Now it's time for a Breaking News segment. Diddy announces that Day 26's new album, titled "Forever and a Day" will be in stores on April 14. I suddenly understand why we are experiencing this pointless third season of MTB4.

Back in the studio, Robert is now singing. Big Butter asks Que if he's cool, and he says he is. BB says that Robert needs to picture having one night with Janet Jackson when he sings. Now he's all ready to go, and the guys laugh and snort and guffaw. Heh heh Janet Jackson naked! Heh heh! Robert tells us that he's looking for a one-night stand, so if anyone wants one, then look him up. I will pass that message along to my fat cousin Albert. He's always looking for a little D.L. Robert says he understands both sides of the Que/Will argument. And they need to meet in a happy medium. Que reiterates that they need to evolve or they will be left behind. Will says that they can't rush that on their next album. They can't just jump from being R&B straight to pop or their will alienate their current fans. Que forces everyone to listen to a beat he found, and they all love it, but say it's not a Day26 record.

Que gets the full-on "fight or flight" buggy eye.

Que says they are a group, and it's not fair that only Brian and Will get to call the shots. Will says he hasn't liked any of the demos they've recorded either, so shut up. Que backs off and apologizes, and then says they just all need to be on the same page mentally. Will agrees and says they need to all be there to support each other. Will says the 3 vs. 2 division only exists in Que's head. Right, because it's actually 4 vs. 1. Will says that he listens to rock and jazz, so he's really open to other things. Que says they keep bringing in Jodeci-sounding songs, and he's tired of the same shit. Just then, Brian says, "but look who our boss is, dude?" Um, exactly. And conveniently, that's when Diddy pulls up outside. Nice job, producers! Give yourselves a pat on the back for staging that one. Will says they're an R&B pop group, and that's all it is. As the argument escalates, Diddy just so HAPPENS to walk in. But no one stops arguing!

Picture 23G.png

Diddy wore his special condom hat in order to keep his scalp from impregnating you.

Everyone, including Diddy, sits back and watches Will and Que rehash all the same arguments. The back and forth continues for quite awhile. Not much new to report. Diddy looks angry and bored. Brian jumps in on Will's side, and I cringe from the sound of his screechy voice. Que wonders why Brian jumps in now that Diddy is there. Now both Que and Brian are on their feet and getting closer. I hope they have another one of those awful, awkward hugs. Will says they were cool until Que said they were scared to evolve. Brian sits down and now it's between Will and Que again. Finally Diddy interrupts and asks to hear the record that Que wanted to use. Okay, now there's more arguing. All the same stuff. Now it's a "you said it first" "no YOU said it first" argument. Now there is a song playing and everyone is bopping along. Diddy asks if Will liked it. He says that he did but didn't think it was a Day26 record. Diddy says that he wanted the guys to experiment with new sounds, and arguing is healthy as long as the respect is not lost.

Picture 24G.png

Que's spooked, buggy look persists.

Everyone is quiet. Diddy asks how everything is despite all the fighting. They say they're are good. Diddy asks if Will is acting like the leader. Will laughs and Que nods his head. Diddy says that Que looks like he's going to cry. And if he cries, then he's getting out the "No Bitchassness" t-shirts. Diddy says that he likes the record that Que picked. And that they sound good, but they need to make sure that drama doesn't get between them. Otherwise, they'll have the "Making the Band" curse up in this bitch.

And on that dramatic note, the show ends. We know they get through it though because the album drops April 14. Duh.

Next week, Que continues to act the fool. And Big Butter actually has an emotional reaction.

Geez! So what did you all think of THAT mess?! And who's going to buy their new album?

Love, MandaMo
xoxo

OMG. I've been waiting for this recap so that I could post a comment. I haven't watched the show from last night yet, but I want to comment on this recap. I've actually watched this episode 4 times trying to be clear on my position. What is up with Que? I don't know if it's his age or what, but he has really been buggin' out. I don't see how a strong woman like Dawn puts up with his childish ways. Has anyone noticed in the past couple of episodes, he's had somewhat femanine tendencies? He wears me out. I adore the rest of the group, but I'm done with Que. He certainly needs the t-shirt. I'm not mad at Will or Brian for their initiative. I can't wait for the album. Okay, I got a little long-winded, but Que has worked my LAST NERVE. What do yall think? Also, great recap.

missfoxyfoxy:

Que is showing signs of a drug user. Sad, happy, angry, down up just crazy. Dawn is also giving him bad advice. He's is such a child and extremly disappointing because I thought he was a good kid. Now he's selfish & spoiled. He'll learn that the world does not revole about him and he should appreicate his blessings.

One Word: Ungrateful.

bigjr6633:

Que seemed really nice before this season but now I don't know WTF is going on with him? All he does is bitch about everything and try and fight ppl at least 10 times bigger than him meaning Will. Que if your going to lash out at someone, don't do it to Will the dude could seriously crush u with his thumb. Look Que your life may suck at home, but you still work at major record label even though its Bad Boy, you still get paid more than most of us and your famous, wtf are u mad about? Serious question - how are their real fans going to feel about Que when their album comes out and how is that going to affect them as a whole?

Another serious question, I'm just getting all deep into this - once this show ends and they don't want to feature Day26 anymore on it how will Day26 even survive - this group isn't even half promoted outside the show? So many questions, so little time and what the hell are Dawn and Aundrea doing, they're just sitting around waiting for some shit to happen regarding their careers, anyway great recap!!!

Miss FoxyFoxy, great observation. Maybe he's bipolar. His highs and lows are consistent with rapid cycling. Hell, I don't know. I DO know he's young and under a lot of pressure, but DAMN!!!! You nailed it, UNGRATEFUL. One other thing: He's always saying Will is jealous. OF WHAT? Will has a better voice and the FINEST one in the group, in my opinion.

dreamkeeper:

I used to think Robert was the one who did not know when to shut up but he has nothing on Que.

Que's problem is more than just the stress of getting money for his Mom and siblings which is part of his stress. I agree with the may or may not be bipolar Dx but for sure he is insecure with his always feeling the older married guys are trying to clown him which has him flipping back and forth between always looking for a fight or else pouting like a 2 year old. I like Dawn when she is with DK but with nothing to do she is turning into Yoko Ono because she is request of Que's problem.

Que is also delusional on 2 points. 1st he thinks Will is jealous of him and 2nd he thinks he could take Will in a fight. I just don't know where that "I feel I'm being tested comes from". I could see guy still stuck in the hood or military stuck feeling like that but he is on MTV, in a rented house, in NY and has a dozen ugly hats to keep his big baby head warm. He should be thankful, grateful and enjoy this ride before it ends. Instead he is trying to self-destruct.

dreamkeeper:

I mean Dawn is the rest of Que's problem.

lala59:

that was what came to my mind, that Que was bipolar or getting to be schizophrenic; he seems extremely paranoid and he's talking in a strange way, very odd and sad b/c he was so great in the beginning i guess something got a hold of him that is probably hard for him to control...

MandaMo:

Wow! You guys are really fired up about about Que being a freakazoid! I love it!

Anyway, the same thing came to my mind: Why would Will be jealous of Que?! Will is hot, has an awesome voice, a great body, a hot wife, an adorable kid...need I say more?

I think that Que is just EXTREMELY immature and lacks perspective. And it was hilarious the way he tried to act like Mike and Robert were on his side!

thatswhatshesaid:

In sum, Que is a loser-child. He needs to grow the heck up and learn to appreciate what he has. I have been asking for WEEKS what Will could POSSIBLY be jealous of? Maybe Que's just mis-speaking. Maybe he means to say, "I'M jealous of WILL!" But he keeps saying it backwards. hahahaa!

mspattie:

I don't usually post to websites, but I just can't help myself. I'm really curious as to the actual timing of the taping of these episodes. I do agree that Dawn is a part of Que's problem. Although she has given him some good advice, she also contributes to his poor decision making. Que is in dance class because of HER! While I'm excited about the new album, I'm so afraid these episodes will turn fans away and stifle record sales.
