The Oxygen network is facing big cuts-- not with layoffs like over NBC, but with scissors, in its first competition series.
Tease has been described as "
Iron Chef for hairstylists." Each hour features two up-and-coming salon haircutters in an "outrageous, Olympics-style" tournamanent, with the winner facing off one-on-one with a high-profile "master stylist." A contestant who beats the pro will win an honor called "The Silver Scissors."
The show goes into production next week in Los Angeles and is set to premiere in January on the network for women. Lisa Rinna, who was eliminated in Round Seven of the second season of Dancing with The Stars (and whose husband, Harry Hamlin has very nice hair), will host.
