Then, he bids farewell to cocaine and alcohol, who have only tricked him and stabbed him in the back. Yeah, they're totally like that, coke and booze. They made him lose everything, and they're selfish bastards. They turned his dreams to nightmares. And he's got one more thing to say to those fuckers, coke and booze, before he kicks them out of his life for good: "Whatchoo gonna do...when the twelve steps go wild on you?" he ends with a sob.

Why wasn't caffeine in that letter?

Everyone in the room is sobbing with him. Dolt gives him a big hug. Meat doesn't want to leave, and he loves the roomies. Stripper didn't know it got that bad, and she agrees with Meat's decision to leave. Rick James was just as much in the dark. He thinks it's a miracle that Meat's survived this long without rehabilitation.

Meat and Goody end on a good note, with Goody quizzing him on going back into rehab. But he's cool with her. And he leaves us with a few more one liners about Hollywood making you or breaking you. He struts out of the house in full star regalia, aviator shades, puffing on a girly cigar. Hollywood's not about fame, he explains, it's about staying clean. Huh. And all this time, I thought Hollywood was for fame, and I don't know, Idaho was for staying clean. Well, what do I know.

They all say goodbye, Blondie's the biggest and phoniest of all...all except Stripper, that is. She's inside, choosing her outfit for her performance that night. Ooooh, it really is a cold world out there. Until she notices that it's really quiet in the house, and comes running out, only to see Meat's taxi driving away. No goodbyes for these two. Oh well.

At least I found the perfect stilettos.

That night at the Hard Rock, Stripper is nervous. Gay Bestie Joey tells her to just imagine everyone naked. Will that logic work on someone who normally takes their clothes off for a living? And no, as a matter of fact, Stripper does not buy into this philosophy, she informs us.

Alex introduces her as a "special treat", which I thought was pretty nice. Alex is cute. It's a catchy tune. And Stripper rocks it out! Her voice is pretty powerful, and she's got great stage presence. She gets really pitchy at the end, but overall it's a good performance, she looks like she's having a great time. "I've finally had my first Hollywood moment," she tells us happily, as she poses for pics with Alex. He gives her good feedback, and I'm stoked for Stripper.

And that was our week - fare thee well, Meaty. Next week, Rick James only has eyes for Key West Janelle...until the new roommate named Brittani with an "i" moves in. Kisses til then!

JasonR:

Good recap, CB. I have to admit I actually got choked up while meat was reading his letter. He does seem like a nice kid who has had a pretty rough life so far, and hopefully things will work out for him. I don't really see him as an actor, except maybe doing Cinemax After Dark movies.

I'm surprised you didn't mention in the "later this season" promos that they show Joey returns, plus two new roomates on the way.

chickbomb: i am saddened by the fact that you didn't make a snarky comment or a have a screen shot of joey spraying himself with about half a can of axe body spray, enough to feed a small group of starving frat boys. to me that explains a lot about his personality or at least the googly eyes.

Sweetleaf:

Hilarious, insightful recap!!
Meatys letter brought tears to these eyes, until the 12-step comment - which was laugable in a not funny way so perfect ending Meat!

Great screen caps - loved

So I found Bri's Myspace page, and it turns out she already has a record deal, albeit on an indie label. She released an EP earlier this month. And she's the opening act for an upcoming Blake Lewis concert. I'm actually kind of proud of her.
