Hey Gasmii, on this week's NEW YORK GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, New York experiences a flavor of the far east in her first commercial shoot. She's shooting a Japanese spec commercial, and in order to gain a better understanding of a foreign culture she indulges in stereotypical research - for example, going to a dry cleaner, eating sushi and viewing chauvenist corporal punishment firsthand.

You think that's bad, in China they would have stuck her in a firing range by now.

Hey Gasmii, Last week on New York Goes to Hollywood, New York had her heart broken once again, but instead of Flavor Flav, it was a crew of managers who crushed her soul. After seeing a performance and hitting up the food station/bar, they didn't have the patience to wait for New York and took off. But, for all five of you out there who consider her an inspiration, fear not! New York actually gets a manager this week! Some douchebag named Chuck Binder who pops his collar!

Just one look at this guy and I can tell he's got a kid named Seth failing his way out of NYU right now.

You know, it's often during these hot months when people decide to drop all logic or sense of humility and move out to LA to start an "acting career". Some get into porn, some end up becoming trophy wives, some grow pot or sell coke, and some, like New York, turn their experiences into reality shows that really show a whole other level of their insanity. If you've heard about the Writers Guild strike, you probably know there's a lot of pros and cons. Maybe you've made yourself a little list to weigh the options of which side to take. I have not, but I know which one should be at the top of your list. If the writers are on strike, that means there will be tons of reality TV, and you know that means there will be a whole lot of I Love New York!

Not that I've ever watched Fear Factor or anything, or that I've kept my eyes open during any of the gross things that happened on Survivor.
