And the Emmy Goes To... -
by B-Side
Passions, 7/14/06, NBC
We received enough comments (okay, like two) about last week's epic train explosion on Passions that we decided to track down the scene and post it. Not sure if it tops Colin Egglesfield's tour de force performance on All My Children, but Galen Gering's urgent calls of "Marty!" sure come close...

Comments
WOW! I didn't know I had that much power on TVGasm. I actually am one who commented on the MISSILE crashing into this train and Luis yelling for 'MARTY!'. :) So funny. Thank you B-Side!

The original Battlestar Galatica called. They want their stock explosion footage back.

Wow. I didn't know Passions had a multi-million dollar special effects budget. Impressive!
.. and the dude yelling for Marty as if Marty would actually hear him. Hilarious!

Yes!! I also requested this clipgasm and it was just as glorious as I remembered. Next question is why the hell I was watching Passions, (I, unlike B-Side, have absolutely no excuse).

Whenever I see Passions clips, I keep waiting for someone to pop up and say "Gotcha! Nothing this bad would actually get network funding."

Was that one of the planes the BB all stars made?
It reminded me of my old Atari for some reason. I like how Alistair was hugging himself right before he died in that amazingly realistic crash. OR DID HE????? Dunn dunn dun!

I had the last five minutes of PASSIONS on the other day before the Ellen Degeneres show came on, and I saw this clip on the show and knew that TVGasm would bring it back to me. Thank you, everyone.
And just think, Jesse Metcalfe hopped off this gravy train a loooooooooooong time ago...

Did they filch that stock footage of the train from Hogan's Heroes? TOO cheesey!
Gee, I guess Alistar's dead now, right?

I do not watch soap operas and this is why. What a hoot! Like Marty in the train could hear the guy in the helicopter! Plus the cocky old man laughing off the missle attack. Drama overdone = humor.

That "plane" that shot the train was actually a predator drone, was it not?

Nothing better than shouting "MARTY!" sans emotion.

This guy needs to take some lessons from Michael (LOST) on how to scream his sons name.
I bet Walt would have heard his fathers cry to get off the train.
