Great recap! I was floored by Chelsea not making the final...just goes to show that you can screw with demographics...

So here's the deal with the mambo...the main difference between mambo and salsa is that in mambo, you step forward with your left on count two of the music. Ballroom dancers get very persnickety about this little detail and it was obvious that Tony and Melanie were dissing previous choreographers who put together mambo routines that weren't danced "on the two."

Most of the mambos in the past have been done by Alex Da Silva who many of my friends who are in the salsa scene say gets gigs based on his image not his talent. It is a little suspect that every time he's on he has like 3 assistants with him.

Anyways enough of the dance industry trash talking. Can't wait to read the next recap!

I am SO sad that Marksie left. They were my fave couple. But at least they got to dance together one last time in the group number. And they went out together with a sweet little embrace. On 3, everybody said "Aww..."

And also OMG! YOU RAN INTO MARK! I LOVE THAT GUY!

I loved his solos this week too - thought they've been getting better and better. But I wish he would have pulled out stuff like what he's got posted on YouTube. It's brilliant.

I am way more disappointed with the final 4 than I thought I would be. Twitch did WAY worse than Mark on Wednesday and has overall had more bad routines and is less versatile. I mean, from Danny and Neil to Joshua and TWITCH? I love Joshua, but Twitch? Robbed, just robbed.

I have never liked Katee and I am annoyed that Courtney got Chelsie's spot.

So, all my votes are going to Joshua.

I think it's Joshua or Katee for the win. I don't think an original couple has ever made the finals before, true or false? I really liked everyone this season, but failed to LOVE anyone this season, so for that I really don't care who wins.

Was it gay bar where you ran into Mark? My friends for real will not believe me that he's TOTALLY gay, so I need some solid proof.

Benji and Donyelle both made it to the final 4.

I think it's gonna have to come down to either Joshua or Katee. Who knew the audience would keep her around for so long after the judges tried to make America hate her at the end of Vegas week?

I'm kind of shocked that Courtney made it to the top 4, I didn't think she would have that big of a fan base. I can't imagine who is voting for her that liked her so much more than they like Chelsie....

georgiababe - Mark was my fav too. For me, I'd be happy with Katee or Joshua. Prob Joshua though. And Mark should have DEFINITELY been in the final four over Twitch. Twitch has great presence and personality - but Mark's a much better all-around dancer.

leenieva - It's a big LA bar where I've seen boy banders, reality stars, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Baldwin, several other "dance" kids and choreographers (including MIA - GASP!). So it's a very mixed bag! The only thing they all have in common is that after a few cocktails I've run up and said "I just love you!" even if I've got no clue who they are. (My friends like to egg me on.) Looks like you'll have to wait for his tell-all book after the show. :) Either way - he was quite good looking in person AND looked buffer than on TV. Hot cha cha!

RockStar: I agree about Katee. It's almost like the producers knew to demonize her at the beginning so that they could turn back and make a big stink about how amazing it is that she's come so far! And I think Courtney's easier to like than Chelsie - hence Chelsie getting the boot first. It's all about personality from here on out!

I do so admire the skills of all these dancers.

If it were up to clumsy, ignorant me, I'd probably pick Joshua to win, but any of the four could take it, with Courtney slightly less likely.

Based only on Wednesday's performances, I thought Twitch should have gone home rather than Mark.

I went to the SYTYCD Fox homepage to figure out who sang one of the songs that I loved from the show and I found these (unintentionally) hilarious recaps. They are just ridiculous, especially at the beginning when they describe Cat's outfits. You guys have to check them out for a laugh! Of course tvgasm totally trumps them, but I thought I'd let you know. bBitz, I think you'd LOVE the descriptions of Cat!

Well, if we're going to comment on Twitch taking Mark's spot, then I have to say that they both took Will's spot...he should've been there 100%. But I absolutely loved all the guys in the top 10 so I hated seeing any of them go. I was strangely happy to see Chelsie leave...didn't want yet another person in the Schwimmer universe making the final and her personality annoyed me to no end...but I do give her props for being a great dancer though. Go Joshua! It's time for a hip hopper to win!

I don't think Mark is gay. When I heard him speak I though "Oh, gay voice!" but I've since taken that back. I think it's his accent and the fact that he's rather reserved and soft-spoken.

I also think he's just quirky and that's how he is.

Not that it matters, just thought I would tell you that your friends aren't alone.

hahaha I KNEW you'd include that still of Mark's sneaky face that makes it look like he's um, getting the best of Courtney... When I watched the show I was like, "oh, that is so gonna be in the tvgasm column!" hilarious. they couldn't have written it any better if they did that on purpose.
