I didn't think she'd win, but if you look at the close ups on The lifetime page, they are really intricate . . . tho I can't help but think she spent too much time on her rocking pony and getting the belt from Daddy--no wonder he was so against it, and the tears, well, he got to witness what he wraught . . . (is that right?--I hate when I use things I've heard without the slightest idea how to spell them or whether they are correct)

Hate the long sleeves . . . on both collections, hated the fur, road kill capes, or whatever the hell those were supposed to be, where's my red spray paint when I need it!!!

Hated Althea's last look, but at least her model wore a bra . . . the way it bunched under her girls, for such a clingy fabric . . . FAIL!

Were'nt they supposed to use the new models for the 13th look . . .

I read, out there on the blogosphere, that the intro's were done with no audience and then edited in. I also read that there was no applause and the room was completely somber, as they were in the heart of the lawsuit and didn't even know if it would be aired.

I feel dirty and used after hearing that.
Guess that's not too far from the usual . . .

On the one hand, this show never fails to disappoint me. On the other hand, I can COUNT on it disappointing me. So I knew Mean-a Irina was going to win. And I was right. Take that, Project Runway.

And she will fade into nothingness just like pretty much every past winner. After awhile you'd think whoever is ponying up $100 large for these freaks would get wise.

I've never watched this show in the past, and I only watched it this season because Lifetime forced it down my throat while I waited for "Frasier" to air.

From the time I started watching, I picked Irena to win. Her clothes just had the most detail and thought.
In the finale though, I would've given the win to CH.

And, did anyone see the death looks from Irena while waiting for the winning announcement? Golden!
In the end, Althea seemed genuinely happy for Irena.

There's something I don't get though. If I was picked to be on PR, I'd start working on my collection drawings right away - just in case. The point is to make a collection, not several random pieces.
This would take a lot of thought and planning.
It seems to me that every outfit should be able to be taken apart and mixed and matched with other pieces....with the exception of maybe a couple things.

Doesn't matter though, since I've realized I know nothing about fashion.

Oh well. My experiment with watching PR is over.

I felt really bad for the Peppiest Little Chipmunk. I liked the one scene of her applying mascara-- it looked like she actually was inserting the ENTIRE eye.

Don't know if CH should have won, but there was that one black toilet brush look that would have worked for me in the sense that back in the day if a girl had walked into a party wearing that, she'd have been the one I'd have keyed on and eventually taken home to brainwash with sweet talk only ultimately to crush her heart amid the raging machinery of my 20-something misery.

Irina had to win.

I mean, she invented the cardigan AND the smokey eye. Girl is a trailblazer.

Egads!! Heidi looked horrible!! Who the hell dressed her? She couldn't even move in that jacket.
Cool, calm, and collected Tim Gunn had a meltdown? My jaw dropped. I've never seen him so ruffled before. I read an interview with him and he says the girls intro's were not taped with the audience, they were edited in later on (which made me feel a little better about Althea's uggs). Carol Hannah was robbed!! She should have defended her line when they told her it was not cohesive. Irina, ugh... PS. Cattyfan you took the words right out of my mouth about the fourth judge. I couldn't even take her seriously.

I came into the finale totally neutral. Only caught the last half, if that, of the season.

Carol Hannah, IMHO, had the best collection. Personally I think it would have been boring if her evening line was matchy-matchy. I liked it just the way it was. That said, we all knew who was going to win. Althea should have been eliminated first though.

Hated the editing...Carol Hannah got the loser's edit for sure on the runway. Hard to get full body views. Not the same for the other two.

I felt compelled to look up Fred Flintsone's mother-in-law's name.

Pearl Slaghoople. Hmmm. That really kind of fits the fourth judge.

And now I can sleep at night.

So Meana Irina is the winnah! No big surprise. I would have given it to Carol Hannah too, like the other commenters. At least Irina's parents will like her now, so that made me feel a little better about her win. But an all black collection with goofy military hats?? That's fashion for ya I guess. What do we peons know? I did like the t-shirts though. I LOVED the look Meana gave Nina when Nina reminded her that she should have had more color.

I don't get why CH was dismissed first. NO WAY was Althea's collection better. But for a minute, I thought Althea was going to win. The look on Meana's face would have been AWESOME.

I guess that's it until Season 7!

I thought all of Irina's models looked like Pony Girls.

Come to think of it, Irina would look pretty good outfitted like a Pony Girl.

Now I'll go away and imagine that. . .

And you know what else, I just finished watching 2012.

And I gotta say....we'd definitely deserve it.

And Catty, you nearly echoed my own take on the fourth judge. I called her Julia Child starring in Something About Mary.

I think CH should have won as well. While Althea and Irina had a couple of pieces I liked, CH collection was, IMO, something almost anyone could/would wear.

Did anyone else notice that Carrie Underwood wore CH's first look during her AMA performance last night? The difference was that instead of a skirt, it was shorts.

I saw that too, marijal, but it had a weird feeling like a lady bug when the wings are half open. J-lo's second look as well, but hers wasn't open in front. Everytime they design a dress with wide hips, everyone poo-poo's, but lo and behold . . . . the AMA's are just the beginning, soon they'll be no room left to sit on the subway, as all the hips will be enhanced . . .

Itchy, that was a fun digression . . . and yes, we sooooo deserve it!!! Can we not for one second just stop destroying everything like its our divine right!? The world is an ashtray, flick away . . . and if humanity was flushing their toilets in my hood, I'd beach myself too!!! Kah!

Juddfan...yes, I didn't think the outfit was flattering on Carrie...the shorts seemed to draw attention to the wrong area, though she looked beautiful off stage.

I just can't for the life of me figure out how any producer who gives a flip about their career would ever let Ms. Flintstone anywhere near a camera with that friggin hair. Especially on a show about umm, well you know FASHION?!? It was so distracting I could barely pay attention to anything else...ugh!

CH was robbed - no way was her collection third best of three! Her outfits - pardon me, "garments" - were colorful and interesting. Harder to judge Irina's, as all I saw were moony white model faces amid a sea of black fabric. Althea - I'll go with the 'not cohesive' comments for the overall collection but there were some interesting pieces.

Tim Gunn is so great, even when - especially when? - he's having a hissy fit.

Mama Flintstone was a mess.

Hoping Season 7 has more consistent judging and more Nina!
