Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, 7/12/06, Food Network
OK, so seeing Gordon Ramsay topless is not really that much of a scandal, but it's not something we get to see on Hell's Kitchen very often, much to Virginia's lament. This clip comes from Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, which airs on BBC America. While there is plenty of yelling and swearing, Gordon's goal on the show is to turn around restaurants that are failing for some reason or another, and in doing so, you see a lot more of the nurturing Ramsay. If you love Hell's Kitchen, you'll enjoy Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

I think he changes into his chef whites in front of the camera on nearly every episode of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
I like Nightmares as a complement to HK. While the yelling, screaming and backstabbing on HK are fun, it's nice to see another side of Gordon, as he sincerely wants these owners and chefs to succeed.

Yeah, Ramsay does the "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood"-esque clothes-changing literally every time he wants to explain some deep thought to the camera about restaurant-running.
He always seems oblivious to the fact that he's half-nude, but you know he saves all his good points for when his shirt's off.
I can just imagine him at a board meeting -- "Folks, our profits this quarter..." (Strips) "...are way up!" (Board members cheer, also strip)

I love Ramsay's Kitchen Disasters! It's such a great show and a great learning experience. I really like it when the restaurant embrasses his suggestions. They seem to survive after the changes, but not always so. It's fascinating to see if these restaurants can be saved.
I wish they would do an American version with Ramsay. That would be nice!

Thanks J-unit! Whoot! But seriously, I think G-Ram's brother was very into drugs, so this is quite personal for him. I heard he hired a chaperone for his brother to keep him away from drugs.

Thanks J-Unit! I love this show. It made me love Gordon so much more besides HK. He's so genuine in his advices and attitude with the people he's trying to help. And then he's so crazy and passionate on HK. Sexy! Hehe.

HK and Kitchen Nightmares are both very entertaining and fascinating...though really different in their content and process. KN is on BBC and seeing earlier episodes before the first HK was aired I first became familiar with G-Ram's 'other side': tremendously perceptive, smart and talented, good heart, high standards and a strict task master. When I saw the first season of HK, the show revealed his Type A manner...demanding professionalism, attention to detail and hard work... and actually completed the portrait of a complex, driven, food genius. Accomplished & successful people are often either repulsive or completely fascinating to watch. G-Ram is one of the latter. I am hopelessly addicted now and look forward to each show like my next "fix". Now that I have found this lively, witty group...I look forward to laughing and crying at the hilarious reviews and posts!

OOOH could we get recaps of this show? It's my new favorite (Thanks to EdHill) and I almost enjoy it more than HK.
