The penultimate episode of Prison Break Season Two, and hoo doggie! Dead hookers? Check. Kellerman in uniform? Check. Kellerman in a white T-shirt? Check. That right there is enough for a good episode, but we've also got screwdriver stabbings, double-crosses, triple-crosses, existential breakdowns, courtroom drama, Linc beating the hell out of people, and T-Bag saying "Bring it, bitch!" Not to mention the return of Michael's patented Steely-Eyed Resolve, which coordinates nicely with his new blue hoodie. This is a good one, y'all. Bring it, bitches!
2.21 "Fin del Camino." (That's "End of the Road" for you gringos.) We pick up where we left off, with Linc running around the Christina Rose yelling for Michael, who has disappeared to save the world from T-Bag. By which I mean, fall in to the giant trap Mahone has set. The beach is pretty and it makes me want to go to Destin. Linc re-reads the message from Sucre, which of course is totally not from Sucre, and could it be he's suspicious? Linc has to be the rational one now that Michael's woefully chaste relationship with Dr. Sara has turned him all schmoopy. A wise woman once said, "Love makes you do the wacky."
T-Bag's still rockin' it old school with the 1984 Panama Jack outfit. He's in his room at the Fin del Camino Hotel in Panama City, all antsy and fidgety. He picks up a slip of paper on which is scrawled "312 Ave Olivera, Second Floor, Red Door." He steps out on to his balcony, and we see that he's being watched by the New And Improved Blue Hoodie Michael, who's right up there with White T Shirt Michael on the Dreaminess Scale. He's eyeing him with so much steel he's thrown right into a Fox River flashback - a montage we'll call "Things Michael Didn't Stop T-Bag From Doing But Feels Guilty About Even Though Doing So Would Probably Have Been Unwise And Also Possibly Fatal." It serves to remind us all that wow, he's a real son of a bitch, that one. Michael sees him make significant eye contact with someone at a sidewalk café, and follows his gaze to the Suits who were trailing T-Bag at the end of the last episode. Michael stares.
Mahone's in a taxi, speeding down a deserted beach road. He calls Pam, and they talk about Cameron's recovery from his "accident." Mahone's smiling. A lot. "Remember when I said the day would come when I'd be done? Leave the Bureau and never look back? Today's that day." He just has one more thing then everything else will fall into place. Yeah, years and years of viewing experience tells me that's exactly how it'll go down. Pam hopes he means it. He has to know: if he's done with all this, would there be a chance? Pam: "I'm not saying no." Mahone grins like he's just asked her to Prom. He gets serious though, promising to make it right. She tells him just to be safe and hangs up. He immediately calls one of the Suits stationed outside T-Bag's hotel to confirm he's in position. Suit #1, who is cute, but no Kellerman, ducks and reaches for his ankle holster when he hears "Pow!powpowpow!" Turns out it's just firecrackers in a trash can, but we pan up to reveal Hot Hoodie Michael smirking. A kid runs up to him with a handful of firecrackers: "Es bueno?" Michael says yeah, it's totally bueno, and hands him some cash. I guess he wanted to see if the suits were armed?

Am I the only one who thinks that Kellerman is hot?
I can't stand the chick they brought in as his sister. She was on the last season of Six Feet Under and I couldn't stand her.
Oh, and Lincoln's an idiot!

Next Season: Michael gets a sex-change and breaks into the Women's prison to break Sara out. ;)

I live for your recaps, no lie. Because you love the show as much as I do.
I thought it was weird that I wanted to reach into the television and hug Kellerman. Guess I'm not the only one. His scenes just broke my heart.
AMEN to the Emmy for Fichtner - as long as he can tie with Adelstein. They have been amazing all year.
Michael speaking Spanish - hot! Multiple sweaty fights - hot! Rape threat - hot!
This season has been awesome. Imagine what it would have been like without T-Bag running around without a hand. Because that was the only disappointment for me all year.
I'm preparing myself for an emotional rollercoaster next week!

I do love this show! It kind of snuck up on me - all of a sudden this was the show I found myself totally satisfied with every single episode. Go figure!
And punkrox, no worries, I'm pretty sure like 98% of us share your shame. Kellerman is just so many wrong kinds of hot it's not even funny. See: pretty much any of my recaps for evidence. It's okay. You're among friends! Also, when we first met Kristine, I kept thinking "Narm!"
The T-Bag stuff for me is all about watching Robert Knepper chew scenery, because he's incredibly good at it, especially if you've ever seen him in a straight non-psycho role. He's kind of the reminder that a breakout is bound to have some nasty side effects, even though it was done with the best of intentions. And Michael eventually owned up to them even though he could be in the middle of the ocean right now. Of course, that would probably make for a really boring season 3.
Thanks for the kind words! Always much appreciated.

This was another good epsidoe...loved Michael pinning T-Bag to the floor and Kellerman rescuing Sara...Linc's an idiot though for letting Mahone get the gun.

Heh, cuff Linc.
Am I the only one wishing that Sara would get convicted and locked up? I agree with Elimare (#2)... Michael trying to break Sara out of a women's maximum security prison could be such a fun plot for season 3.
Season 2 has been entertaining, but sometimes I do miss season 1's crazy escape plan.

I love this show as much as the next 6 people that read recaps and comment, but I have to admit this last episode was a drag. It mine as well been titles "A Very Special Prison Break" with all the lectures people were handing out. i expected ol'Wentworth to start stamping Giddeon Bibles below deck.
Lic is an idiot always has been and that is ironic considering how big his head is. Great Pumpkin anyone?
I agree with Jchicken, season 1's suspense was twofold. How can they keep this up for a whole season and does Michael have the answers to the MKAT's tatooed on there?

The camera-men have yet to find an angle that looks good on Kristine's face. Maybe they can work on that next season b/c that close-up on her was pretty rough. Makes you almost long to see Veronica's face (Duckface!)...well, almost.

I was mad at them for casting NARM! as Kristine but after that whole scene this week I totally melted and she's no longer NARM! to me. You won me over, lady I hated cause I hated your character!
I bet I'd think she was pretty if she like, worked down the hall from me or something. But you know, there's pretty, and there's TV pretty, and when you're up there with WM and SWC et al, well, let's just say they could spend weeks finding my good angle and I'd still look like a troll next to those people.
Also, Sara literally has absolutely nothing left, so for her it's a no brainer to sail off to Panama with her hot chaste genius boyfriend. But does Mahone really think Pam will just grab Cameron and sail off with him? Oh Alex. I do not see this ending well for you.

So are we going to find out what SONA is? I live near Raleigh, NC and there is a Sona Med Spa here that does laser hair removal and stuff. Every time I hear an ad for it on the radio it makes me think of Prison Break. I love PB and your recaps are great Loula :)!

loveC92, Thanks! I'm glad I get to do it for another season.
And I have become quite the spoiler prude, so I don't know what SONA is, but from what I hear that's one of the spoilers that's floating around. My guess is we'll find out next week, but a quick google search will probably lead you to an answer right now if you want it!

Great recap. I usually record but hit the wrong channel button and missed it.
My only criticism...I thought it was quite a bit too long....a little wordy. Otherwise, it was fantastic.

Thanks for yet another great recap.
All these characters are multi-dimensional (well, except maybe Sucre). And T-Bag is like an Appalachian American version of Hannibal Lecter. He's hot! In a really low, putrified hand-stump kind of way. Loved the back and forth with Michael. And I loved your written version of T-Bag's accent. It really came through.
Also, I choked back tears for Kellerman too, but only because I wasn't alone. Otherwise it would have been Niagara Falls, Frankie!
See you next week...
