We've all seen ads for adult incontinence, and they've always been fairly amusing, but nothing really compares to this commercial I happened to catch during a casual viewing of Lingo:
I don't know what part of this commercial cracks me up most. Maybe it's the old lady dressed in a blazer who proclaims "I'm doing what I want to do" - which apparently means she really wants to throw upside-down frisbees to giant dogs. Or maybe it's the ghetto green screen backdrops it each shot. Or maybe it's the creepy expressions of relief from the old folks at the end. Or maybe it's the old black guy who looks like he's 35 and has baby powder in his eyebrows.
Part of me really thinks the tagline - "High absorbency, leakage control, very comfortable" - is so awkward and poorly phrased that it might take the cake. But no. The very best part of this commercial has to be the slow-mo demonstration of an old lady actually putting on these fluffy diapers. Do we really need to see that? Yes. Yes, we do. Bravo, Home Delivery Incontinence Supplies! You have created a masterpiece!
Addendum: I do have a few questions that have sprung up over the past few hours. Why would a man wearing an adult diaper also ride around in spandex? Isn't he just a little embarrassed? And what's the deal with the third lady's voice? It sounds like it were dubbed over by an aspiring museum docent.
And here's the real question. When they say "I'm doing what I want to do", does that mean they want to play with dogs, ride bikes, and love grandchildren, or does it mean that they just want to pee up a storm? Inquiring minds want to know...

I found the commercial showing someone using the product to be a helpful aid. I for one was not convinced that it was right for me. But now, I am doing what i want to do.

Umm I think this commercial IS a MadTV spoof. In fact, I've seen it on MadTV. Was this whole post tongue-in-cheek? -F

I believe you are thinking of OOPS I CRAPPED MY PANTS, which was a skit on SNL. Sadly, this commercial is true.

Actually, Attends are real protective undergarments, and the toll-free number does ask you for your the name and address where they should send the free Attends sample. If you have questions, order yourself a pair and find out.

I think the woman at the beginning who 'does what she wants to do' is the same person that played one of the two extremely bizarre grinning old people in Mulholland Dr.

That was too funny, made me laugh out loud at work.
I don't know which part I like best. The woman who's putting on the panties(her legs look pretty young). Or the last lady with the crazy smile. Or maybe the woman smiling whose missing a tooth. And yeah, that guy is hardly old.
I can't believe it's not a skit.

THANK YOU!! i'm so stressed out by school that i really needed a good laugh, the kind that comes from deep in your belly, brings tears to your eyes and just won't stop. this commercial and the fabulously hilarious commentary on it was just what i needed!
