Welcome back to the Trasha-Free Real World Sydney! Last week was a whole lot of ugly as the evil was purged. But this week, Isaac's back, and people are getting bored on the dark side. Let's take a trip to the land down under and see what happens.
Score!
We meet again post-banishment of the evil Trasha back to Fresno. It's a rainy day, and the roommates are laying around in bed, cause that's pretty much all they do in Sydney - that and fight over the phone. But who's that shadowy figure making their way back up to the house, dragging a suitcase behind them? It's Isaac! And he's "back in the atmosphere" he tells us.
He wants to come back from the sadness and bad stuff and go out, have a good time and party. He walks into the house and the first thing he sees is Dumby and Ashli snuggled in bed together. Well, well, well looks like the party started without you, Isaac. So, what's been happening since I've been gone he asks, ready for some dirty sex stories. Instead, he is informed of Trasha's departure. Isaac happily sets off his noisemaker that it seems like he brought to wake up the roomies with, and then comments, "Oh, was that wrong response?"
When met with silence from the cute couple, he offers, "Well, let's celebrate the horribleness of Trisha leaving." Ashli lays wrapped in Dumby's arms in the bed looking puzzled with an inner monologue that must go something like: "What, this guy's happy about Trisha leaving? But...she was our leader. Wasn't she? Is he serious?"
"Who are the cool kids again? Wait, is Parisa one? Shit."
When Isaac goes to wake Parisa, she leaps into his arms, desperately happy to see him. Isaac will make it better! Look what happens when I leave, he muses, Dumby and Ashli in bed together, and battle royales between Parisa and Trasha! He commiserates with KA in the kitchen. "Who died?" she asks, all perky / sad. "My grandfather," Isaac replies. "We're y'all close?" she queries in a casual way that's not really worth responding to, so Isaac kind of ignores her. He wants to know what went down with Trasha.
Well, according to KA, "Trisha went crazy for no reason and pushed Parisa." Wh-wh-wh-what???? What happened to the KA of the itching powder? The loyal Trasha minion? Now all of the sudden Trasha went crazy for no reason? Isaac in no uncertain terms lets her know that he's happy Trasha's gone, cause he - gasp! - didn't like her! "You didn't like her?" KA asks, stunned. KA is informed that NOBODY liked Trasha, and sits there like an idiot mulling over this information. Wait, nobody likes Trisha? Do I?
Totally a compliment in Texas.
Parisa overhears this part of the conversation, and chooses that moment to make her entrance, with the news that, "Oh, no it's switched - everyone hates ME now." Isaac takes this bit of nonsensical information perfectly, meaning he ignores it and tells Parisa, well, I like you. Done. How fucking fabulous is Isaac?
KA climbs up on her high horse, from where she no doubt has a perfect vantage point to spit on Parisa again, because that's what KA does, but instead she takes the opportunity to say that while it sucks living in a house with people she doesn't get along with, she just can't like someone she doesn't respect, and she doesn't respect Parisa. Unfortunately, she adds at the end. Like, she's bummed about it too, you know.
But when Isaac asks KA if she hates Parisa, she hedges. Without Trasha there to remind her, she falters. Isaac says that Trasha pushed Parisa, Parisa felt threatened and he can't argue with that.
Then it's Ashli's phone time. "It's only been us four all week cause we don't like Parisa" she chatters away to her friend. Does she realize she sounds like a mean twelve year old? Does she care? No, not really, cause what she really wants to talk about is Dumby. There's nothing going on with us, really, cause he has a girlfriend, she tells her pal. I mean, I sleep in the bed with him, but we just spoon, she continues. Yeah, you spoon HALF NAKED, you dimwit whore, but whatever. Each time they spoon, he becomes more hesitant though, Ashli mentions, so she thinks the spooning is about to end soon. If Dumby said it made him uncomfortable, she'd back off, she assures everyone.
The minute I stop feeling a hard little pinky against my backside, I'm outta there.

wow, what a doucheface. I can't get over how much of a waste of space Dumby is. Does he not realize that saying he loves his girlfriend does not absolve him of guilt? And in true abuser fashion, he blames the woman. typical.

I have to say that while watching this episode, I kept imagining Trisha watching this back in Fresno. She's probably been happily going about her life, thinking that KA and Ashli have remained her faithful followers, and made Parisa's life hell.
Now, she knows that not only did that not happen, but everyone hates her. HA!! You get back what you give out.

Gosh, is this the best season in a long time or what. They need to have more outside of the country seasons, cause when they are in America, they just get drunk and hang out with other people. Being in another country forces them to be together and brings on the drama. I mean Cow and KA hooking up is definately a product of boredom, and next week preview about the condom, who even knew they were having sex. Isaac is the best, the way he diffused the whole Parissa and Trasha situation, shows what kind of person he is. This season rocks, and I really don't know what to say about Dumby!

As I wrote in the comments section under last week's recap:
"Wait, did I miss something? Is it snowing in hell? Since when is ChickBomb SYMPATHIZING with Parisa? Way to switch sides, there, CB. You were on Trisha's side for the longest, through all the mean-spirited things she did and said. I haven't forgotten how evil and judgmental you were (hmm, reminds me of someone...) towards Parisa just because she's a fan of mom jeans. Don't jump on the Parisa bandwagon now that Trisha's gone, CB. Stick with your original sister-love for Trisha."
And now you like Isaac, too, eh? I remember when he was just a jumpsuit punchline to you. Oh how the tides change. CB, me thinks you were a mean girl in high school, too. You have the side-switching and catty jokes parts down cold. I like you much better when you're making fun of Dunbar's acne and violent, manipulative tendencies.

Oh, and I'm glad I actually saw this episode without reading your recap first for a change because I get to see with my own eyes that Parisa actually looks VERY attractive. What a Trisha-exile will do for an ostracized girl.
5 of 35 | Posted by blahblah | Posted on December 8, 2007 7:24 PM
And finally (for now), Dunbar is a loser. Ashli is an even bigger loser for sleeping with a loser...and within what? a couple days of being on the show? I can't wait until she realizes that having sex with Dunbar is the same as petting a tiger.

Wow, for a while Parisa really grinded my gears, but she totally redeemed herself by getting rid of Trasha the droopy-eyed wonder Christian. Dumby is looking more small town gas station attendent every week. Ashl-I is a total squishy-faced slut. LOVE Issac, no wonder he made "The Soups" clip of the week twice.

i can't help but feel like the reason why trisha didn't like parisa was because she was muslim. maybe it's just me. or she doesn't like educated people who don't are useless sluts.
8 of 35 | Posted by Niecy | Posted on December 9, 2007 2:11 AM
well that is just terrible grammar on my part, lol. what i meant to say was "or she doesn't like educated people who aren't useless sluts."
9 of 35 | Posted by Niecy | Posted on December 9, 2007 2:22 AM
Hey now blah, don't rag on Chicky. She is just calling it like she sees it, from episode to episode. I doubt she knows any of these sluts personally.
From MY perspective, they all seem damn near impossible to live with, so my allegiance depends on who was the least heinous each week.
Why is MTV picking these awful people? WHYY? The good people stopped with San Diego. Back then the people were actually fun and interesting, not horribly belligerant, and had some direction in life. Hell, there were even some stoners thrown in there, rather than 7/7 alcoholics. I can't say enough bad things about the recent casts:
Parisa: hostile, self-righteous obnoxious girl
KA: manipulates people and situations to making it seem like she's always in the "right"
Dunbar: just..no. the worst person ever to grace TV. he is an abusive asshole and needs THERAPY
Ashli: mind-numbingly stupid
Shauvon: idiotic drunk
Trisha: disgustingly bigoted, yet too stupid to understand the concepts behind christianity
UGHGHGHHHH i would go on and on with Denver, Key West, Austin, Philly, but...I have things to do. MTV is setting an example for young teenagers that it's ok to yell at people and drink to the point of belligerance and blackouts. IT'S NOT.

Great recap CB! I have to at least give Dumby some credit for shaking up the whole RW-cheat-on-your-boy/girlfriend-
call-them-they-cheat-on-you-lots-
of-crying-ensues routine. It happens almost every single season and it's tired. That said, I won't be visiting Mississippi anytime soon to find myself a boy.
KA is schizo as hell. And that's an insult to schizos. Issac had them all thinking straight 10 seconds after walking back into the house.
This episode made me feel at peace liking Parisa again. Always liked ya sister, but you needed some more self-respect.
And Niecy, I think that is exactly what was going on. Heaven forbid we like someone who isn't a slutty WASP.
11 of 35 | Posted by HereKittyKitty | Posted on December 9, 2007 9:11 AM
Niecy, I don't know why, but I ALWAYS thought that was the precise reason that Trasha didn't like Parisa.Trasha just seems like that type of person, so I don't feel bad at all jumping to that assumption.
Skippy, I also agree that SD was the last good season. I could at least tolerate the Philly, Key West, Denver, and Austin casts, but this Sydney cast is too much for me.

I effing love Isaac! its funny that the voice of reason is the guy who used to do LSD and jumps in fish tanks naked.

I completely agree with the poster blahblah. I too have always been annoyed by the recapper, Chickbomb's, persistent hostility to Parisa. I mean, I understand that Parisa has been frustrating at times( the whole Alex and Dunbar incidents), but it's like, enough is enough! I think each and every single one of her female roommates have demonstrated far more disgusting and obscene behaviour. Shauvon throwing shit at people, Kelly-Anne's two-facedness and SPITTING?!! on people, what else, there's Ashli, who hasn't shown one redeemable quality since she moved into the RW house, and Trisha, Lord, where do I start with that one-racist, ultimate shit-talker, manipulative and just overall vermin. The only time I honestly didn't like Parisa was when she was talking shit on KA the first episode, because she was obviously jealous of Dunbar's attraction towards her. But come on, other than that, she has been the one person everyone rags on, and she is still pleasant and kind-hearted, I don't understand what chickbomb has against Parisa-her obsession with her is really weird, considering the rest of the roommates' far more offensive flaws.

Oh yeah, and Isaac is the MAN!
15 of 35 | Posted by Jazzy | Posted on December 9, 2007 10:04 PM
I am so glad Isaac is back and that he fixed everything by saying how it is. I actually like Parisa and am glad she feels better. Thanks to Isaac for being by her side. He is such a great guy and that's what she needed. Someone to be on her side and tell her everything is going to be alright.
As far as Dumby.. It seems like he has to keep reminding himself that he loves Julie. But, if you have to keep telling yourself that, you probably don't love that person at all. And him sleeping with Ashli shows how much he CARED about Julie. I hate cheaters! I hope she finds out and dumps his ass. I just can't believe how much of a slut Ashli is..wait, yes I can! It's her fault as well, she knew he had a girlfriend and still went for it. I have a special someone in my life, and I would never ever lay in bed with another guy, even if it was spooning. That would be so disrespectful. Just because you are so far away from them, doesn't mean they will never know. Hello... you are on TV and there are cameras everywhere! These people are so dumb!
So, can't wait to see the next episode!LOL
nflow:,I am wondering that same thing. Where have I been that I didn't even know Cow and KA were having sex! When did that happen????
16 of 35 | Posted by sillage3 | Posted on December 10, 2007 6:59 AM
I definitely think Trasha didn't like Parisa bc she was muslim...she made comments alluding to that often. I bet Dumby will find some way to blame Julie for his cheating...

I usually don't pay much attention into any recapper bashing, because i feel like what they do is really hard. But i have to say, for weeks people went crazy because there was too much parisa bashing. People were super pissed and kept saying, just spread the criticism around.
So now Chickbomb spreads the criticism around, and everyone is pissed because they think she is jumping bandwagons. Get over it! These people are all horrendous and the recaps are purely for entertainment. Chickbomb I think your recaps are great, keep up the good work.

I thought everyone knew that KA and Cow were having sex. They've been sleeping in the same bed for awhile now and you just don't sleep in someone's bed every nite and it's all jus innocent.....i mean look what happened with Dunbar and Ashli. Didn't take long there, did it?
I think KA and Cow are the cute little couple of the show. Even though I really don't like KA now.
19 of 35 | Posted by jozeyg | Posted on December 10, 2007 10:52 AM
Not only is Julie still with Dumby, she completely blames Ashli for the whole incident. I believe her words were something along the lines of "I'm not going to let a dumb wh*re ruin my life." 'Cuz you know, Ashli dragged Dumby to bed, pinned him down, and forced him to have sex. Right.
20 of 35 | Posted by morningshy | Posted on December 10, 2007 12:32 PM
So it's BAD when Trasha pushed Parisa, but it's OKAY/FUNNY when Isaac pushed Parisa into the fountain at the end of the episode? I know P and I were playing around ...but a push is a push. Isaac's lucky she landed upright as she did ... and lucky Parisa likes him, or else she could have had him booted off the show.
21 of 35 | Posted by C MacKenzie | Posted on December 10, 2007 1:27 PM
wait, where did you see that julie is still dgj? that's stupid. why do women insist on staying with cheaters? especially cheaters whose every move are captured on film. there's no ambiguity in this situation, no "it's not what you think." no, moron, it's exactly what you think.
22 of 35 | Posted by watermelon | Posted on December 10, 2007 2:35 PM
C MacKenzie,
Sorry to disagree with your thinking on Isaac pushing Parisa. It was not anything like Trisha's. She ran at Parisa fully intent on hurting her - and forcefully shoved her. Isaac was being playful. It's like comparing a charging bull to a goofy dog that jumps on you playfully. Come on.
23 of 35 | Posted by IndyHillsAddict | Posted on December 10, 2007 6:46 PM
I read "he changes on an hourly basis" as "she charges on an hourly basis."
I guess that's just where my mind goes when thinking about Ashli.

Top 3 Quotes of the Recap:
#3 "Damn, you made me yawn from around the world," he accuses her. Get the belt.
#2 Lines crossed, legs spread, call it what you want Ash, he's a cheater and you're a slut.
#1 I'm sure she thinks she's being all smooth - emailing so no one can see, but Ashli's new around these parts, and nobody's warned her about the sneaky PA yet. So while she's typing away in pretend private bliss, her words are scrolling across the bottom of the screen like CNN headline news. "We had sex!" she's saying. She follows it with the warning not to say ANYHTING about it to ANYONE! Oh poor, mentally challenged Ashli. Your friend won't have to say a word. That's what all those cameras are there for, hon. They can see in the dark.
LMAO!! luv'd the recap CB.
how did i completely miss that ashli and dummy did it? she'quite easy, that one. i mean how long has she been in the house-5 seconds?
there aren't even any words to describe dunbar. what a fricking douche-bag/tool/asshole. he has the NERVE to keep acting like he gives a flip about julie when he's really just out to get some ass.
do y'all notice how he's always shifting the blame on ashli like "she's put here to tempt me", "her body's just like julie's", blah blah blah, BS, BS, BS!
25 of 35 | Posted by babeblue | Posted on December 10, 2007 8:04 PM
IndyHillsAddict, I have to agree with you about the Issac "push" if you can call it that. Anyone who calls Trasha a raging bull is a friend of mine.
And how could anyone mistake Cow and KA's sleeping together for not having sex? What did you think they were doing? Participating in Amish bundling ceremonies? Wait that's not totally innocent either? See my point?
26 of 35 | Posted by HereKittyKitty | Posted on December 11, 2007 6:50 AM
I'm surprised it took Dumby Bear and Asslee so long to do it. You can only sleep in the same bed and spoon for so long.
What's funny is that Kelly Ann does it with Cohutta in next week's ep. Makes me wonder if she only did it because Asslee did it.
Seriously how stupid, and immature did Asslee and KA look during their convo. It was sad, disgusting, disturbing, and hilarious all at once.
Isaac is the man.

Cow and KA having sex is news to me. KA is known as a tease, and there haven't been episodes dealing with it. Next ep. will let us know what's up.
28 of 35 | Posted by bakismaki | Posted on December 11, 2007 8:04 AM
Know what I'm hoping? That Trasha is watching these episodes and reading the blogs. I want her to be fully aware that her little cronies turned on her in 2 seconds flat, and that the guys didn't like her. They're Trasha followers just like Trasha is a Jesus follower; when it's convenient.
Dunbar is ridiculous, and what makes it worse is that I probably would've slept with him in college because I was retarded like that.
I'm actually one of the loyal viewers of EVERY single season of The Real World. It's so hard to believe that these people are the same age of some of the past cast-members!! I remember they used to seem so old and mature when I was a teenager watching the past seasons. Now, even though I'm older, the old cast members still seem like normal, functional people. The cast members in recent seasons are like lab rats on meth or something.

I can't wait to see the outcome of Cow & KA's broken condom bone dance. YEE HAW. Sure hope that Dummybear & Assli used one. I'd hate to see that baby! It would come out with its legs permanently spread and swinging a belt.
30 of 35 | Posted by IndyHillsAddict | Posted on December 11, 2007 10:13 AM
Is it just me or is Ashli not at all attractive? Maybe its her personality, but I dont see why Dumby is so attracted to her in the first place. Julie is much prettier and sexier
31 of 35 | Posted by NoName | Posted on December 11, 2007 3:37 PM
Parisa being Muslim has NOTHING to do with Trishas hatred - that would mean that religion is important to Trisha and it is definetly not! Christians of all degrees have been represented on RW and the only connection I saw Trisha have with her faith was when she recognized a Christian Rock song, and that was all for show.
I agree with you all - this season is one of the best in a long time. Isaac & Parisa & the Fountain was great. Isaac is awesome and Parisa is real.

Thank you for another fabulous re-cap. I'm still giggling.
Ashli and Dumby were playing with fire. Suprise! We all saw it coming. Why didn't they? Poor Julie- home in her PJ's being all trusting and everything...I hope she bangs the entire offensive line before Dumby comes back with an infection.
And Parisa? Who cares if she's a jerk? SHE BEAT TRASHA, THE DRUNKEN CHRISTIAN SCUMWHORE...and now I am on her side. You know that thing about your enemies enemies? GOO Parisa!
Isaac aka Yoda, was a welcome relief.
But I still hate all these people.

You know who I miss? That other drunken Blonde- the one with the gigantic boobs and a huge matching butt? YOU KNOW- the one that would get drunk and suddenly turn into a violent psycho- throwing stuff at people, being horrible and disgusting...the one that went home because her Boyfriend demanded it.
She isn't as repulsive as Trasha, but she was pretty close. I mean, you never knew what she would do next.
And Trasha...our leading steaming pile...ahh how she will be missed...

I haven't watched this show since stopping the recaps of Vegas Reunion. So I'm grossly misinformed.
In Ashli's defense regarding Parisa: judging from recaps, it seemed like Ashli tried to be friendly with Parisa, but the effort wasn't even close to being reciprocated. So Ashli didn't really know anything but a distant Parisa. It at least makes a little sense that that's could be why she thought no one liked Parisa, and just jumped on the bandwagon.
And in Ashli's defense of Dunbarsex: who sleeps with a dude named Dunbar? But, if there's one thing that's going to get a guy to respect you/make you feel better about yourself, it's sleeping with him. Also, again, I've not watched the episodes, but doesn't she kind of seem like a girl who will casually mention her birth control? "Oh, dad, they think you're in Mexico. Oh, and don't worry, I found my birth control."
