I have to admit that I was hoping Ricky's model would walk down the runway in his underwear so we would get to see Ricky cry and scream and pound on the floor, but today's just not my day. Sure, his blazer looks horrid and clunky, but his work at least looks kinda finished, if you call safety pins shining in the lights finished. Damn you for tricking me, editors! I thought his head was gonna explode! Elisa's pants look great, and her pajama top looks comfy, but her vest makes her model look like he visited a child's cowboy themed birthday party before the show and ripped off the guest of honor. Giddyup, cowpoke. It's hard not to be astounded when Elisa sends something down the runway that isn't insane, so every time she does it I will cheer. Go, crazy face!
Jillian, Christian, Rami, Steven, Victorya, Chris and Elisa are called out in the middle, making them safe. Aw. I thought Jillian had a chance to take this one. Tiki likes Kit's shirt (shocker, since you just wore it) and her overall look. Kors thinks her navy fleece jacket is nice, but if it had been made in any other material he would have fallen asleep. You're being waaaay to nice, guys.
Tiki thinks that Sweet P's look is stylish and conservative, but it's a screaming mess. Heidi is mortified that she let her model walk down the runway with that insanely bad shirt, and Kors says that her tie is well sewed and would look great on a seven foot tall guy, but unfortunately Tiki is only 5'9". Huh? He looks like he's four feet tall, but whatevs.
Jack gets props for his work, which confuses me. The judges love the simple classic look, and Tiki likes the texture. I think he has texture and patterns confused, because he keeps saying texture whenever a loud pattern is involved. I guess that's why he has Lucy do his shopping for him. Nina is the only one to scoff at this outfit, because as it may look good, there are only two easy ass pieces to it. Heidi says that it's better to look finished and Tiki agrees, saying he can't go on air looking like an idiot. The Today Show already has one Willard Scott.
Nina, looking at Ricky like he has boogars hanging out of his nose, asks him what's up with safety pins holding everything together. He says that he's never done menswear, or anything that wasn't in a baby doll pattern, and he decided to go "full force". Riiiight. Nina refuses to let him off the hook and asks if he was going full force, why did he bore her with his colors? He looks like he's gonna cry. I'm rooting for it, and when Tiki says he would look like a fool if he walked on set with that heap of caca on, I'm sure I'm gonna get my Christmas wish. No luck.
Straight guy is called out for pinning his vest together, but Tiki likes it. How is this not totally bore snore except for the purple shirt? Heidi says that she would not like her husband walking around like that. Puhleeze. I've seen Seal dressed in skin tight bright white with an eight foot scarf wrapped around his neck. Don't give me that "that's too gay for my man" bs, woman. She suggests it might be for someone like David Bekham. Snap, Heidi! Tiki says that if straight guy got rid of the purple shirt, he'd wear it. UGH. IT'S AN EVERY DAY SLACK/VEST COMBO. And I am getting way too angry over this dumb outfit. BRB.

The judges don't have much to say about Carmen's work. She didn't even start on a shirt, her "crotch is insane!", and Tiki says the jacket will make his butt look big. LOL, Tiki. Sorry, but your butt makes your butt look big. Carmen says for the hundredth time today that this doesn't represent her as a designer, but yeah, hon. Today it does.

I was about to say, where are the hotties? Oh my god, that dark skinned Adonis with his gorgeous features...the one who had to deal with RickyBitch. I would take him home yesterday :).
Carmen deserved the boot she didn't even make a shirt. Making a crappy shirt is better than making no shirt at all.
On a different note, I can't see the nudies of SexyMuscularGay with HIV (poor thing, it broke my heart. First to hear that he was gay and second that he has HIV. At least he's not victimizing himself and appears to be in good health. Besides that whole HIV thing).

I'm so bummed that I can't see these episodes! My only PR fix is through the gasm. They are at least 1 season behind here in the UK and iTunes isn't showing PR this season like they did last season. What gives?

anyway, I was actually glad that they finally had a menswear challenge. Though I think it would have worked better if they didn't have to make so many pieces. Maybe that's the point of menswear though, is the number of pieces? I have no clue.
Glad Carmen's gone, but Ricky needs to be next. I'm worried about Jack -- remember when they were showing snippets of the whole season and Tim came into the room with Jack and said he had an announcement? OH NO!!! Jack don't leave!!!

Flipit I think that you hating Straight Guy's outfit had to do with the gay man vs. straight woman perspective. Me and my favorite gay man watched this ep together and we had the same argument... I loved it and he hated it. Give me a straight guy in a purple tie, with a pocketsquare ANYDAY! And how could you leave out the guy's comment that he finally understood the comment that straight men always made about the "hot models" around them? That cracked me up.
I was a bit puzzled that Jillian didn't get called out too. Her look was the most complete!
This episode made me realize that we need a PR with lots of naked male models. The more the better.

Hey Flip and co . . . hmmm, maybe it's me, but I think the straight guy's protesting way too much, waaaayyyyy toooo muuuuch!!! and call me crazy, that was the gayest outfit evah!!! NO . . . is it me . . . !?
I'm pretty much agreeing on the rest, and Ricky, well, he does seem to have some kind of black energy about him. Stephen was better this time, but gay collar--it was the embodiment of the guy Carly Simon singing about in "You're so Vain" (but not in apricot)--did he win that contest!?
Carmen was out of her league, I liked her personally though. I agree on Jillian--having such a complete look should have put her in the final call, and Jack, hmmm, good gamble on completed pieces, fug result . . . I would have gone with Chris' look--lots of black, but modern and stylish. I also think if they remake "Dark Crystal" Elisa gonna be busy!!!!
And a special thanks to you, Flippy, so rare to have a "male" exploitation reel . . . not that those twinks do anything for me, but still nice to have equal time!!!! ; )

Sweet Pea kinda cracked me up this whole episode, she knew her design was jank, and the self depricating humor was great! I'm glad she didn't get booted, even though her shirt looked like the one Denise made for Theo on The Cosby Show back in the day.

Carmelicious . . . I totally agree, I find sculpted hair like that suspiciously gay---I know I could be sooo wrong, but still, such grooming attention, (and not doing much for him either, IMHO) and even though Joey Fatone was a straight Insync'er, I still can't miss the gay-ness of looking like a boybander--but I'm not hating, gay person that I am . . . .I'm just saying . . .

I agree.... worse PR ever!!! Thanks for the "Hotties" montage at the end. Glad Cameron is gone, I could not stand her hair with thhat big bun on top! ..... I really thought it should have been a double elimination, there were so many bad designs, maybe even a triple....

Not only the worst PR ever, but the worst season so far. With a group challenge, and a men's challenge I feel like we have no grasp on anyone's style yet. Granted I got drunk and watched all 3 episodes for a 3rd time while supposedly cleaning for my holiday cocktail party. I have this pesky feeling nobody's got a real personal vision.
I think its too easy to see who won't be making it:
Sweet Pea (went bankrupt for a reason), Christian (desperately apeing current trends with no clear slant of his own), Jack (Cute stuff with little to no fireworks- that and we know he got booted already from those pesky staph infection rumors), Kit "Shoot me Now, you Commercialized Drone" Pistol, Ricky- nuff said suckah. That sucks. That's a lotta people who are clearly gonnna bite it.
I'll grant Crazyface, Chris, and Steve the mid range of my hope.
And then Rami and Victorya, Straightguy, and Jillian the final four.
There. Who wants to bet?

Hey Jazzhandstheworld, I love a good throw down!!! I think you've done a good job slicing up the competitors, so I'll just stick with the top 5, say. I'll agree on Rami on top, but I think Christian, and oh hell, I'll say Chris, with Crazyface and Fatone. I think Jillian will lack creativity, but I'm anxious to see, Victorya's a one note, with the shapeless babydolls. I think Kit might do okay, Steven too. I agree on Jack, nice guy, wish him well, but underwhelmed myself.
It seems they'd rather have something outrageous than something boring, so see ya Ricky!

I want to comment on Heidi saying that the Straight Guy's outfit was to gay for Seal. I totally agree with you Flipit, I just saw Seal on the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and he was wearing a sequin suit! Hello!
