Heather (writer judge) responds with a bitchy, "What part of you thinks that Legally Blonde is about being subtle?"
They tell Autumn that she just gave a bad audition. Period. I was hoping Autumn would counter with, "But remember how the dogs really liked me?!" But instead she just put herself down. And that's what they really wanted to see.
Then it's time for the first cut. And it's Celina. The judges make their announcement and wait for their favorite moment, when they watch the girl's face just prune up in agony over her crushed dreams. But Celina isn't giving them any of that. She holds her head high, and tells us that she has learned a lot from the experience.
TOO GOOD FOR THEM ANYWAY
Meanwhile, Cassie and Autumn are breathing sighs of relief. And here's where things get fantastic and the judges let them know that one more is going home. It is just pure evil that they wait until the girls think they are safe for another week.
OH CRAP ON A STICK
And it's Cassie that's the second one to go. Surprisingly, she is respectful in front of the judges. Outside of the casting office, however, she goes on and on about how she made improvements and did what they said.
But they can't just reward you for trying. No, on this show, they aren't just looking for hard-workers, they are looking for the least awful amateur actor.

Just caught something today...I was watching Hairspray (2007) for the first time and noticed someone famiiar from Legally Blonde...Cassie S. So I checked with IMBD and yep it was her. She has a small part "Brenda" at the beginning of the movie with the dancers on the show. She looked great. It was just strange to recognize her.

I got suckered into this show because of your recaps, HW, so I blame you for the fact that 'Oh my gawd' has been ringing my ears for two weeks now...and I only know the first line and a half, so it's really annoying. So thanks a heap.
I was sympathetic to Cassie for a while, but she really does seem to be thick as a brick.
Autumn is beautiful and probably should be successful elsewhere, but she's not showing much but pure dorkiness here.
The only real standout is Rhiannon (watch her full performances vids).
You have to figure that with all the millions that go into a Broadway show, they're not going to take a risk on a 'reality' show like this unless they stocked the fish tank with at least two highly likely possibilities.
I like Natalie in a weird way--she's had some good performances too, even though they edit her to look boring. She'd be awesome in a soft-core teen slasher/gore movie.

I'd like an encore of Lauren's boobs.

I was actually surprised at how good Rhiannon was this week. I agree that the winner was selected long ago and chances are it will be someone who's has some experience in the theatre (like Emma).
Unlike most people, I don't find Bailey to be all that spectactular. She looks the part, but I don't see anything special about her. I did read an interview she gave to her hometown newspaper. She apparently is moving to NY although I don't think that necessarily means anything.
