We see some diners filling out their comment cards, and it seems that they have only good things to say. Of course, we only hear from a couple of them, so who really knows? Danny thanks his team, telling them they did a great job. He tells us the same. "Ben, Gio and Carol put out big time for me today, and I'm very grateful for that."
The families go up to the pass to tell Paula and Danny what a great job they did, as well as thanking their teams. That was nice. Danny's dad tells him he's very proud of him, and I have another awwwww moment. I'm such a sucker for the proud parent moments. Especially when it obviously means a lot to the kid.

See?
Post Service roundup. Ramsay is happy with their performance. "Wow, wow, wow, wow. What a night. We had two great services." I'll add another wow. I don't know that I've ever heard him this complimentary. See what happens when you pick a good final two Chef? He also thanks the returning chefs. He says it's the best two services they've ever had in any final. Yep. I agree. He asks them, "Why the fuck didn't you cook like that for me?" LA says that Paula doesn't yell, and Carol says Danny smiles. Don't listen to them Chef! Stay true to yourself.

Never Change!
Ramsay asks Danny and Paula if they're ready for his decision. They are. "On the back of scrutinizing these customer comments cards, watching the service in both kitchens, missing nothing, the winner of Hell's Kitchen .........................lives in Florida." Oh hardy har har. Of course he isn't going to say it yet.
He sends Paula and Danny up to the dorms so that he can make his decision. Andrea is sure that Paula won. Ben thinks it will be Danny. And he calls Danny sweetie. Um....oookay. LA thinks it's a toss up. PrettyGirl is concerned because Paula needed help plating up her food. Danny and Paula both talk about how stoked they are. Enough already! Can we just find out who wins?

Hurry Up.
They meet Ramsay in his office. He gives them a little speech about how one of them is going to realize their dream and how proud he is of both of them, and then he sends them over to the two doors. You know the drill. Only the winner's will open. They are so sweet y'all.

We pan through the waiting crowd. We see Danny and Paula's families waiting too see who's won. Their brigades are there of course, along with a shitload of random people. I wish one of them would just open the door already!

Christ! How long does he have them under contract?!?!
On the count of three, turn the handles. One. Two. Three!

Danny wins!!!!
I don't think I've ever seen someone jump that high. I'm surprised he didn't end up over the railing. I think he's a little excited. Paula gets a "Well done" and a hug from Ramsay, and then she gives Danny a hug. Danny tells us that this is incredible and the best he's ever felt. I'll tell you, this ending brought a smile to my face. The funny thing is, I would have been smiling like this if it was Paula too.
Paula tells us coming in second isn't going to stop her. "I am not one least bit upset right now. I'm walking out of here a winner."

Except for the part where you didn't win
Sorry Paula! You know I still love you! Awwww, now Danny's crying. He says it's the most amazing experience. Then he talks a little about his mom, and it's really sweet. It would have been even sweeter if he had named his restaurant after her rather than giving it a porno name, but he's young, hopefully he'll grow out of stupid shit like that.

And that's it for this season of Hell's Kitchen. Thanks so much Gasmi for watching with me, reading my recaps, and sharing your comments. I've had a blast with you. Chef Ramsay and I will be back in July for another season. I hope to see you all there.
SWAK, PottyMouth

Loved your recap!
This was my favorite final two on Hells Kitchen.. Danny crying..d'awww..
I guess I wasn't the only one who thought his dad seemed a bit douchey.
I think Danny and Ramsay bonded on that airplane reward they went on together. I'm sure they had fun. Gordon is a big kid. I wish they would show ALL his BBC shows here.. he's SO much more than the "character" on Hells Kitchen.

I wasn't sure who'd win, but Danny did seem to have more command of his crew.
Yeah, I quite like watching The F Word. He demonstrates some fantastic recipes and cooking techniques.

Thanks, PottyMouth, for a season of fantastic recaps!
I also would have been happy for either of them...they're both great! Why is it we never hear about the past winners and contestants except on the show? I mean, with Top Chef, you have the runners-up opening restaurants, giving interviews...then again, I really hope PrettyGirl doesn't open a restaurant. Imagine the hot mess that would be!
Love ya, Potty!

She could open a McDonald's. Oh wait... she doesn't cook meat. Nevermind.

I'm glad Danny won. I am hoping the best for PrettyGirl... I think she would make a great prison cook. It would be great punishment for all concerned.

Kisses and hugs to you Potty Mouth for a great season of recaps!
This show was a bit of a snoozer... I would have been happy either way, but I was glad Danny won. I also thought he was going to fly right over that railing and go splat. His enthusiasm was awesome.
Pretty Girl and Andrea did not disappoint in their total lack of skill and acting like total bitches. Gio really surprised me, and I was a bit concerned for Danny that he would just eff it all up. Someone needs anger management classes, LOL.
Thanks again Potty! xoxoxo

thanks for the recaps!
i wouldn't ever compare HK to top chef. i've stopped trying! HK clearly goes for drama, while TC goes for excellent talent. i mean, can you see prettygirl on TC??? "i can't cook meat!" lol.
i'm a southerner, and for me, i grew really tired of danny the hick. his red jacket = ugh. backwards hat? velvet hammer? jumping 10 feet in the air and yelling "what?!? what?!?" c'mon man, act like a businessman if that's presumably what you are trying to be. not a hick. and where have we seen his girlfriend before?
anyway, despite that, i'm glad danny won, tho i would have been fine if paula won, too. i think she would have been the more professional of the two, but they are both talented.
see you next season!

I have loved both of these two the entire season and from very early on I predicted (and hoped) that they would be the final two.
I thought I was impartial about who won, but I was actually kind of disappointed that it was Danny at first, because he'd been back to acting too cocky for my liking. But he did do very well in rallying his team and being vocal and then when he started to cry my heart just melted right there and I got all choked up. I really just wanted to hug him.
Thanks for the great season of recaps PottyMouth!
A friend of mine and I have decided to visit Danny's restaurant at some point (if indeed, he gets a restaurant) so we shall have to update all the Gasmi on how the food is!

I liked Danny and was glad he won, but whenever he came into a scene wearing his flannel coat and had his hair down all I could think of was Ted Nugent.

PottyMouth, honey, I'm totally with you, I was happy with either of these two winning JUST AS LONG AS IT WASN'T FUCKING ANDREAAAAAAAAA!
I have to say I was a tad disappointed that Gio apparently couldn't suck it up and keep his bitterness in check... yes, it would be hard to have to cook under somebody else going for the win on this show, but I think they've forgotten that people (who work in and own restaurants and might possibly employ them) DO watch how they act, and I think it reflected poorly on him to be so fuckitall about it. Not to mention looking like a Bitter Betty all over the TV screen.
Awesome job on this season, loved your work!
love, J-Mo :)
