Oh, Jericho. Just when I thought you were totally uncool, you went and killed off a main character. Better yet, one that I totally hated. So, well done! You shall be receiving an invitation to my next clambake!

Out in the middle of the woods, Hawkins is frantically burying the body of Sara, his former lover who was shot and killed by his daughter. I think we're venturing into Jerry Springer territory, Hawkins family. Now all we need is a paternity test for young Samuel and we've got ourselves a brawl! Hawkins returns to his basement, where he scrubs the floor with Easy BloodOut. Suddenly there is a knock at the door. Who could it be??

Good times!

Mama Green and April are running around the hospital, as they are wont to do. Mama insists that April is not getting enough sleep, but they're interrupted by someone referring to April as Dr. Greene. I do a Bwaaa?? because I had no idea April was an actual doctor. I totally thought she was a nurse. Color me surprised. Anyway, the interruption comes from Jessica, a chipper young upstart who informs them that she is a third year medical student and she wants to help. So Dr. Greene (not to be confused with the skinny, balding, dead Dr. Greene from ER) puts her to work.

Back at the Hawkins House of Lies, Hawkins answers the door to find Fat Cop stopping by for a visit. He informs Hawkins that they're trying to keep track of all the refugees, so he just wanted to check in on Sara. How INconvenient of you, Fat Cop.

The generator has been turned back on at the hospital, but there is only enough fuel left for about 10-12 hours of power. And then that's the last of it! Good luck, sick, injured, and dying! There is a great deal of worry about this, then April decides to pass out. It's not yet clear whether this is due to a medical reason or due to a lack of a personality.

Fat Cop has weaseled his way into Hawkins house and is now blabbing on about how it's "colder than a witch's patootie". Really? We're going there, Jericho? He begins to become both suspicious and annoying, and Hawkins sputters that Sara left yesterday. Yes, in this terrible weather. Fat Cop, quickly establishing himself as the Hurley of Jericho, notices a cut on Hawkins' hand, which Hawkins brushes off, saying he was hit by a tree branch. Fat Cop, for reasons no man can explain, accepts this answer and finally leaves.

Now is not the time for your Mr. Roboto impression, Fat Cop.

April is lying in a hospital bed, with Mama fiercely hovering over her. Jess informs them that the baby is having problems. Jake pops up, as he is wont to do in these situations, to suggest that he go retrieve Dr. Kenchy from his drunken stupor at the bar. So Jake wants April dead. Got it. Mama volunteers an ultrasound machine from the basement, and then demands that Jake go find Eric. Jake runs off, desperate to give someone an emergency tracheotomy.

On Main Street, where fun stuff happens every day, Papa greets Russell and the Windmill team, last seen in the Black Jack trading grounds episode. They are introduced to Grey, when they are interrupted by Jake, who is looking for Eric. He informs his father of the dire situation over at the hospital, so now it is More Imperative Than Ever that they get those windmills up and running. You know, for the hospital. And April. And her bland baby.

Mimi drops off Bonnie at the hospital, because volunteers there. Mimi snarks that Bonnie's only doing it to spend more time with that boywhore Sean, so Bonnie snaps back that she's been working there since she was sixteen...which I thought was the age she currently is. So how old IS Bonnie? The plotholes in this episode are threatening to destroy us all!

Dale whines to some guy about reneging on his deal to give a percentage of his crops to the store and blah blah blah Dale is annoying. Nothing new here.

Was April such a major character, though?

Now, if they kill off Jake, call me.

Really, because then I'll enjoy the show more.

I didn't get the boiling the sheets outside thing. Firstly, how were they going to dry them and secondly, wouldn't they pick up trillions of germs OUTDOORS after being pulled form the boiling water? I did like the tense scene when fat cop grabbed Hawkins and said, "We found a body." It was a great "gotcha" moment, that wasn't.

Great Recap Screampillar. I had stopped watching this show - cuz I just couldn't stand another speech from Jake's Dad (or Mom for that matter). But I was curious and had to give your recap a looksee.

"Easy BloodOut"
Is that the "As Seen On TV" formula?

"then April decides to pass out. It's not yet clear whether this is due to a medical reason or due to a lack of a personality."

LMAO

"Don't worry April, we expect your personality transplant to be a complete success."

Clearly that was a surgery that was doomed to fail.

I'm a little backwards-I missed this ep but watched tonight's, then came here & read the recap. I'm glad I did, great recap! Now I know why Stanley & Eric weren't around. Do we think something bad happened to what's her face, the one who went with Team Windmill?
