My evenings this weekend were on the tamer side. Among the more exciting things I did included getting my car washed, feeding the birds with left over pieces of my english breakfast scone from the Coffee Bean, and shopping for a new comforter at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I know, my life is so hectic, I can barely keep up with it myself. Despite the relatively slow pace of the weekend, sometimes you can't help but bump into the glitterati. Case in point: I am on my way back to my apartment Saturday night and decide to get some frozen yogurt in Studio City. I order up half-vanilla, half-coffee with oreos(that order is so wrought with irony, i don't know where to begin), but have to run to my car because I forgot my wallet. When I return to the counter to pay, I become slightly annoyed because some jerk is now getting served, and I have to wait for him to finish until I can contemplate my lonely existence back in the confines of Hollywood. Then I notice the guy is with his daughter, and I felt guilty about harboring any ill will towards somebody who is topping off their order with m&m's and rainbow sprinkles. Then I notice that the guy is Warren Beatty, and I know I have to take a picture or nobody will believe me. Luckily, he was busy choosing his topping, so I was able to take a picture and manage to be only 75% obvious about it. As I left, I contemplated going up to him and telling him this joke, but considering it included the words "Annette Bening" and "pooper", and he had his daughter with him, I decided my invasion of privacy was enough trauma for the day.
