Mia tortures poor Dominic by asking him what he thinking. Dominic is scared, especially since Mia hated him in Vegas, and he's hoping she can see how his contemporary has improved. Mia, in a long, roundabout speech ends up being touched by Dominic. Lol, she calls out Nigel's phrase and says that Dominic "is truly what this competition is about." I want to laugh but she's being SO EARNEST. Mary agrees, saying she loved the partnering work. Geez. Mary's obsessed with partnering this week. Nigel calls Sabra outstanding and hopes she "doesn't slip through the net." Um, thanks? There's a bit about Dominic shaving his toes that the judges find hilarious, but it's not actually that funny.

Hairy feet = comedy gold

Faina started dancing at a young enough age that by 13 she was sick of it and ready to quit. Her mother, in typical stage-mom fashion, refused to let Faina quit, and Faina is so grateful for that today. Cedric started dancing for his mother, so he could vent his emotional frustration through movement by dancing instead of by fighting. Hey, isn't that the plot of You Got Served?

This week the pair picks the Foxtrot. Yikes, this is going to be a mess. Their goon of a choreographer goes on and on about railroad tracks and I don't think anyone knows what he's talking about here.

The performance starts out well and I'm just so amazed by Cedric's long legs. Once they really start getting into things, however, Cedric's discomfort starts showing and the whole routine suffers. Faina looks gorgeous and dances grandly, but it's not enough to make up for Cedric.

Mia calls that dance "Ginger Rodgers and an insecure Michael Jackson." Mia wanted more style from Cedric. Agreed. Mia wants him to "take the next step." You know a couple's chances don't look good when the judges start saying "if you stay in this competition..."

We all know Lacey's life story: her whole family dances, her parents are swing champions, she's danced since she was BORN. Kameron was inspired to dance by his sister, after seeing her onstage. Last week the pair excelled in their contemporary routine, so how will they do with Broadway tonight?

Tyce is once again choreographing. He says to look for "sex appeal, dangerous and a little bit of sex appeal." You just know they're dancing to something from Chicago. Lacey worries about being sexy and says she needs to "take notes from some people." Which people? I want the goss!

Whoa, who knew Lacey had abs like those? She normally looks kind of chunky. They're both great, but once again, as much as I love Kameron, Lacey steals the show. The routine itself is really fun and fast and not too faux-Fosse. I think it's great.

Glitter Gyno

Mia thinks that while they're the sexiest couple, she wished everything had been a little flashier and spicier. Uh, I think Lacey's bra has enough flash for the both of them. Mary and Nigel both loved it unequivocally, though, so I think they'll be safe for another week.

Anya started ballroom dancing because her parents made her, but loved it for the glamorous gowns. Danny got into a lot of trouble as a kid, so started dancing as an outlet to get himself out of trouble. Dance! Saving lives!

This week the couple draws another ballroom style, the Viennese Waltz. Danny has no idea what that means, but Anya rightly comments, "You know the sad part? Neither do I!" Heh, they're so still my favorites.

The goony choreographer who taught Cedric and Faina the Foxtrot is back for this one. I guess he only does the really WASP-y dances. Anya explains the woman is there to be the man's vision. "And yet, we're not romantically involved," explains Danny ('cause he's gay!). Basically, we're looking for an old-school romance and trust between the partners.

We have funeral packages for every budget.

Oh irritating, they're dancing to Lifehouse. My ears! They hurt! But the pair are smooth and lovely and elegant and turn beautifully together. The "runaround" move they showed in rehearsal looks even better in performance. LOVE THIS COUPLE.

Mia comments that these two are the lady and man of the competition, with their maturity and professionalism. She calls them stunning and beautiful. Mary thought they stepped out of a dream. She thought it was technically wonderful and throws in a patented Mary Murphy scream for good measure. Nigel comments that even people who don't know dance would know that was a gorgeous performance.

I think I realized that Pasha was cute when he wore his tie to rehearsal last week! How cute is that! And also, he seems like such a gentlman!

As much as I like Anya and Danny and they are lovely together, I'm not sure they like each other very much.

Another fine recap!

I do have to respectfully disagree with you on one couple - Sabra and Dominic. I got chills watching them. I thought the routine was simply gorgeous.

And Sara and Jesus rocked. Their music sucked, but the routine itself rocked.

Can we PLEASE get rid of Baby Oil?

I have always thought Pasha was really hot. Even with the tooth gap. I'm still bummed they but him with baby oil girl, everything she does drives me insane. Lauren is starting to annoy me as well, she just looks so 'dance team' to me. And who dressed her this week? Yikes.

Sara and Jesus were almost screwed by that horrible music. Worst Paso music/remix of Queen ever. But they pulled off the dance itself pretty well.

Well, first off, not EVERY single male dancer is gay. In fact, the only ones on this show who have struck me that way are Jimmy and Jesus and Ricky (sort of). The rest seem pretty straight to me. They just happen to love dance.

I love Dominic now. Last week, I was so mad that Ricky got the boot over him, but this week, he proved me wrong and was awesome. But I can't believe you didn't comment on his line about Sabra falling on his weiner. That was so funny!

I liked Sabra and Dominic this week, Sara and Jesus not so much, Anya and Danny are awesome, Jessi still sucks, Neil and Lauren rock my socks, Pasha is super hot, Kameron and Lacey are great and Cedric pisses me off because look how terrible he was this week. Just awful. He should have left over Ricky. Although Ricky is totally creepy - check out his bio on Fox.com. It's weird...

All in all, great recap!

when Kameron was talking about how he started dancing am i the only one who thought he was going to break into "i can do that" from a chorus line?

One thing i always liked about sytycd is that the music usually went so well with the dance and they werent afraid to use more classical music for some of the ballroom stuff. guess thats over. it totally ruined the paso!

I actually liked Sara and Jesus's performance to We Will Rock you.
It would've been better if it wasn't that remixed mess, but it was different and caught your attention.
Other than the music though.. I thought Jesus did a great job.

Rainbodragon, you kill me! "I Can Do That"....ha, ha. That I can do!!

It's too bad that these dancers are captive to the choreographers routine and song choice, because I thought Sara and Jesus did rather well, considering their respective training. If they'd chosen a different song with more Spanish flare, we might have looked at it differently.

Mmmm...Pasha. What a cutie! Kameron with a "K" may be SYTYCD's resident hottie, but Pasha has a good guy niceness about him that is totally appealing. And Neil doesn't suck eggs, either. But his partner does. Yikes! Exercise your right to just say "no" to crappy outfits and high school pom-pom routines, Lauren. Ugh.

I still detest Mary Murphy and her flounder mouth. And her signature cackle/scream makes me want to throw something at the telly.

I am with you, Krank Mills. I heart Pasha with the fire of a thousand suns (not really, but I like him a whole lot), and the jazz with him and Jessi was my favorite of the night. I also thought Danny and Anya were spectacular.

Dom and Sabra, despite the ridiculous length of the judges' tongue bath of them and seemingly every other person on the internet being in love with the pair of them, were "just okay" to me, to quote Dan Karaty. I didn't get much out of the routine, hated the choreography and can take or leave the both of them (although I like them more than both Cedric and Jamie. Yikes.)

Who the hell is Jamie?
Seriously, is that a dancer on the show?

Several hours later, I figured out. That probably means she needs to go home.

I love Pasha. So cute. Of course, I pretty much have a thing for sexy ballroom-dancing Russians. I think Dmitry was probably flat-out sexier than Pasha, but Pasha is a much better dancer outside of his style. Love him! I was so sad he was in the bottom 3, so I might actually have to vote tomorrow. If they send Pasha home I will be seriously angry.

Danny and Anya are fabulous. Quite professional and lovely, but maybe lack something in the personal connection realm. I do love that they don't do the ridiculous flashing their number for the camera bit. It is so annoying.

Lacey... gosh, she grates on my nerves. I don't even want to like her. But when she dances, she sparkles and I love watching her. She's fabulous. And, yeah, total stealth body. She did not look that toned fully clothed!
