Sara shows up at the governor's mansion to talk to her dad. And, holy effing shit. She finds him in his study, where he has just hanged himself. She cuts him down, but it's too late. A mysterious key falls out of his pocket. Wow - I did not see that one coming. I have to say that if this is a suicide, it's a pretty lame move by old Governor Tancredi. If he's all freaked out about this massive conspiracy, the least he could do is share his information with his daughter before he checks out, to reduce the amount of danger that she's in. I mean, one vague phone call about Gay Lance not being what he seems is not really enough of a heads-up, in my opinion.

Whoops.
Cop Daughter convinces Sucre to un-gag her, based on the fact that she needs some pills from a drawer in the kitchen to prevent her from miscarrying. He gives her the pills with some water. Um, why would she store her pills in a kitchen drawer at her mother's house? Never mind. Before Sucre re-gags Cop Daughter, she tries playing the "Why are you doing this, you seem like a good guy" card. He says he's not a good guy.
The lady on the news is talking about how T-Bag is a big scary predator. T-Bag is listening and he is insulted by the characterization of himself as a sociopath. C-Note and T-Bag argue some more about how T-Bag isn't digging. Then the news anchor announces that L.J. is scheduled to be released from prison due to lack of evidence against him. This flips Linc out because he knows L.J. will not be safe on the outside. Linc wants to leave immediately and go to Arizona; Michael wants him to wait until they finish digging up the money. They decide to - sob - part ways.
Tweener is wracked with guilt over the pictures of the dead vet. He's thinking. Meanwhile, at the manhunt command center, some agents are talking about Haywire. They point out that when he intruded into the old lady's house last episode, he left all of her cash and jewelry, but stole a ten-dollar oil painting. Cut to Haywire now stealing a bunch of stuff from a camping store. He gets chased out of the store by an adorable border collie. Aww.
Michael and Linc say a touching goodbye. At first I thought it was totally ridiculous for the two of them to decide to split up after all of this, but now I think the scenario presented is as good an explanation for it as we could have hoped for. It's not that Michael actually wants the money - he just thinks that their escape won't work without it. Meanwhile, Linc is totally right in saying that they have no idea exactly how long it will take to finish digging up the money, or whether something else will happen to slow them down before they can get out of there with it, and he's not willing to risk being unable to get on the road and find L.J. It actually makes a decent amount of sense, at least within the parameters of this show. Michael and Linc agree that they will still meet up as planned. They mention something called "Bolshoi Booth." I don't know if this is a place in Mexico (seems unlikely, n'est-ce pas?) or some sort of code word. They also say "Thursday night, six o'clock," which is apparently three days away. Linc steals a car and drives off.
Dr. Sara watches in horror as her father's body is wheeled away. Some guy in a suit tells her that the M.E. thinks it's a suicide, not a murder. The guard at the governor's mansion also says that no one came in during the relevant time. Sara says that her father wasn't suicidal. She also says there's no other family to call. Once Suit Guy leaves, Sara finds the mysterious key that fell out of her father's pocket. It has some kind of a crown emblem on it. By the way, it's just lying on the floor, where the police or paramedics would have to be absolutely blind and drooling not to have seen it.

Hm - this is getting a little too Da Vinci Code for me.

Great re-cap Amanda. The end was crazy, never saw any of it coming. What about Sucre telling all to give him the money? Wow. Great TV. Really. Now I have to wait 3 weeks?? It's just mean!

Maybe there will be a crossover between Prison Break and 24. The hangning senator reminded me of Walt Cummings hanging himself in the hall. Who in the real world would be fooled by such a thing?

Good recap Amanda. I don't think Sucre is turning on his fellow escapees. Something else is up. Wonder what that key is for? Patience, patience.

Look at Big K scoring a product endorsement. Step aside Coke, Kroger brand cola is coming through!
If Michael is so smart, how does he not see that L.J.'s release is a trap?

So how many deaths have there been this season? 5? 6?
If we keep going at this rate the whole cast will be eliminated by mid-December. It's a veritable PrisonBreakicide.

Do they have Kroger out in Utah? It was so weird to see that beverage on TV...this was a good episode. I really want Agent Mahone dead already.

2 points:
1. when Agent Park said "he's as good as dead" the scene cut to LJ to make ppl think he was referring to him. After we found out it wasnt LJ, they went to the Gov tancredi story and showed the outcome there. Park was talking about him. I could be wrong though b/c i forgot how the convesation between kellerman and PArk went, but still it was not a suicide. sara's dad was murdered.
2. sara's apartment is being made to look like she died of an OD (after finding out her father's death). There was a shadow slowly approaching behind her as she knelt by the drugs so that person is going to try to kill her. Wait for Kellerman to come to the rescue.

Only seven comments? Wow, this show MUST be lagging. No longer a viewer, TVGasm is my PB source - great (and funny) recap as always. You don't disappoint.
Whoa, now the FBI guy is a killer? I mean come on, how many times has this show jumped the shark by now? And I forget, sorry for Sara and all that, but do we care today that her dad's been murdered? And puhlease do not make Lance/Killerman go all nice-guy on us. I mean, some suspension of disbelief is ok, but that? Not buying it.

Nah, more like Lost. Who are the Others? Who is behind the Dharma Project? What is the monster and why is it there?
I mean, Who is the Company? Who does Kellerman work for? What is Mahone and why is he there (considering he's FBI but it's the US Marshal's job to catch fugitives, not the FBI's)?

I think only real surprise left in this show each week is "Who is going to be suddenly and brutally killed this week?"
