Before ringing the bell, Host Chris Harrison treats us to a video profile of each remaining B'ette. Nothing exciting or even interesting is revealed, although we do get some nice embarrassing footage of the two women. The Virgin has always been a goodhearted girl with strong morals and an apparent JonBenet fascination. Jen, on the other hand, has always been totally forgettable. Seriously, can you believe she's made it this far? Wait, who were we talking about again?
Battle B'ettes.
PBo knows tonight's decision will be a hard one, so he's glad his parents are in town, as families are there to help you, guide you, and answer questions for you. And, on occasion, to embarrass you on national television. On the limo ride over, his mom keeps yapping on about how happy she is that PLo has gone through this experience. He's had a taste of his family, a taste of his history, and soon a taste of the sweet tears of rejection. LZo values his parents' opinion, as they've been married for 40 years and know what it takes to make a relationship work: separate bathrooms, rubber sheets and an unlimited supply of EVOO.
His dad wants to know where, if at all, they can help him with the last two girls. I'm not sure, but did his dad just offer to put out a hit on someone? His mom also has a surprise for LBo: he's not really a prince. In fact, he's not really a Borghese. He's really a wizard whose uncle has been wrongfully imprisoned in Azkaban. Actually, she's designed a ring for him to present to the ho-peful of his choice. She says it can be a new family ring that can start now and go through his family for centuries from here on in. He loves it, and he's sure the girl he chooses will love it too. Or else he'll take his father up on that thing they were talking about.
Jen admits she's a little nervous to meet LBo's parents. It's pretty overwhelming meeting a real prince and princess. Especially since she's already sampled the royal testes. While PBo's family is dressed for dinner casual, Jen is dressed in jeans. Later, when her dad shows up, we'll see where she gets her sense of style. LZo's mom says that she had no preconceived ideas about Jen, but as soon as she saw her, she thought "she's so pretty. And she has beautiful eyes and she just radiates goodness. A special soul comes right out when you look at her." Wow, I don't know how The Virgin is going to top that. Oh yeah, she's a virgin.
Over dinner, LBo's dad asks Jen who is she, and why is she there. No, he's not going senile; he's just forgotten who she is already. Once he's been reminded, he asks why she likes his son. When she pictures her future husband, she can see Lorenzo. He has all the qualities she wants in a husband and the father of her kids. Namely, he's stinking rich. She knows there's going to be some bad stuff sooner or later, as she has a lot of bad in her that he hasn't seen yet. But it's nothing that can't be controlled with a little Valtrex and a lot of Vaseline.
The Rebirth of italian Intimidation.
PBo's mom asks him why he's chosen Jen. She's strong, independent, a risk taker who likes to have fun, who's not afraid of the occasional trip to the free clinic, and has all the qualities he's looking for in a wife. Even better, they share the same meds. Next, she asks Jen how she's different from The Virgin. Aside from the whole virginity thing, of course. Jen thinks she's tougher and more upfront than Sadie, who's a little more nurturing. Plus, she knows how to please her man.
Jen turns the tables and asks the parents what they're looking for in a daughter-in-law. Dad says someone who makes Lorenzo happy, who has ambition, wants to travel, wants to learn, and wants to be his partner for life. In the cartage business.

Hmm. I think he picked the right girl. I don't think the V had a chance in the big scheme. I was a little shocked at the outcome of that ring ceremony(not that good looking of a ring).
Did anyone notice the nice Godfatherish music playing in the background?
As for next season, apparently the B is the best friend of the brother of a friend of mine and she said that he had a few websites about himself that have since been taken down because of this lovely show. Things that make you go...hmm. I can't wait for the officer/gentleman version.
Who thinks the V should be the next B'ette?

I did notice the Godfather music!
I get the idea that all Jen is really looking for is a way to move to New York City.
That ring was not that great. But Lorenzo's mom comes off as a bit of an airhead anyway. I would not be that thrilled if my potential mother-in-law offered to read my palm.
And the new Bachelor looks like as much of a goon as all of them have been. He'll probably be as bad as that football player they had a couple seasons ago.
As far as bachelorettes go, I think the best candidate from this season would definitely be Jami.

Copygodd, I was hoping for a close up of the ring. I only saw the last 20 minutes and it did NOT look fit for a princess.

Haven't watched much of the season but lurrrrv the recaps. So much more efficient.
Victoria, trust me, if all my mother in law ever did was offer to read my palm and be otherwise flaky I'd be One Happy Girl.

References I loved:
EVOO...Ray Ray
Colon-Blow...SNL
Bob Ross...Joy Of Painting
the van down by the river...Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker
preciousssss...Gollum.
DE-NIED!...NPH/Barney
The Ring was not what I would call "Crown Jewels".
Mommy-of-Prince had to put on glasses to read palms...wtf? Are there teeny tiny letters that say "Head rules Heart"?
So glad Larry the Wuss picked the other blond. Don't you worry Sadie - there is a man out there with your name on his dick!
Another great recap cg. Not your best, mind you, but great. And a damn fine season of cg recaps it was ~

I still think the one he was most attracted to was Agnese, he just let what he perceived to be as a major barrier affect his decision. She was definitely learning more English, and could have conversed quite nicely with his dad, and Lorenzo certainly could have learned more Italian. His reasoning at the WTA show that he would have felt bad about taking her so far away from her family was BS; like Agnese said, that should have been her decision to make, not his.

Sadie definitely dodged a bullet there! As much as I loved her and thought she was the best catch, I didn't want her to end up with that douchebag Lorenzo. She was so classy during his little dumping speech and he was the biggest pussy ever. I am sure she will find a great guy, she is still very young and as long as she doesn't start going out with Britney and Paris and flashing her (intact) cooter, she is going to end up with someone WAY better than Lorenzo.

Oh yes - I thought the ring sucked. It probably does fit on his cock!
Thanks for all the great recaps, Copygodd! I think I'm facing a withdrawal about as difficult as what House is going through right now!

copygodd, you da man. And I think Mrs. copygodd knows she has it good. Reaaal good. She's got a man who writes damn well, clearly thinks she's a queen (or at least a helluva lot more impressive than his own silly self), and HE'S NOT PZO! Score!
I hardly watched the season at all, but loved the recaps. I, too, would vote for Sadie to be the next Bachelorette. Virgin this...virgin that... It would be great tv to watch guys get to know her just enough to learn what they have to look forward to, and then excuse themselves from the competition. "See ya later, cooter keeper."

The ring just looked like a bunch of diamonds. I personally would prefer less rock and a more decorative band, but then I never got an engagement ring (or in this case, a non-engagement ring) and didn't care. I'd rather have the cash to spend on something fun than have to wear it on my finger.
FYI, LoBo's father's toast before brunch said "A toast to the parents who came from so far away, and to my son who will have some big problems in making a choice." I knew that Italian would come in handy some day!
I hope LoBo at least gave/sent Sadie's little souvenir book back to her so she can look back on the memories in a few years and laugh.

thanks for a great season of recaps cgodd! As for the ring- I liked it! I'd take it! just not from that douchenozzle LBo. Thanks for noticing the casual dress from Jen's side of the family too. For all that talk of royalty and castles, you think they'd know to dress up a little! I liked LBo's mom. I thought she looked like Barbara Walters. His dad was too cute too! the Princely tears flowing over his Roman nose were a hoot! Cry me a river!

I thought it was odd that LBo's mom started talking about how she knew that LBo wanted a family ring to give to his fiancee, then tells him that she designed a ring so he can have that become the new family ring. Think she knows how permanent this relationship will be?
I think I threw up a little watching the kissing montage at the end. My husband, who always wanders in and asks why I'm watching this show, comes in at this point and starts making fun of him. I welcomed him to the club.
The ring was ugly. I think Sadie would do better as a B'ette than as the pseudofiancee.
Wonder how the previous Batchelors feel about this new guy being called the hottest ever?

I was so glad to see you had a picture of the Prince weeping. Everytime they showed that clip, I laughed out loud. I loved it how he turned his head, so we could all see the protruding lower lip and that big tear as it slid down his cheek. Boohoo!!!

Thanks copygodd for finding a place for that picture. I laughed out loud when I saw it (as I always do).
..."but listening to Reid with my eyes closed reminds me a lot of watching Bob Ross paint. Except he doesn't talk about happy squirrels."
I loved that reference. Personally I remember "happy trees" and being mesmerized by Bob's hair.
Didn't watch any of the episodes but loved every minute of the recaps. Hated the ring, hated the prince and all those who WEREN'T chosen were the lucky B'ettes. Thanks for everything, copygodd. Now go do something nice for mrs copygodd (and get your mind out of the gutter 'cause that's not what I meant).

I must admit that I was surprised by Cousin Larry's choice. Neither of these two really seemed to have forever potential with him - they are too young, and he is too much of a dork (think Andrew Firestone). Jen is boring, but will likely move on and bore someone else before she settles down. Does anyone know if Larry and Jen are still together?
The ring was heinous - totally white trash - and I love how The Momma wants to start the ring as a family heirloom with ABC's money.
Yes, PBo cried at the end "like tools do" - great reference copygodd.
Overall, bad season, but that's what happens when they choose a tool, who pretends that some long ago family title of prince actually means something.
The guy from the next season is pretty (think Travis), but was so cocky that he made me want to puke in just the preview.

It's so classy when you repeatedly refer to yourself as classy. WTG, Sadie. Oh, and did you guys know that Sadie was a virgin? I think she mentioned it once in passing. ;-)
The pick of LBo crying his big, fat "boo-hoo" tear makes me laugh out loud EVERY TIME!
Loved the Bob Ross reference! Bravo, copygodd, that was spot on.
I'm sure the next Bachelor will be a tool (aren't they all?), but at least he's good looking. That may be a first; I think they've all been pretty homely in the past.
And no way in hell do I want Sadie as the next Bachelorette! I've had quite enough of her!

There is something about the way Jen talks that really got on my nerves. I think she has too many teeth in her mouth or something like that. Anyone else notice?

Did Sadie have her boobs done during the show? She looked a lot smaller before. Just look at the last recap with the fantasy dates.

I didn't watch this season, but when I came across this, I just had to read the recap:
"Which ho-peful will win the leaky eyes and sloppy tongue of The Bachelor? And which will go home with a very sad cooter? "
