It's difficult to say goodbye to friends you make at summer camp, even at band camp. So how will these 7 Idols say goodbye and what have they learned? Did their lives really change and just what is the big surprise for each of our Idols?
Just like "The Wizard of Oz" our Idols will receive something they never really lost.

The show opens with our Idols packing their clothes and other things, to move out and back into their homes. Chris is getting all his shirts together and says he will miss the guys. David also mentions missing the guys and they all seem like they are in a good mood.

First up is a meeting with Dr. Cooper. She tells the Idols that this is their last meeting and she has only one question for each of them. Dr. Cooper says they were all at a point where they were at the peak of their careers and they lost it. Now she wants to know "do they want it back?"

Jamie goes first. He says he is not in this for the fame. But he found out that he still likes playing guitar and singing and if fame is a part of that, then yes, he wants it back. The rest of the guys applaud at Jamie's last comment. This was a big step for Jamie, he was kind of unsure of himself and he ended up realizing that he still wants to perform. Good job Jamie.

Next up is Chris, he admits, yes, he wants his fame back. He uses a good analogy, he says he's like Bret Favre, he has one more touchdown in him and needs the coach to give him the ball. I thought that was a perfect comparison. Chris says he wants to go for the brass ring.

Next up is David, he doesn't beat around the bush. He wants his fame back 1000%. David also loves the other Idols and is glad for this experience. I still can't believe he is 40 years old. He should start a skin care line, it would do well.

Eric goes next and as usual, he changes the question instead of just answering. He says he would like to change the word fame to love. BOOOO, just answer the question. Dr. Cooper is even tired of his wishy washy comments and says "ya,ya,ya, just answer the question." Eric says he is still trying to figure out what his career is , but begrudgingly says yes, he wants the fame back. Finally an answer.

Billy Hufsey is next and he is right to the point, yes he wants it back. Adrian quotes that famous philosopher Chachi "Fame is good". Adrian also wants it back.

And last but not least, Jeremy says yes he wants fame and he wants it now. Jeremy is really grateful for the sessions with Dr. Cooper. She tells the Idols thank you and tells them that they are all amazing. The Idols clap and they all hug Dr. Cooper. It turns out she was a pretty good therapist and she helped uncover some issues for all of the guys.

Next each of the Idols meets with Dr. Cooper individually but they only show snippets of each meeting and they are all mixed together. Jeremy read from a letter his Mom wrote to him. She is worried that if he goes back into show business, he will lose sight of his goals again and get in trouble. She was always there for him and he helped her and helped raise his sister. It sounds like Jeremy and his Mom are very close. But Jeremy says he failed and didn't listen to his Mom and ruined the whole thing.

Thanks for another great recap TVannie.
Overall this show was not that bad, it could have been a lot worse. I thought it was cool that the 'pay' at the end was not something totally over the top. It was more just a foot in the door and the rest would be up to the guys to use it for good or screw it up again.
Eric was HOT HOT HOT in his suit, damn.

TVannie, I LOVE the Wizard of Oz analogy - spot on! It's so strange watching a VH1 reality show and actually liking the people on it. But it was sort of an uplifting show in the end, wasn't it?
Anyway, thanks for all the great recaps, I've really enjoyed them. Now onto the glitz and glamour of kiddie pagents!! Wow, polar opposite types of show!

Yay! I was just WAITING for you to post this recap because I missed the last episode, and I had become shamefully addicted to this crazy series.
When Dr. Cooper displayed the "old" pic of Jamie, I just about died because I KNOW I had that hanging on my wall back in jr. high. He was such the hottie! (And still is)

Dear Gasmii,
Carol: I agree this show wasn't that bad, it was just hard to find things to say about it. I loved the gifts the guys received at the end, it was perfect to give them something that helps them get back in the industry. I wish all of them the best of luck.
And yes, Eric looked good, damn good.
PottyMouth: Thank you for the Wizard of Oz comment. I thought of that immediately while I saw the show the first time. All of the Idols had all the tools they need to be successful, they just forgot where they left them.
And yes, it was a weird show because I did like everyone. It was a little difficult for me to find things to say about nice guys. Most realty shows have ample jerks but not this one. In a way, I'm going to miss these guys.
After watching the first two episodes of Little Miss Perfect, it isn't hard to find things to say about the subject of childrens pageants. I'm just having difficulty getting screen shots, hopefully I"ll get them out soon.
MandaMo: I love it that you had Jamie's picture. Just remember it's not old, it's vintage. I'm turning 49 soon and I've decided I'm not getting older, I'll be vintage instead.
Thanks for reading these recaps and I hope to watch shows with the Gasmii for a long time to come.
Love and Luck,
TVannie

Kudos for the most excellent recap(and terrific insight!)
I was very happy not to see Howard. Really Howard? Pretend his dog is dead and that will upset him?
Isn't that an oft-used
scenerio that has been used on child actors?
Howard needs practice in the acting skill that is used to make people believe you are humble.
I was very happy for all of them.
Though, I swear Chris has 2 children and not just one.
I hope they do another season of the show.(and that you do the recaps)=)

Dear Hoxharding and Yenta,
Hoxharding, thank you for the kudos. I hope they do another season of Teen Idols too, although I doubt they will ever find another group of 7 that all get along as well as these guys did.
And I think you are right, Chris has two kids. Maybe the other one didn't want to be on the show. Reality shows often bring unwanted attention.
Yenta,
You are so sweet. i still have a lot to learn about recapping, but I am enjoying this and I hope to read many more of your gems as well.
Your last RHOC was hysterical. I can't believe how jealous Tamra is regarding Gretchens motorcycle. What a head case.
Hop on over to Little Miss Perfect if you get a chance. There are some crazies on that show.
Thanks to all who read and followed this show. I hope to continue doing this for a long time.
