First up to solo is Anya, wearing a leopard print unitard. With fringe. Ballroom dancers... This week she's got faster music and it's certainly better than last week, but still not mindblowing, which is what the judges seem to look for in a solo. Also, female dancers really need to stop trying to use the railing as a prop, it just makes them look like strippers.

Frandstrip
When did Fran Drescher's couch start stripping?

Next is Danny. Beautiful, shirtless, AMAZING Danny. Once again, he freaking DANCES for his LIFE. Shauna is up next and does another great solo, though not as spectacular as the last time she saved herself. Though maybe I'm just distracted because she's dancing to The Cranberries. Heh, Cat pulls the "fingers crossed it's enough to stay." Every time she says it I detect a little more sarcasm.

Cedricfine
I think you're fine just the way you are, stud.

Cedric's solo is full of the boneless dancing we're used to from Cedric. So freaking cool and, yes, unique, but it's not all about the solos. (Thank God!) Jamie's solo is lovely and impressive. I didn't know 190 degree splits were possible. Hok dances last to "Ease on Down the Road," and it's amazing how he puts a story and a character in his 30-second solo. Love him.

After the judges head backstage to deliberate, Hilary Duff comes out to perform. Okay, want to hear a secret? She's the first performer all season that I didn't immediately fast forward. I'm sorry, but "So Yesterday" is so catchy! Don't judge me. Anyways, this is really boring and I eventually come to my senses and fast forward.

Hilbuff
Hilary sure loves showing off those new abs, doesn't she?

When we come back from commercial, the girls are ready to hear who's going home. Nigel makes a point to mention that they are not basing their decision purely by how everyone danced that night, but on how they've performed over the entire show - AhemCedricAhem.

Jamie is safe. Anya's solos are not strong enough, and he knows she's used to dancing with a partner, but SYTYCD is also a solo show, so she needs to figure out how to do one. However, Anya's shown great growth throughout the season, so she is staying. Also because Shauna has no personality. Shauna doesn't seem that surprised.

On to the gentlemen. Cedric is going home. Nigel gives him the ol' thanks and goodbye. We all knew that was coming. Next step: Debbie Allen's school, Cat reminds him. At home, Debbie Allen is all:

Debbiehuh
Huh? Whaaa?

LOl great recap.
I was SO glad to see Cedric finally go. God it was just WAY past his time.
It was sad to see Shauna go, but between her and the other 2 I can see why.
I wish Lauren was in the bottom though so they could've kicked her annoying ass out.
I swear she is just.. UUUUGGGGHHH...
When I saw what she was wearing to that premiere.. and then her whole "alter ego asian" bullcrap on the show the night before...
Most annoying woman EVER

The "asian alter ego" bit from Lauren was beyond stupid. Hopefully next week she will be done.
I was super sad to see Shauna go -- she was really one of my favorite girls. I think it should have been Anya to go. I have to say, though, she looked really good as a blonde!!

Danny is amazing. Such a beautiful, elegant, controlled, fabulous dancer. I love him more each week. He's professional and reserved - not a bad thing. Since most of the viewers apparently don't share my feelings, I think I might be compelled to actually vote this week.

Right now, my favorites are Danny, Pasha, and Anya. Also, I think Jamie is pretty amazing, but she really hasn't had an opportunity to show her full amazing-ness in most of her partner dances.

And... I don't really like Dominic. No, he isn't as terrible as he could be on his non-hip-hop dances, but he isn't that great, either. Over hyped.

As much as Dominic annoys me when he starts making strange faces during chats with Cat and the judges, every time he and Sabra dance I find myself loving him. Those 2 are definitely at the top of my list.

Thank god Cedric is gone.

Really glad to see Cedric go, not so thrilled about Shauna I think she was pretty much screwed by her partner, I thought anya should have went totally agreed about the whole cant dance solo thing, I am really anxious for them to switch partners, I want them to pair danny with someone like sabra or lacey we all know he can dance he needs a partner with great personality so america will vote for them. Danny will make the top ten because unless he falls on his face (literally) the judges are not sending him home no matter how many times he's in the bottom three. So here are my favorites
Girls: Sabra, Lacey
Guys:Dominic, Danny, and maybe Kameron (only bcuz I doubt Danny will make it much farther)

I really thought Anya's solo was weaker than Shauna's- but the judges love her (as do I) so it worked out okay.

Lauren and Neil were saved by Wade Robeson. Which is most likely why she was so excited when they pulled him out of the hat. Let's hope they get one of the weaker choreographers this week (disco anyone?)

goldeeloxx Author Profile Page:

Geez, am I the only one here that likes Hok???

Laurie, you are sooooo right: Wade saved Neil and Lauren's asses... Can't wait for tonight's show, and for Krank's recap... The part at the end with the picture of Debbie Allen and the sub "Huh? Whaaa?", that is just CLASSIC!

Luv ya, Krankie!

Was it just me or was Hilary Duff lip synching the whole time she was onstage? She's an awful performer live....her eyes were closed the entire time.

Also, I notice that the dancers who now get the slow dances....get the bottom 3.
