...although I must admit Jeff is DEFINATELY a hottie. Anyway, I think that Alex M should shut her big ass mouth and stop yelling at people. On top of that, I think she should get treated for a possible yeast infection? All i know is that I can't wait to see those gorilla costumes in the next episode...i am not sure where that is going to go...:)

I think this season has been 10 times better than the last, I use to hate it but now I'm addicted to it (and you're awesome recaps).

First off, I loved how Jessica got that quote wrong. hehe. I actually am liking her a lot more now, she wasn't so whiny and crazy in this episode. She's a pretty girl, but like everyone has said, needs some self-esteem.

I love how apparent it was that everyone was drunk at the Fiesta, especially Kristin with her shirt falling off her shoulders.

These girls are phony, but unfortunetly that's how a lot of high school girls are...hopefully they'll rid themselves of it, but for now I doubt it.

oh and ...L.C. and Stephan may be cute, but they are BORING!!

Oh B-Side you've done it again!! You never cease to amaze me with your wit and candor. I just loved your recap...it's as if you read my mind! Maybe it was just me, but after the episode ended abruptly and awkwardly with Jessica walking on the beach with Jeff I was slightly confused. Did that episode really just happen? Did I miss something? Is there a lost episode in between last week and this week that they forgot to air? Perhaps MTV is cutting it's editing budget for this show or perhaps these kids really are that, as you put it, awesomely ridiculous. Hopefully next week's episode will get us back on track or maybe just fill in some gaps. Untill then, I will just have to pass the time by playing that Casey aduio clip over and over and over...so hilarious!! Loved the recap B-Side!!

"his surfboard was whisked away faster than his anal cherry" has to be the funniest thing I've read on here, but that's probably just because the Cedric and Jason gay relationship is so funny to start with.

I agree with people in the last post who suggested that the kids at the fiesta were on x, and not just drunk. I mean Kristin was biting Jeff's elbow and saying, "I love you." She seemed too goofy to be just somewhat-intoxicated Kristin. Plus Roz's dance moves were too hot to be fueled by alcohol alone. Did anyone else notice that Kristin's hair at the fiesta was really blonde and then "the next day" when they're chatting about the fiesta, her hair is mostly dark with blonde streaks? Maybe I'm just dumb and her hair is the same and the only difference is she had the darker layers showing.

B-side, I think you left out to great Kristin quotes while she and Roz were at the nail salon. First, Kristin said something like, "And they just sit around going (random squeaking noises)." The one I really figured you'd like was when Roz asked why they'd want to go to the fake and wave and Kristin said, "Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" for about 10 seconds. That seems like the type of sound byte you would enjoy since you like Kristin's awkward like's and um's.

Don't we already know that Talan is the one who asks Kristin to prom? I guess Kristin will have to add another day to the amount of time she's hooked up with Talan. I can't wait for the gorilla suits, though.

I loved this episode! Alex H. and Kristin were so obviously drunk and it was hilarious. But i think that was kinda a mean move on kristins part to hook up with a boy that jessica so obviously likes, but it is kinda hard not to kiss random boys when your drunk. I think they should just cut steven and lc out of the show completely. They are soooo not interesting and no one really cares about them. I can't wait until next epidode when they go to prom.

Hey BSide. Re your fixation on Kristin. She may be in MDR, and she MAY be in my hurricane-stranded niece's Communications class at temporary refuge, Loyola Marymount University, conveniently located near... MDR. The niece thinks it's Kristin, but the MDR reference on this week's show sealed up the need for me to force the niece to engage in our favorite L.A. activity, camera-phone stalking. We'll see what happens. Gawd, I hope Kristin doesn't read this.

I love the Casey and Terry picture - so mean, yet very, very funny, and quite amazing that they look so similar.....hmmmmm?

I still think that they were having the x party theme....A bit too much laughter, silliness for just drinking. Do any of these kids have parents or are they all orphans???

This episode was great, but i was greatly confused by the kids ever-changing friendships.

So Jason is allowed to a party with his ex-girlfriend but Taylor, Alex M. and Casey are left in the dust? I'm getting pissed at MTV, i would like some details filled in about the catty fights this girls have inbetween episodes.

Roz and Kristin were on point this week with their nonsense conversations.

I didn’t know how to interpret LC’s reaction (or lack thereof) to Stephen’s verbal pondering of a future relationship with her. Was she holding back on the outside but as you mentioned, on the inside, her heart was going “pitter-pat� and Stephen’s words were music to her ears? I just couldn’t gauge that one in terms of her true thoughts and feelings to Stephen’s dinner-table utterances. She’s got to be reaching a limit with this guy. Once you lose those feelings for someone, they are really hard to get back and sometimes it gets to a point-of-no-return mentality and those once-tender thoughts are gone with the wind. Especially after the whole Valentine’s Day catastrophe when he gave her a consolation prize of flowers and candy the day after his bestowal of the grand prize (a romantic dinner out), which went to his real true love, Kristen. LC was flattered when Stephen unexpectedly showed up at her house with the goods. But once Talan let the cat out of the bag regarding Stephen’s Valentine’s date with Kristen, LC (one would think) had to reconsider this whole relationship-thing with Stephen. Like, perhaps, a “thing� just doesn’t exist with this guy. As for Stephen (and for some reason, I do like him), he had a lot of nerve proposing a hypothetical relationship with LC after making her second fiddle to Kristen time and time again. LC, you do not need to be second fiddle to anyone, you should be the entire orchestra (and conductor!) to some great guy that worships the ground on which you walk!

Wow, who are you and how on earth did you read my mind and comment on every exact thing I was thinking of during this episode!!! This was definitely Roz's coming out episode. I almost pee'd in my pants when she busted out the maracas. Brilliant. If Stephen and LC should ever marry, please tell me MTV will air the blissful event as an exclusive special episode a la Zack & Kelly's Wedding special and use Journey's Greatest Hits album as the soundtrack for the show. Can't you just see it now!

B-Side- you are the greatest! Although many posters profess their love to you, I think your heart belongs to Roz. B-side and Roz sittin' in a tree... This show perfectly illustrates how thinking you are the shit really makes people believe you are. After all, I think LC is much prettier than Kristin, but Kristin has everyone chasing after her and LC is kicked to the curb by Stephen repeatedly. I don't know how someone as young as Kristin has the confidence that she does, but it seems to do the trick. She may be the Alpha dog in LB, but college may be a bit different. Nice friend by the way, making out with your best friend's crush. Did anyone else sense sidekick defection from Roz in the next episode?

erica, even though Kristin didn't say anything (on camera) when she was at breakfast with Roz and Jessica, you could tell Kristin looked uncomfortable like she was about to drop the bomb. Between Roz and Kistin's conversation at the nail salon and Jessica's calm attitude about the situation when it was brought up at the fake wave thing, I think Kristin and Jessica did have a talk about it, but I could be wrong.

Julie, I can't see Roz defecting because even though she disagrees with some of the things that Kristin does, they are still bff.

I felt like I missed something in this episode, like Jessica knew about Kristin and Jeff hooking up but it never shows when she found out. When they were talking about him at breakfast, Kristin had this guilty look on her face...I dont know, I know it can't be helped because this is supposedly "reality" but I really hate the way they edit the episodes, it really confuses me sometimes.

Oh yea and isnt it..."Dont hate the player, hate the game!"? I guess it could be the other way around but I think I've only heard it that way. A word of advice to Jessica, if you're gonna be on TV dont make yourself look dumb by quoting slang phrases that you dont really know.

Did anyone notice Talan taking style cues from Stephen by wearing those hideous black socks? And he had such a puss on his face at the party. Do you think this was pre or post Kristin's deep suctioning of Jeff's oropharynx? The aftershow gave a tour of Casey's house. I think she said she bought the Mercedes CLK500 for her dad. And she ended the tour by saying she was going to take a bath. I just wish the cameraguy could have drowned her in her bubble bath.

Okay - I've waited all week to read your recap and I must say that I "totally" believe that these little people are "Ridiculously Awesome"! Here's why: Anyone who can be so silly, superficial, and one-step away from total idiocy, but still manage to have a reality show on T.V for 2 seasons, gets nothing but props from me. These kids have us all watching from week to week, waiting to see what silly little drama they're going to toss around next - and I for one absolutely LOVE IT! I like Kristin's so-called confidence (is it really confidence though?), Roz's loyalty, and Jessica's inability to stand up for herself. This makes for a pretty balanced friendship, and non-stop laughter for me and my girlfriends! ...keep the catfights coming...

We definitely need to get Roz's fine ass on the Opening Credits. She and these recaps are the only reasons I keep tuning in every Monday! She's like the Rhoda and Kristin's the Mary...everyone liked Rhoda more...they definitely need to do a spin off and call it ROZ!!!

Did anyone else want to scream at LC through their TV? She finally had her chance to tell Stephen how much she likes him and that she wants to be a couple, and what does she do? Nothing! What I loved was how clearly jealous the "golden girl"/OompaLoompa was of LC. She just stared at her with a bitchy look on her face, she insulted LC's clothing choices then she clearly got aggravated when she called Stephen. Haha I pity LC, cant she find a normal friend?? I sense that a serious rift is about to tear Kristin's Bitch Trio apart... just as well. Jessica's a 3rd wheel anyway... but, I want to know more about Alex's Hygiene issues... have they been fully addressed??

Roz isn't in the opening credits because she doesn't have a storyline like how the "love triangle" is with Jessica, Jason, and Alex. Kristin, Talan, Stephen, LC, and Taylor are in the opening credits because they are all linked to one another. Kristin used to date Stephen, LC was last year's narrator, but is hopelessly inlove with Stephen, Talan and Kristin are hooking up, and Talan and Taylor had some sort of relationship in the beginning of the second season. So if Roz wanted to be in the opening credit she would have to have some sort of boy drama that is linked to one of these boys. I forgot where I read this but it might be from the Rollingstone where Kristin is posing very provactively or in the Seventeen magazine where Kristin is in the front cover. Well yeah, read one of 'em and this is the reason she gives why she is not in the opening credits.

Roz isn't in the opening credits b/c she isn't hot or photogenic enough to appear in all the promotional materials for the show. She's getting more airtime as the season goes along though b/c she's actually nice, likeable and relatable.

I think that Taylor and Alex are gigantic Losers and I would never - ever- ever invite them to my party either. Taylor is kind of hot but is a total lame-o. Alex is scary.

About the interchangable friendships on LB: Don't you guys remember high school-it was totally like that. One minute you and so and so are the best of friends, the next minute so-and-so likes friend B better and "upgrades" her clique and leaves you out. Then you have to find a new clique, then a new girl comes, or someone in the clique has a scandalous rumor started about them, then no one wants to hang with that person, so she has to find a new clique. Or two people like the same boy, the boy chooses one or the other, the one not choosen gets mad, but then she finds another boy to like, so then the two can be friends again because it's all good... That's so how it is in high school. We have to remember they are not mature adults yet, even though they like playing at doing adult things (having multiple sex partners,going on unsupervised trips out of the country, drinking, etc.) It just seems like we are missing something because, well, the show is only a half an hour long and only so many episodes. They don't have the time to spell everything out and for us to watch the evolution of the exact how and why of every situation-we just get the shorthand version and the audience has to fill in the blanks. And would we want everything spelled out-how boring would that be?

I love the decision to change the POV from Lauren to Kristin this year. Because from getting information filtered through Lauren's eyes, Kristin seemed like the most horrible, one-dimesional bitch imaginable. But now seeing things through Kristin's eyes, we see the real deal: Lauren is a pretty, but extremlely boring and unassertive girl, Stephen is an equally dull drone, and yes,Kristin is a bitch. But she can also be funny, confident, and caring as well. Lauren stayed pretty one-dimensional, though. I wonder about all of the Kristin antics we missed out on last season with the storyline so focused on Boring Lauren and just total waste-of-space Morgan and Christina.

Not to ruin the surprise, but the Kristen prom thing can't be too big a secret, you can clearly see Talan's profile in the preview for next week's episode as the garage door opens.

LC and Jason, I'm almost sure that they aren't together anymore or that it was just a misunderstanding...then again this show throws some curveballs sometimes. And seriously, Cammi must really be the almighty one because she always seems to be the one that hears the rumors and sees the acts of adultery. It's quite odd for one little black girl in all of laguna to not only be able to see but hear all that goes on. Jenn is a very beautiful girl but what was with that fake and bake tan thing she had going on...seriously someone as pretty as her does not need to do the fake tanning shit.

and whoever said roz isn't that pretty, she is absolutely gorgeous but has anyone noticed that she stares off into space like she's blind? She never really looks at Kristin or anyone she talks to she always looks off to the side, it's so weird.

I had to watch this episode in a crowded bar so I had to read the caption. I realized how lame these converstations are and actually questioned why I watched this show. Then Krisitn made out with Jessica's crush and I remembered.

I agree with you Mrs. Peterson, we are often left with many unanswered questions and the show frequently ends kind of abruptly.

Each week we'll tune in hoping to pick up where we left off "last week" and it just doesn't work that way. I know we (the viewers) are watching it on a week-to-week basis but it's not aired on TV that way. I think too much "actual" time passes between high-profile events in need of resolution. But for the viewers, only a week has gone by and we’re still hoping to get closure on last week’s “current� events. Even though it was not last week for the players, it was last month or probably even longer since the show is filmed over an eight-month period.

So I guess we can’t blame the players…but we can blame the show’s editors.

I f-ing LOVE the Journey soundtrack that this show has for Stephen and LC. I don't get it?
But I love it.
At first I felt like it was ripped from my own inner soundtrack?
But I don't care.

There is somebody who has borrowed my internal iPod when scoring LC and Stephen scenes and it is now my freaking MISSION to find out who this joker is.

And that, my friends, is how they got the 30 year-old crowd hooked. It's so subtle and so brilliant.

I totally recommend that MTV follow Kristin to college. I mean this girl is a drama magnet. She has friends like Jessica for pete's sake! As for Stephen and LC, just bury the dead horse and quit beating it. They are lame. Unless they're going to f*** anytime soon, leave it alone. If Laguna doesn't come back for a 3rd season, I totally want a Real World-type of reunion special.

Model? WTF?

I think B-Side is right and that this episode took place in May (on Cinco de Mayo). If you recall, when the girls are at breakfast, Jess explained that she wanted to go to the wave not only to hang with Jeff but to patch things up with Alex, indicating that this party is definitely post spring break.

From the pattern, it looks like each episode consists of the highlights from each month. Right now, we must be in early May and prom is most likely at the end of may or early june. I am getting sad cause it looks like we are nearing the end of our season! There's probably like four episodes left.

So I've heard "Don't hate the playa hate the game" a million times but Jessica was so certain that it was the other way around, I questioned what I knew and phoned a friend.

I think its hilarious now how when i'm watching i can actually think of what will be said on the recap about the incident, and i too was dying with Roz the entire episode and the sidekick.

Alex responded to my question!! No, they weren't on X....

well i wasnt at the fiesta, obviously.. but im pretty sure they werent doing X. al and kris dont usually do hard drugs. Kristin didn't want taylor at the fiesta because she didn't really like her at the time because of the whole Talan thing.. long story.

OK, LOVE the recaps, as usual I was laughing out loud. Not sure if anyone commented on this, but did anyone notice that when LC was packing and Golden Girl would touch something of hers, LC would snatch it out of her hands and throw it in her suitcase. It was so weird to me. Touchy touchy LC.
And where's the petition for Roz, LOVE her!!!

Golden Girl was dissing all of LC's clothes, and besides LC was probably scared she would get bronzer on them.

Is it me, or was it wierd that no one cared that the pinata was so close to windows, glass, etc at the "fiesta". One mis swing or a slip of the bat and CRASH! Guess Roz doesn't mind having people break things at her house =)

Thank you B Side and everyone else who posts for making my guilty pleasure even more pleasurable. Like a lot of you I'm too old for this show. Hell, I'm old enough to remember when MTV played music videos and didn't suck. Actually it probably did suck in the early 80's but I was too young to know. Anyway, this week I read the recap before I saw the episode. I actually squealed with delight when I found out the whole Roz/maraca thing was an actually event and not just a colorful B Side metaphor. It had me cracking up all day at work which wouldn't be a problem except that I happen to be an ICU nurse. My sincere apologies to whoever's grandmother's death bed I was giggling over. Curses to you B Side and Please keep these recaps coming !

i think the real trailor person is jason....think about it. you never see his house, that mercedes he supposedly owns was driven by a friend in one of the earlier episodes (don't know bout you but my friends do NOT touch my 100,000 dollar mercedes, especially my underage ones) and the only car we have really seen him drive is that truck.

plus not like he's smart (got failed out of high school which is the easiest thing to pass, its easier to pass than go on monopoly and he has no real job).

but who really cares? trailor parks can be really nice or they can be really trashy depending on the area and people who live in it. i've seen nice ones and ones that look trashy and i wouldnt diss on anyone who lives in one either but out of everyone, it seems like its jason. youve seen most the other people's houses except his.

I don't think that Jessica lives in the trailer park since on the Valentine's Day episode she told Jason that her mom was "upstairs". I think Cedric is the trailer park cast member. All gay jokes aside, he really seems to be in everyone's business and he seems to envy Jason. When he told Jason that he should break up with Jessica and hook up with Alex I thought it was odd. I mean, come on, teenage boys don't think that way. He would have just suggested that Jason cheat on Jessica and mess with them at the same time. however, there was one thing that i thought you would mention- involving roz and her beloved pinata, of course!

not only did jason and his dull, life-less, glazed eyes have to hold the hat on whoever the hell it was whacking away (cedric maybe? i forget.. if it was cedric, its sad that jason had to hold on the hat, and couldn't hold ced's hand), but roz also led the person right to the pinata, holding their hands and touching the stick to the pinata so they knew exactly where it was.

WHAT?!?!?! what good is a good pinata bashing if the person knows where it is! LAME! was roz really that wasted that she forgot the rules? what? were there drugs stashed in the pinata, making her impatient for it to be busted open?

i don't know why, but that scene really annoyed me. f'n sidekicks.. good thing kristin was too busy making out with jeff to notice, or roz may have been replaced!!

Okay I am glad that someone else witnessed the guy on guy action because I thought I was seeing things when Jeff kissed that guy on the cheek. I was a bit clueless during the grab your balls game and couldn't quite decipher what was happening. If I catch a re-run I am going to have to pay closer attention. NO wonder Stephen was so coveted. He is one of the few straight guys in Laguna.

Alex M. should be labeled as Smelly Cat (Phoebe’s song from Friends). I hum that tune when she comes on screen now. She was still kissing Jason with her eyes open which is just weird. I loved how during the girls recap the next day, Morgan told Alex that Cami wasn't too bummed out by her and Jason’s making out because Jason was totally belligerent the entire night and she was pissed that he couldn't even carry on a conversation. Finally these girls admit that when Jason mumbles it makes sense to no one.

Dare I say it- could Cami be Laguna’s TP resident? I started not to go there because she is the one person that offers a little diversity but the girl can’t even afford a decent flat iron. If you know MTV would be filming on Saturday, wouldn’t you do your hair? If not her then it would have to be Cedric because they’ve shown the homes of everyone else. I thought that Emily’s role was to insignificant to count.
