SHINEY STATUE PRETTY!!! - TVgasm

What?! Best actress? You mean she's not really a screaming retard from New Jersey??

Hallmark Hall of Fame ran a full page "For Your Emmy Consideration" ad in today’s Variety for Rosie O'Donnell as Best Actress in a Made-for-TV Movie. The ad pulls one of Rosie's more retarded-looking moments from the film as she looks upwards, mouth agape and jaw slightly askew as to allow any excess salivant to trickle gingerly aloft her chin(s), whilst hoisting her arms skywards, paws up, and sausaged filanges bent and gnarled in classic mocking the retarded fashion. The image is so magical, you can almost hear the retard roar of "GNNNYAAAHHHH" bellowing out of her Stay-Puff'd face.

As we did a year ago with Big Brother 5 and as VoteForTheWorste did this year, I urge all TV Academy voters to at the very least nominate Rosie for this Emmy. Does she deserve it? No, of course not. But, I for one would be happier than Jessica Alba's panties to see Rosie give her acceptance speech and get serious about mental health. As usual, I ask if you don't do it for me, do it for these guys.

Thanks to TVGasm reader Pryze for alerting us to the ad.

CBS will undoubtedly send out their own voting screeners, but we at tvgasm will always have our own Emmy Screener.

Rosie's stance is vaguely reminiscent of Willem Dafoe's famous image on the Platoon poster. Does this means she's getting shot in the back?

To me it looks like the Bishop from Caddyshack after he missed the final putt. "Ohhh, Rat farts!!!!"

Shit, between Dr. Xena and Rosie, CBS really isn't going to know which movie to promote.

Does anyone have this film? I need a copy very badly. chris@rockboxfilms.com

I want to know who at TV Guide called her performance lovable, honest, stong, etc. I remember one review in TV Guide that was anything but complimentary, but there must have been another, much nicer review. The USA Today critic must have been on crack to think that her performance wasn't trying to call attention to itself and wasn't cloying, and the NY Times calling it a clear "Emmy bid" doesn't mean that's a compliment.

The whole world must be going 'tard-tastic' because seriously, from what I've seen, all she did in that movie was scream with a lot of Pee Wee Herman-esque gusto.

The NY Times said those things and then went on to say that it fails on all counts. I wonder what creative edits went on with the other quotes.

Hey Rosie, we don't like you. We really, really don't like you.

Rosie O'Donnell acting like she's a brain-damaged person who has no taste and won't shut up.

Wait...ACTING? That's an act??

She would eat the critical raves that dangle so temptingly overhead, but she can't...reach...

Figures that Fox would call for Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for everyone's favorite poetic blogger.

PS (Phalanges, not filanges.)

The puppies have spoken.

Because of Miss O'Donnell's role in "riding the bus with my sister" I can't take the character she plays on showtimes QAF seriously. Everytime I look at her I think about the role in riding the bus with my sister and giggle.

I know making fun of someone playing a mentally challenged person might be a lil "taboo," or mean so I sorry:( caint heppit.
