So, two episodes into Real World Sydney and we've already got controversy! Apparently, Trasha's dramatic interpretation of an accented McDonald's worker who couldn't accommodate a taste test (at McDonald's...a taste test) was not particularly well received. Her agent released a statement saying that basically, she was misinterpreted. That's right, I said agent. Apparently Trasha has now joined the leagues of ninety million other former Real World "actors" to pound the streets of Hollywood looking for meaningful, substantive acting work. I'll tell you right now, when they do Rock of Love Two, she so better submit.
PS, Trasha, your agent sucks. "Misrepresented?" Sooooo spinning it in the wrong direction. Anyone who's ever read US Weekly knows the right answer to that one was yes, she was ignorant, but now she's been to Real World Rehab and tolerates McDonald's workers of all accents. Then you do Larry King. He's very non confrontational. Trust Trasha to pick a publicist dumber than she is.
This week starts with another trip to the beach. Can I just say again how nice it is to not be in Denver? Parisa is helping Dunbar out with some suntan lotion, and she makes a suntan lotion smiley face on his back. It would have worked for KellyAnne, but in Parisa's hands, Dunbar is not amused.
"Can't you just apply lotion properly?" he snaps at her. And what, Grand Master, is the proper way to apply lotion? You're supposed to rub it in your hands, and then apply, he scolds accusingly. Ohhhhh. Dunbar's Girlfriend Julie never would have left him with ill-applied sunblock. She knows the procedure.
This girl could teach you a couple things.
Dumby continues to lecture Parisa on the finer points of suntan lotion application. She apologizes pathetically and profusely and then his big stupid head fills my screen to tell me that Parisa needs to chill out. He's sulking in the sand, pouting about a suntan lotion smiley face. That's right, she's the uptight one.
Then Dumby explains he's naturally flirtatious, but he wants to be just friends with Parisa. Hence the whole rubbing suntan lotion on his back thing. Later that night, they're at the local pub, Parisa tells us that when she first met Dunbar, she thought he had nothing more to offer than a hot body and a cute face. Are you kidding me? That girl was weighing wedding song choices the day they met.
But whatever, you didn't have it for him, so you say, and now you want to get to know him. As a...friend. By the way, Dumby's wearing a flannel shirt and a backwards trucker hat. Come on, I thought the trucker hat thing died like three years ago. And backwards? There is no such thing as Mississippi Frat Boy Chic.
Even Cowhutta's straw hat is edgier than this.
Parisa attempts to buy Dumby's "friendship" with a drink. He doesn't want her to. He tells us again that he only wants to be friends and he's just a flirtatious person and she's taking things the wrong way. You can tell Dumby's starting to get exasperated. It's so hard "in this situation". All he wants is a friend and some professional suntan lotion application. Why does she keep getting things confused?
Well, the free drink was a bust. Parisa's Plan B is to complain about how her back hurts and that she needs a massage. Dumby replies that he can not be that person for so many reasons. It's a no, P. Feel free to convert him to Islam and marry him over in fantasy land, but here in reality, he slumbers with the cute one. KellyAnne says that Parisa needs to stop. He's someone else's dude, someone else's guy and someone else's beau. Wow, KA that's a lot of ways to say boyfriend! But I'm sure none of them will stop you when it's 2 am in the hot tub.
The next day, the first thing we hear is Dumby telling Isaac "If you wear your jumpsuit, I'll wear my overalls." Jumpsuit? Overalls? I feel sick, but intrigued. Sure enough, the jumpsuit in question is the one from Isaac's photo on the website, only this time the white rimmed specs aren't clear, they're shades. Really takes away from the look, I say. Cow and Dumby are reviewing underwear options for overalls. Cow mentions something about buttons and his "dong". I also notice for the first time, that Cow appears to be tiny. Inbreeding?

I feel bad for Parisa and at the same time slightly embarassed for her because she's basically throwing herself at that uggo and he's being a total douche to her. He's not even worth it. I kinda like her though and Shauvon too. The only ones I'm really starting to dislike are Kellyanne and Dumbass but apparently next week we get to see that Dumby talks sh*t about both girls and at least Sluttyanne calls him on it. Great recap :)

I think KellyAnne is a virgin. I don't know why but something tells me she has this big crazy freaky unexpected secret. I bet she's done everything BUT actual sex though!

Was that CT who just tried to have his head shaved and go back on The Real World under the alias, Issac?

I like Parisa as much as the next person, but I found her behavior last week to be borderline annoying. Doesn't she have any dignity? Not only does Dunbar not return any of the feelings she has for him, but he is annoyed by those feelings. She needs to back off and stop making an ass of herself on national television!
Overall, this was a better recap than last week's, but I still can't get into the name variations. Take a page from B-Side's book and make fun of their names in the first recap, and then move on! For instance, he didn't call Colie "E. Colie" the entire season of RW Denver or Breanna "The Jaw" the entire season of LB3. That's more a one-time joke kinda thing as opposed to a Paula-esque "KISS MY ASS!" recurring joke kinda thing.

I thought this recap was really funny... especially the screencaps.
There's just so much you can say about how Parisa thinks she's so "well respected." She annoys me to no end. It was kind of funny at times how Dunbar kind of owned her with his snide comments - he's an ass, but at times I think she deserved it.
Has anyone else noticed that the cameramen LOVE KA's ass? I've seen more of her ass than her face.

It's been pretty hard for me to get through the RW episodes. I found the last cast amusing, but these people are just reprehensible for the most part. I cannot stand Trasha and Dumbbar. KA is extremely annoying, and Parisa is annoying as well. I might be quitting on this season pretty soon.

This part of the recap was hilarious, "Shauvon knows that Dumby's not the right person, not only does he have a girlfriend, but she sees through the insecure little game he's playing with Parisa and KA. Parisa says he has enough on his plate, and she doesn't want to be something else on the to-do list. No worries love, you're on the never-do list."

I can see why the camera man focuses on KA's ass. So would i, it is the only thing redeeming about this show, and as we learned from the first episode this is how she communicates, by writing messages on her ass.
I don't mind the nicknames, all you B-Side fanboys have to let it go. He has moved on to a job that may pay him something. Think of it as when that Ol'Willie Brown told Ralph Machio in "Crossroads" about Robert Johnson when he only gave us 12 songs and we should be thankful for that.

Amen, Popo, thank you for calling that out (about the b-side fanboys, not KAs ass... though, yeah, amen to that too). You took the words out of my mouth.

omg...i can't stand Dunbar. He's such an ass, and I love that he just struts his stuff around like he's the hottest thing that has walked this earth. I'd rather take a bath with my hair dryer then watch him "play" these poor girls. He makes me agry when I watch him. And Parisa, get a clue! You're getting pathetic, and believe me, I feel for you, but stop it already!
FURTHERMORE... what's w/ KA'a bangs??? Seriously? I mean, sometimes they look okay, but for the most part, "Hello! 1988 called, and they want their curling iron back!

I feel bad for Parisa because she's clearly being messed with by Dunbar. But can we really feel all that bad for her? Not only does he have a gf but he clearly has a big thing for Kelly Anne. It's dumb for her to keep feeling as strongly for him as she does and to keep pursuing him.
The dumbest of all of them is Dunbar. Does he not realize that his girlfriend at home will see all of this? He can't possibly think that he'll still have a girlfriend when he gets back home.
It's also ridiculous how overboard the casting directors have gone on this show. The only people on the show anymore are supermodel types. I still remember the days when real people were actually on The Real World. I miss those days...
