Dear Gasmi,
I don't know what it is about these women, but they definitely bring out my decadent side. I've got Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream swimming in Bailey's with a mound of whipped cream on top. I'm guessing that none of those ingredients are in Bethenny's Naturally Thin book, and you know what? I don't care. I'm not on Reality TV. I don't have to worry about my diet. I have the best job ever. I get to eat ice cream and laugh.

So grab the most decadent munchies that you can find and take the leap...
This week our NYC hausenfrau are busy doing what middle-aged hausenfrau everywhere do; surfing that is. Cue the beach boys music. Seriously, all you 22 year old, West Coast, surfer dudes better watch out, cuz these New York mamas are right on your tails. Well, two of them at least. Countess Lulu and Bethenny are in the water doing their best to stand up on their surf boards, which is still a hell of a lot better than Simon did when he couldn't even lay down on his board last week. JZ and Ramona are acting as the cheerleading/mother crowd, and my girl Bethenny pretty much nails it when she says that JZ showed up to look like Maude in a muumuu with $30,000 worth of jewelry on.
Okay, forget the Beach Boys music. As soon as I saw Countess Lulu flailing around on her board, the theme song for Sponge Bob Squarepants started playing in my head.

Absorbent and yellow and porous is he.
If nautical nonsense be somethin' ya wish.
Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish.
Sponge Bob Square Pants
For the first time ever, Ramona and Jill are in complete agreement. All it took was the fear of being dumped into ice cold water with a board tied to their respective legs to bring them together. Crazy Eyes might not be into the whole surfing thing, but she's happy to take a moment to strip down to her swimsuit and frolic in the waves. Girlfriend isn't rocking the roid infused body of her Cosmo days, but she's still pretty tight. JZ takes one look at Ramona's body and actually considers doing some squats. Then considers a longer muumuu. I know just how she feels. I always think about the squats but it's just so much easier to buy the muumuu, and then stop off for pie. I love pie.
The best thing about being a countess is that you never ever have to pay for anything. No, really. It's in Lulu's etiquette book under the "crap that bargain basement nobility get away with" section. Lulu says 'luv ya; see ya; hugs and kisses', and hops into her car leaving Bethenny with the check. From Bethenny's pissed off rant, I'm not sure that she's really understanding how honored she was just to have had the pleasure of the Countess' company. Trust me, darling, there are people all over the world that would give up that which is near and dear to them just for the chance to frolic in the waves with the Countess. Anybody buying this? Anybody? Poor Lulu, it must be hard to be an aristocrat in a society that doesn't believe in you. Kind of like poor Tinkerbell.

Enough of Lulu's problems, there's exciting news to share. Rosie's coming home!!! Woohoo!! I love Rosie. Rosie is the housekeeper/nanny/beacon of sanity for the De Lessep household. And it's looking like her return is coming just in time. Countess Lulu seems to be seriously cracking around the edges under the strain of coping with normal housewife responsibilities. I'm feeling for you Lulu. There's no doubt, laundry's a bitch. Count No Neck and the kids are as eager as Lulu to get Rosie back, and I'm guessing that the kids down at the pizza parlor are pretty happy too. No more drunk dials from that lady calling herself the Countess.

Great Recap Yenta Patrol,
You always make me laugh. I am sure the countess has had many problems with the count not showing up to the kids' events.Good for her for letting him know.

I hate to admit this, but I have been two timing you, Yenta, with another recapper. I am sorry I can't get enjoy gossip about crap reality shows. Yes, I am pathetic and need to get a life.
But over at this other sight. They have claimed that Count-ass Lulu came from generic, middle class stock. Which would explain her stint as a nurse and I wish we could get more information about that. Like what did she do? Did she actually go to school or was she just a candy stripper? Is this how she met the Count at his bed side? The site doesn't say from where she come from, but her being a recapper from NJ might not be such a long shot.
In a way I don't want the show to get more exciting because watching the OC show really pulled at my moral compass. I just want to be able to turn my brain off and relax when I watch television. I can't do that if these ladies start acting like their OC or Atlanta counter parts. I guess I need to check my supply of cheesecake, red wine and\or pain killers and an ambien to rest better.

And Yenta. The other site no where near as good as your recaps. Just sayin'.
And I spent my snow days catching up on the book. Great stuff!!!
And you have gotten Romona down to a tee. You can just see the different voices churning around in her head. I had thought of Mario as one of the good guys and now I can't help but see him as a serial killer. He was my only hope for Avery and Romona-- at least her craziness only hurts her and not her daughter.
and anyone else think that romona made up the arthrist bit?

Oh, Yenta, these women are nothing short of amazing. LuLu is becoming the biggest ass of the bunch, and even her own daughter looks at her with disdain. She is the quintessential sanctimoniuos prig. Everybody else is entertaining except for leatherface Kellman. Why is she on this show? She is such a snooze. I automatically tune her out when she pops up on the screen. Maybe they thought that having a cougar on the prowl was a good idea but I'm not seeing it yet. I'm hoping that her fight with Ms. Frankel goes nuclear, otherwise- meh.
Thanks again doll, for making me laugh on a hungover Sunday morning. By the way, I used to swim laps in the summer and reward my self with a sip of the cocktail that was perched on the edge of the pool. Working out is fun!
Big kiss,
Twunty

Bravo is doing a bang up job on the editing for Countess De LeSchmuck. Her behaviour is the exception that proves the rules. I often eat the entire basket of bread out of respect for my host.
Twunty-"leatherface", perfect moniker for Kelly. There has *got* to be a story there somewhere. How priceless was it to see Ramona standing there all Pretty Woman-like?
Random comments/thoughts:
Brad needs his gay card revoked.
Silex has a website, mccordvankempen dot com. It's pretty entertaining and Simon has a blog within the site. He also encourages his fans to visit his face book page...hee hee, you must take a peek.
Your exercise program is not unlike a lot of Americans. We walk to the frozen custard stand with a swing by the candy store on the way back.
Yenta, you are my favorite thing about Sunday mornings. And yes, spring has sprung here in the midwest. 70's today, can I get a woo hoo?!!

No wonder the Countess thinks that she is the star of the show. It seems like she gets by far the most screen time.
Man, is Kelly a horrible rider or what? She doesn't seem to be ablwe to stay on unless she glues herself to the saddle. Maybe that's why she is divorced. Heh.
BTW I used to ride. You really shouldn't be falling off that much, unless you are just starting to jump or your horse is a jerk.

I couldn't enjoy the show as much without your recaps, Yenta! :) I've seen every episode -- I haven't seen all of them fresh, but I've seen them -- and don't kill me, but I like Silex. I don't see anything wrong with best friends marrying and creating a family. And I see pieces of myself in them. (I didn't mean that the way it may sound.)

Thank you, Yenta! Whenever I see that you've posted another recap, I know that I'm in for at least a few minutes of supreme happiness...your recaps are that much fun to read:-)
To areyoucliff:
From what I've read in other forums (and really, who would lie on the interweb?), Countess Lulu is from Berlin, Connecticut. Her parents were apparently Canucks, though, and she's supposedly part Algonquin Indian as well. She was evidently an LPN in her younger days. And I can't recall if I read this somewhere, or heard Lulu say it herself, but she met the Count on some ski slope in Europa (or whatever that place is called), and they were married within three weeks of their first meeting. Ah, sweaty young Euro-American love!
Anyway, she had very humble origins. Someone somewhere (maybe on Gawker?) had a very funny bit about Lulu's early years before she trapped her squat, little Count de Moneybags...way back when she lived in Connecticut and still had to wash out her one sad party dress down in the crick behind her cinderblocked airstream trailer and stuff (totally paraphrasing there).
Oh, but isn't this season just getting better and better with each episode!?! Long live Yenta! And long live the RHONYC! Well, most of them.

Yenta~~~ I have not seen this show yet, but I still read the re-caps. have you seen Toddlers&Tiars and Little Miss Perfect? Those are some screwed up parents.

Kelly's face is ridiculous. How can she possibly think that strong of a tan is a good idea? It looks ridiculous. She looks like she needs to wash her face at all times.
I also think Ramona is lying about her daughter having arthiritis. Rhumatoid (sp) is a big fucking deal. You wouldn't just happen to forget about the SERIOUS ailment your daughter has!
What schmucks.

Yenta,
Your recaps never fail me. I was in such a crap mood today, and you had me giggling in no time.
Lulu is such a self absorbed ass. The whole thing with Rosie really irritated me. From the bitching that she dared to take a vacation to her wondering when Rosie was going to say how good she looked....UGH! What a Twit. What a Twat. FREE ROSIE!!!!
SWAK,
PottyMouth

Oh Yenta - great job, as always!
Count-ass - ok, that one had me spewing drink into my keyboard. She shall forever be so dubbed....
When Rosie (yeah, Rosie!) returned, and was being given the tour of things Count-ass could not accomplish, did you notice the Count-ass ask "are you tired, are you jet-lagged?" and when Rosie said "a little" she replied "ok, let me show the laundry piling up." The hell? Rosie should have come back and stayed in a hotel for a day or two to unwind from the trip.
Crazy eyes being "dissed" by Leatherface was just great. I'm sure Kelly said "I'm riding, stop by and see me" not expecting Ramona to take it as a blood oath.
I can't even comment on Silex, except to say that I'm with you - leave Simon's massage moaning out of any future shows, thankyouverymuch.
Thanks so much Yenta, you are awesome!

Tammy: I think you're right about the Count. What makes it even more annoying is that he apparently spends most of his time in Europe away from his kids. Thank God for Rosie : )
Areyoucliff: OMG two timing!! I bet she's younger and prettier than me too!! Sigh!! But, by all means share the gossip. Heh-heh. Actually, what I remember from last season was that Luanne was working as a "model" in Italy when she met the Count. So the whole nurse thing has kind of thrown me. Darling, I would never think that I alone could meet any one person's total hausenfrau needs, just remember to share any dirt that sounds good : ) And I'm so glad you're enjoying the book. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
Twunty: You are such a riot. I love the picture of you sipping on your cocktail while treading water!! I'm not getting Kelly, either. I wish she'd do something/anything just to make recapping her a little more fun.
Shantigal: 70 degrees!! I am sooooo jealous! But glad for you, and I love frozen custard, so order some for me the next time you walk : ) I have to admit that I looked briefly at Simon's blog, but I couldn't get myself to read it, and I really should. Sigh!!
Pixielated: "She doesn't seem to be ablwe to stay on unless she glues herself to the saddle. Maybe that's why she is divorced. Heh." LMAO!!
Thanks for your input on the riding. I was wondering if falling like that was the norm.
DaffyMaiden: I'm so glad your liking Silex. I always feel so much better when the people I'm not loving are getting some love somewhere else : )
LastCall: Thank you so much for the paraphrased bit from Gawker. You totally gave me a giggle for the day.
Fatgirlsrule: I've just been reading the awesome recaps of the twisted kiddie shows. But if you recommend I take a look, I'll make some time : )
Mrs. Bojangles: I've been wondering about Ramona and Avery's arthritis. I have a really hard time with the idea that she would fib about it, but it's a pretty rare form and it's just too weird that both Avery and Allie would be diagnosed with it. At any rate, I feel better that someone else is thinking the same thing.
Pottymouth: I keep saying that I'm going to get myself a 'Free Rosie' t-shirt. Heh-heh.
Njgasmifan: You're so right about the Count-Ass. I have never seen anybody so eager to put somebody to work before. This is clearly a woman who hates doing laundry. Sheesh!!
Hugs,
Yenta

Oh you're back from vacation take a rest, no I mean come look at the laundry (that does not look 1/2 as disasterous as this single girl's laundry room) and THEN you can take a rest. biach
And Kelly, ughhhhhh she is the snooty, too tan horsey type. I watched reruns this weekend and I have to point our that I love Jill's mom. She is one cool lady.

Yenta: yeah, now you can hate 'em as much as you want, guilt-free! ;)
15 of 24 | Posted by DaffyMaiden | Posted on March 9, 2009 8:50 PM
Yenta! OMG, you cracked me up so hard with "Come on clap for the wretched woman" caption! LOL, and she IS wretched, but I love the fact that she clearly has no idea how ridiculous she looks. I am PRAYING that that comment she made in the first episode (you know the one she made regarding the Silex/JZ fight about "That's the worst thing someone can do is look down on other people") to come back to haunt her later on. I know you'll be right there all over it, too!
Plus, I am horrified at how just plan ugly Kelly is! Deflated football!
Much love to you, I can't wait for the next episode.
love, J-Mo :)

Great recap Yenta as always!
Did anyone else see NYPost article about (zzzz)Kelly getting arrested last week for third degree asault?
17 of 24 | Posted by 2 Old 4 This | Posted on March 10, 2009 10:13 AM
I just loved how they sped up The Cuntess's instructions to Rosario about the "couple small" things she wanted her to do. Heh.
Snarla and Simon VonSpeedo never fail to amuse me. Surely they realize what a desperate pair of social climbers they appear to be?
18 of 24 | Posted by ubiquitous | Posted on March 10, 2009 10:16 AM
Not in the epi, but did anyone hear about Kelly's arrest? She, alledgedly, slapped her boy toy and gave him a black eye and a laceration on his pretty face. D'oh! The Killorens apparently have a mean right hook, too!
19 of 24 | Posted by 2muchbravo | Posted on March 10, 2009 12:35 PM
I guess Kelly isn't so dull after all.

Thank you Yenta--as a former New Yorker you help me through the homesickness.
BTW, I am a shiska, but I have the soul of a jap. Anyway, this will not sit well with most, but, I love Silex. They are who they are and make no excuses. At least Simon looks at Alex when they dine, unlike potential serial killer Mario. Jill is ok, but reminds me of every mom I ever knew in (god forbid) Queens. The Countess--enough said. Horseface punching out her boyfriend--now that's good stuff. Bethany--walking a thin line--don't let it go to your head girl!
Romona--that God for not giving that girl a filter! Too much fun! Let's debate blindness, oh wait that's already been done!
OK--here it is. You guys are the smartest commentators. Help me out with this one, please. My dog had puppies (morkies). We decided to keep one of the three. I quickly named them just to keep track of them. The boy--Elvis--he was born on his b-day-easy choice. The girls were name Sassy and Sweetie--early personality traits. Anyway, we kept Sweetie, but she is more playful than Sweet. Any suggestions for a name? I would really appreciate it! XOXO

Hi
Sorry to post again so soon, but in terms of helping with the dog name (please, please, please) I love old movies. My other two are named Vivian after Vivian Leigh and Norma afer Norma Sheerer (sp?)
Thanks again!
XOXO

XOXO
PS--my first pet, a goldfish was named Tilly--I miss her!
