Hey, Remember Us?

vegasintroshot.gifTalk about your all-time quick turnarounds. No sooner do I finish with the Real World Denver crew than it's time to meet a new cast. Except, no, it's not a new cast, it's the cast from Real World Las Vegas!

Remember 2002? I don't. But apparently a lot of things have changed since 2002. I know my life, or at least, what I remember of it, has changed. I've turned 21, I've gotten engaged, only to have it broken off, I've traveled to Las Vegas, which also resulted in a broken engagement (it had more to do with sobriety than feelings), I graduated college, and I've moved like 4 times, all within about a 60 mile radius. Wow, that really puts into perspective how boring my life is. Well, some of those may be lies (I've gotten better at lying), but it's still pretty boring. My life aside, would you like to find out if the Las Vegas Real Worlders had boring lives as well in the past 5 years? I don't really care, because you're going to find out anyways (note: I DO care! Please read!).

Going into this episode, I really didn't know what to expect from it. My cable's information could not have been more nondescript unless it just said "TV show," so it was obviously of no help, and certainly the way that MTV set the show up, the intro was of no help either. So we're just going to jump into this together and hope for the best. Or at least not the worst.

classiertimes.gif

Ah, those were classy times.

I had some DVR issues, so I'm pretty sketchy on the first 10 minutes of the show or so, so bear with me as I refer to my memory. Yes, this is bad for everyone. The show started out, from the beginning, back in 2002. And I'm talking way back at the beginning, back when everyone arrived in Las Vegas. Trishelle and Steven were first up, and if I remember correctly, Steven said something about enjoying sex, while Trishelle said something about sex not being important. It's obvious that these two were not on the same page, so I'm pretty sure nothing ever came from that.

Up next was Frank. I should clarify here, there was a narrator giving a lot of the backstory, and her voice reminded me of the automated menus you get when calling 800-numbers. Anyways, the narrator said Frank had Abercrombie looks. My response: really? That is a legitimate question, so feel free to answer it. Anyone.

Uhhhh....

Anyways, after that we're introduced to Arissa, who I can remember nothing about, except the narrator said she's a self-described hothead, and then we meet Alton, Irulan, and Brynn.

Ok, those introductions were fairly boring and nondescript (partly my fault probably) so let's get to some action. Apparently, Frank immediately is interested in Trishelle, and who wouldn't be, she's pretty hot, physically. Well, Steven thought Trishelle was totally into Frank. Now, it should be pointed out that all three guys are in the weight room while this conversation is going on, and it just seems so, I don't know, perfect. Guys talking about chicks while working out? And were the guys bonding over lifting weights?

Pit Bonding

So how does Frank do? I would say between well and pretty damn awesome. Except, maybe the opposite of those things, because actually Steven and Trishelle end up making out. Well, actually, it was lucky for Frank, because he didn't actually see them making out. Phew, dodged a bullet. Oh, but wait. They decided to show him, and they basically end up making out on top of him. I can tell that Steven and Frank will be pretty close friends after this. It also looks like Frank has Trishelle right where he wants her. I expect fireworks soon.

makinout.gifAwwww.

You know who else was pissed off that Steven and Trishelle were making out? Brynn. She wanted to make out with Steven. Luckily, she handled it pretty maturely. Brynn, Trishelle and Steven all made out a little bit, and they got into bed together at one point, which was Brynn getting Steve right where she wanted him. Except there was Trishelle between them.

Great recap! Cant wait to see whats gonna happen!

On a side note we've had 2 real world recaps but no 24 or lost season finale recaps?! that sucks... But once again great recap!

This recap was absolutely awesome!! Thanks!

I can't wait to see the reunification of the Vegas cast - they were the last truly interesting RW folks to grace my TV. I'm giddy! Hee!!

awesome...your'e recappng the RW Vegas Reunion!
Good recap...I do remember the original 2002 season, and I thought it sucked. But after the crappy Key West and Denver seasons of late, LV was pretty damn interesting!!!!

Looks like it's gonna be a decent reunion/season... whatever you wanna call it!

Great screencaps BTW you always are "ON POINT" (haha)

I thought the recap was excruciating. No offence. Treadingonme, how much have you been smoking? I usually love your recaps, what the hell happened?

mandymax [TypeKey Profile Page]:

How did I miss this???? I've been waiting for this!!!! When is it on next?!?!?

KermitGirl22 [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Good recap but I really would have loved to see it written by someone who actually watched the original show... there are so many classic, hilarious things in the original that I can't believe it's already been 5 years. Like how Arissa always tries to sound intelligent, but just comes up short "When you put black, in an equation... you can't"

Mandymax--you can watch the episode on mtv's website--can be easier than trying to catch the rerun and there's the added bonus of less commercials...
