inviting people you don't really know just to give yourself the illusion that people like you. For serious...

I would so love to see those spoiled f'idiots bankrupt their f'idiotic parents. Really, I agree the cake did not look like it was worth $800.

I wasn't even allowed to say 'hell' or "damn' under my parent's roof. but it seems these days kids can say anything.

sigh.

I admit, I watched the whole episode. They manage to cast the most spoiled rotten Jackie Burkhardts for the show.

I just don't get how the parents are always annoyed at how bratty their kids are and then cave in whenever they ask for something.

I have already given all of my friends permission to slap me if I ever do something like this with my kids (when I have them), and I now give the internet permission as well.

well said, raggedy..

and..how pathetic to see this parents so desperate to be loved by their child that they shove more and more shit at them. "someone else discipline them and take responsibility! i don't want Tiffany/Brittney/Ashley..to hate me...weep weep."

I am sick of watching people(young or old)who think they have a sense of entitlement to whatever they want.
"Give it to me just because I breath" is lame.

But I want an Oompa Loompa NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

I like how she goes from rage to full-on emotional meltdown with sobbing in the blink of an eye.

Plus, if you watch the clip again, it was actually the fault of the dude who pushed the guy's face into the cake, not the guy whose face went into the cake. And, yes, cakes cost waaaaay too much. My wife and I priced wedding cakes and nearly had a heart attack. For more than 100 people it is nearly impossible get anything for less than $800.

I just LOVE that extreme pout she gives to her parents right after she says "But I didn't even get to see it yet!"

BTW, why are there shirtless guys milling around the basement area, or whatever?

and we wonder why the terrorists hate us...

Seriously, copygodd. Shows like this make me want to say "Death to America", too.

Doesn't she know that she can't have her cake and see it too? I think we all learned a lesson here today.

sg-dub- it's amazing how kids act these days..this girl sis only a few years younger that I am, and it seems like we were brought up in different decades.

sadly, these bratty, overindulged childern will be tomorrow's leaders. scary, huh?

Chelsi is what you find pushing empty strollers wandering the streets or the halls of Creedmore.

the cake needed to have been pushed all over that horrible dress. what was that?

that gave me a laugh because on this show its often very obvious that the kid is acting overly spoiled just to make better tv. usually i dont mind that but on this show it's often POOR acting. nice to see a party guest one up the attention seeking crappy behavior.

Leah3t- sadly, i DO know kids that act so completely spoiled like this girl and are not acting. and what's even worse is they feel like they have the right to get whatever they want.

If this show prevents even one parent from giving their 16 year old See You Next Tuesday daughter an $800 cake, then it will all have been worth it.

I felt bad for MTV and this episode. The whole town was in farm country, and the overall image was of 'dumb party in the suburbs'.

I bet MTVs' production team almost cried when they saw that the richest girl in THIS town wore plaid and jeans. And had to go to the only dress-maker in town for a toga (wear a white sheet, dope). And didn't get a car. And had no helicopters or P.Diddy associated with her familys' wealth.

Daddy, I want a goose that lays golden eggs!!!

DrewtheLush/#31 - she DID get a car...she got a brand new mercedes that she couldn't even drive because she doesn't have a license.

While I don't condone those boys' bad behavior, I can't help but think the producer goaded or bribed them into ruining that ugly cake that just happened to be where anyone walking by could gain access to it.
