Next up, our little chatterbox Jeremy. Jeremy said it was lame. He says he left there feeling bewildered. They said I was too much and that I was ADD. Two seconds before I went in they were telling everybody else you can do anything now, music, movies, acting.

Dr. Cooper says that sometimes when you receive feedback, you only hear the negative stuff. Let's see if that is an accurate observation. So Jeremy starts quizzing the other Idols. Jeremy asks Adrian "was it positive or negative?". Adrian says "I think there was some positive in there that you're not seeing. These people can give us jobs, whatever they say it's wise to listen." Don't waste your breath Adrian, Jeremy is not going to listen to anyone besides "the Big Pooh" or the little voice in his head.

Jeremy asks Jamie "positive or negative?" Jaime says "I agree with Adrian". At this point, neither Jamie or Adrian are working to try and bring Jeremy back to reality. Jeremy is gone the way of a lot of folks that were on the Gong Show in the 70's . He's just gone.
Then Chris says to Jeremy "You're missing the point. If you really listen to them all they were trying to say is this is what we're thinking and this is where you can go." Jeremy replies "They didn't say that". Chris interrupts and says to Jeremy "You just don't listen." Then David says to Jeremy "You might have been trying to please too much by trying to cover all this ground". Jeremy says " I think I'm bigger than live a personality. And I'm sorry if that group of people couldn't see how dope I am."
The camera moves over to Chris as Jeremy is talking. Chris lowers his head and puts his face in his hands and rubs his head. I'm with you Chris, this is painful to listen to again. He's bound to take a break to go work on his hair or something.

Dope yes, but not the way you think.

Next Dr. Cooper asks Chris what they thought of him. Chris says he was disappointed. He says he was trying to be himself and they took it as cold and no confidence. Jamie pipes in and says they also said "aloof".
Chris says he has never heard that about himself. "It's made me question that little thing in the back of my head. Do you still have it?" Chris says to Dr. Cooper "I don't know if I've got it." Dr. Cooper says, "that's a big change for you. You've got to believe in yourself and know that you should be here doing this". Chris says "I don't know if I can do it". This is kind of shocking to hear because Chris has received a lot of good feedback, but not this time in front of the big time movers and shakers.
Billy comes to the rescue and says "Please Chris, never be discouraged. I believe Chris has so much talent and I believe in him. I want to share that with you, I believe in you."
Cooper says to Chris "It's definitely in there, you're going to have to find it." She really wants to just run over and jump in Chris' lap and hug him and tell him it will be OK and... sorry, I think that's what I wanted to do.
Dr. Cooper says the point of the exercise was so that you had an opportunity to hear what people who could make decisions about your career had to say about you. It behooves you to figure out which things have value and embrace those things.
I haven't heard "behoove" in a long time. I would guess that behoove isn't a term that Jeremy is familiar with.
Back at home, Chris is sitting on a chair, lounging. David comes up and tells Chris if he ever wants to talk, he's there for him.

Most excellent recap as perusual.=)
Amazing how Jeremy regrets flipping off the business. Than he went and pretty much did it again in this episode.
He also strikes me as actually having A.D.D.
Also, it was odd seeing Eric as the less zany one this time.
Jeremy tends toward extremes. I think this is why he pays more attention to Eric than the other men.

Darling Annie:
"Unfortunately Jeremy hasn't listened to constructive criticism since he was 3 years old." LOL!!!
Thanks for the laughs!!
Hugs,
Yenta

Nice job Annie... I am beginning to think Jeremy is on the wrong show...he should be on Tool Academy because he is such a tool. I want to feel sorry for him because he is so messed up in the head, but it is difficult.

Has anyone noticed that Jamie shows a great dry sense of humor?
I didn't notice it until the last couple of episodes.

Nice recap, TVannie! I felt like I was able to follow Jeremy right along through his stupidity and right on down into dumbassery. I'm telling you, Hollywood fucks kids up.
Can't wait to see next week's episode!
love, J-Mo :)
P.S. a teensy bit of constructivity... girl, you can take it further out there with your picture captions, just let yourself go there... love! -J :)

Dear J-Mo,
You are sooooo right. I'm struggling a bit on the captions and the attitude. I must learn to cultivate my inner Diva.
I also should have mentioned the whole Jeremy sex scandal thing.
Thank you for the helpful criticism. I know my inner bitch is there, she's just too quiet!!

I felt that Jeremy connected to closely to the material. This cause him to shut down a bit (emotionally speaking) in order to shield himself from feeling vulnerable in front of people he is not close to(as well as the viewing public)
*tada!*

Dear Shanhox, YentaPatrol, Wintersux and Hoxharding:
I'm so glad you guys read this and comment on it.
Shanhox: Yes Jeremy gave show business the second 1 finger salute in his career. I don't know how he can possibly expect anyone to take him seriously. His behavior is irratic at best.
And Yes!! Jamie is really funny. I wish he would comment more. I think he finds it hard to get a word in when Jeremy is flipping out.
Wintersux: You nailed it. Jeremy is perfect for the Tool Academy. But who would he take? According to some rumors, there are a lot of women who have gotten to know Jeremy in that naked, skanky kind of way. I bet none of them would want to spend a second night with him.
Yenta, yes Jeremy doesn't listen well to criticism. But how can we blame him. He is acting like he did when he was 10. I don't think he's ever grown up.
Hoxharding: Smarty pants.
A little sneak peak, I saw some of the show yesterday and let's just say next week we get Eric in touch with his feelings. It's surprising, in a weird way.
J-Mo, Thank you for the help and encouragement. I love your recaps and feel very lucky to be able to share in this wild ride we call TVgasm.
DEAR ALL:
You all make recapping fun and you have no idea how great it is to "meet " and "talk"about TV shows with such smart and interesting people. You guys are the smart cool group and I'm glad I'm just along for the ride.
Love and Luck:
TVannie
