Congratulations to Billy Donovan and the
Florida Gators for winning their first NCAA basketball championship over UCLA
73-57. As a person who went crazy during Syracuse's first championship three years ago, I can tell you that the feeling is amazing for all of the people who have rooted for their team for so many years, getting close but never getting over the top. And as everybody else will tell you, the trash talk never stops. I thought this was an amazing tournament with lots of great upsets and lots of fun basketball to watch. Perhaps the most amazing thing was that Florida, who have always entered the tournament with lots of hype and talent only to be one of the upsets you can count on in the early rounds, finally lived up to that hype and talent with a very good team effort.
The winner of the TVgasm Tournament Challenge was E. Widtfeldt's team NickelBagofFunk, who squeaked out a win by only ten points over M. West's team Where's Andrae? For those of you who didn't follow the standings, there was all sorts of movement up and down as the upsets kept on coming. The winner's bracket is after the jump and take this time to get your last bit of trash talking in before baseball season starts!
What's that? Oh, baseball has already started? Go Yankees!

Thanks TVGasm for the props about winning the bracket.
Better lucky then good I suppose!
Love the site

Wait, I thought the SEC was a weak conference. I thought the ACC and Big East were going to dominate. HA!

I think that Florida played well. However, I got so tired of watching Noah play. I thought I was watching his highlight reel. His 1980's ponytail on the side irks me.

Mance.
No, I grew up in Upstate NY, so I grew up loving the Orangemen (blast that new nickname). I went to college elsewhere.

Did anyone else see Noah blow kisses to the Florida cheerleaders when he was throwing the ball in during the 2nd half. What a raging Donch

Mance-
I was in the dome when 'cuse went all the way too. (and of course on Marshall Street later on climbing trees and dancing around fires)
The best part about being a student that year was all of us rushing the field after we won. Which made so much sense since there was nothing on the field except the reject cheerleaders and a huge projection screen.
Ahh to be a drunken junior again. Those were the days....

Growing up in Tennessee and graduating from UT (TN not TX, y'all) automatically means that I abhore the Florida Gators. However, gotta give much love. It was a wonderful tourney and I'm still freaking out about the outcome. Sure sugar didn't see that one coming! Congrats Gator fans
