So this season of Making the Band is officially over. And like every other season, we end with an unsatisfying reunion episode where very few questions are actually answered, and my iced double mocha runs out far too quickly.
Final Chapter...until next season...
This week on Making the Band, Day26 finds out that performing without Que really isn't all that bad. And whereas, I assumed that Que would be spending his "time out" in rehab, he is actually just bumming around their New York palatial estate. What a crappy punishment!
This week on Making the Band, the same fight that has been taking place all season continues to take place. And Dawn just bugs the hell out of me.
Normally when I write my recaps of Making the Band, I watch it online as I type along. And usually the online running time -- sans commercials -- is somewhere between 43 and 47 minutes. But this week it registered at a mere 38 minutes. Perhaps MTV heard my plea of shortening the show to a half hour. Or they are just REALLY running out of material.
This week on Making the Band, Que obviously has a drug problem, and no one will blatantly say it. But TVgasm will!
Day26 is still not recording because of contract negotiations, so they might as well go bowling. And by "bowling," they really mean getting drunk and humping the ball machine.
This week on Making the Band, Que says that Will is selfish and jealous and cannot see past his selfishness and jealousy because he's much too selfish and jealous to realize how selfish and jealous he is. Got that? Me neither. On with the show!
"Willie's just a big mean meany!"
This week on Making the Band, we learn that no one is safe from the failing economy. And that Diddy's Trickle Down Economics never quite seem to trickle down to those who work for him.
But at least the show is no longer trying to pretend like Shannon is still a member of Danity Kane. So we've come a long way in the Denial Department.
I just moved into a new apartment this weekend, so I recap this week's episode of Making the Band entirely from a small plot of room in front of the front door and leaning up against a full length mirror. This is the only spot where I can clearly steal a WiFi signal from the neighbs. So let's get this thing in the can before my butt starts to hurt, shall we?
The cliffhanger from last week's Making the Band was whether or not Danity Kane would give it another try. I have a feeling that this will be the cliffhanger at the end of every episode for the rest of this season and for many seasons to come.
