I was also pissed that Svetlana chose Beth for the Duel last week. I would have liked to see one of the popular girls gone instead. I don't know if I missed something at the beginning of that episode, but it seemed that Svetlana was angry at Beth for telling Brad that someone had told her that Brad had said that Beth was gunning for Robin. I mean... is that any reason to break off an alliance? And I love how TJ keeps making up the Duel rules as he goes along. Craptastic!

I'm so glad that Kina has lost Derrick! It seems the longer these kids stick around on MTV, the more hatable they get. I used to like Kina, Jodi and Robin, but now, I hope they all get kicked off. I detest Kina with a passion.

BonaFide, Svet basically created all the drama herself. She "overheard" Brad saying that he heard that Beth was going to take Robin into the Duel if she got picked. Svet told Beth, Beth was talking to Brad and asking him about what she heard, and he said wanted to know who told her. Beth wouldn't give up names, but Brad called Svet out (probably because he noticed her "overhearing") and Svet gets all upset and starts crying saying the doesn't want any drama and then of course gets on her phone with her bf and says she wants to go home. The only reason she took Beth in the Duel is because everybody thought she was in an alliance with Beth, which she was, and she wanted them to like her.

missgkotter, i watched the episode again on overdrive, and he said that the money for him is more than just putting it in a bank account. maybe it's something symbolic for him.

Anyways, what I actually wanted to say is that by watching the episode again, I saw that Wes is not as smart as I would like to think: on the pole, he had both of his hands near the middle of the pole and Derrick had his hands on the outside.
Don;t simple physics laws tell us that the closer you are to the middle, the more force you are going to have to apply to achieve the same results as if you grabbed the pole further away from the middle, or at least not both hands between derrick's hands?

Physics? Wes? Seriously?

Regardless that Beth was DQ'd because the flag ripped. TJ stated the rules in the begining that you can't rip it off you have to unclamp it and Beth didn't do that so by the rules...she didn't win.
I'm glad she didn't though...I really thought Svetlana was gonna go home(even though i saw her on the next episode from the previews) I was getting scared and i felt bad cuz she was crying.

And I am too rooting for Wes...he seems a little bit more likeable. So it's either Wes or Brad for me, to win.

Too bad, there was some funny stuff to comment on from last week's episode, mainly involving Kina. Did anyone notice how cracked out she looked when she picked Brad after the challenge? And when Beth pulled her tag off the raft, Kina mocked her in the confessional and made Beth seem like an immature 8-year-old... and then we immediately cut to Kina literally throwing a temper tantrum, screaming, "Fuckin' Beth pulled my TAG!" God, I loved it. Also, was anyone else confused by that unnecessary argument at the beginning? It made absolutely no sense to me.

This week's episode was awesome. I LOVE watching Derrick fail each time, but I kind of wish he would just win already so he would stop coming back to EVERY DAMN CHALLENGE. His line about re-evaluating his life was hilarious though. Now, after five years of this shit? 'Bout time, Derrick, 'bout time.

I don't really mind Wes, though the idea of him and Johanna procreating is terrifying. I was confused by his crying but kind of felt bad for him. I was glad he won.

The previews for the rest of the season look AWESOME. I'm glad they showed them because now I can't avoid watching.

Oh, one more thing: Why the hell do they keep rooting for Cancer Girl? Maybe they didn't let her win, but wtf. Did anyone hear, when Evan called her name and called her "birthday girl," someone in the background said something to the effect of, "It's her birthday every day!" Which is basically true, the way everyone treats her. It looks like she goes into a Duel, though, which I cannot WAIT for.

Is it race war week? We got Robin apparently throwing out some racial comments to Aneesa. On RW, Davis is gonna get in some racial hot water. See what Kramer started?!

I'm so annoyed by Diem. Everyone says "shes a cool girl," but I know they're keeping her in the game to show some kind of sympathy for her cancer treatment. It's fucking annoying and stupid. As for Wes, I know he's a cocky fuck but I'm rootin' for the under-dog and I'm sooo tired of ugly Jodi and her parted hair, Kina and her blue eye shadow and Diem and her funky wigs. B_ran (#32), I think Robin was talking about Aneesa's sexuality in the preview. She sounded drunk, but she might sound drunk all the time, so I don't know.

I didn't really care who won that Duel; I just wanted them to beat each other up. Had a feeling Wes would win though (other than a clip I think I saw of CT and Wes fighting, that is). I just really hope he doesn't win the money. I don't know why people are calling him the underdog; he has quite a bit of physical strengths; he just sucks at life. Eric's a lot more of an underdog than Wes.

On Svetlana and Beth, I don't think Svetlana actually entered into Beth's alliance. Or, maybe, with the booting of Nehemiah, she realized it just wasn't going to work anymore since there's only one guy left. Actually, if she did stay in the alliance, she'd have an even worse chance of winning, I think. She has a better chance against the other girls than against Beth and Aneesa when it comes to something weight related. Of course, I might be giving her too much credit.

Anyway, jozeyg (#15) is right about the flag ripping thing being in the rules. Beth even responded to it, so she obviously knew (which is not to say she remembered it, like people forgetting about the flags in the Exile). *shrugs* My whole world's not turned upside down and I'm still going to watch.

Yeah, I do think all that emotional crying by Wes was due to steroid use. It was like dang the floodgates opened and he didn't even know what he was crying about.

Correction, Wes looks like he bodybuilds, CT looks like he works out a lot, Derrick, Brad, Evan, Nehemiah look like they lift weights to stay in shape/have some build. Eric obviously does little of anything.

Watch the episode when they were swimming through mud/had their shirts off.. Wes has the best build (its hard to see through his blinding pastiness) but Nehemiah said on the aftershow that Wes has been a bodybuilder for a while, while Neh and the other guys are more casual about it.

I have a really hard time seeing anybody (other than maybe CT) being able to take Wes out one-on-one when its based on strength.

For some strange reason, I really like Brad - just his goofiness is sooo funny.

About the whole physics thing, it is easier to hold the stick at each end than hold it in the middle because you have more stabilization that way. Like when you are water skiing, it's easier to hold the stick on the outside because it will flap in the wind otherwise if you hold it in the middle. About Beth's DQ I think that it was not her fault that the flag ripped because she was holding on to it when Svetlana pushed the pole thingy and it pushed her back as she was holding on to the flag so it ripped, it was a lame ass DQ and Svetlana should have gone home.
As for this episode, I was surprised to find myself rooting for Wes in the duel I was actually yelling when he won and then he had to ruin it by crying *sigh* oh well. Still I'm glad Wes won and that Derrick is gone woot!
