Actually, I have my money on him wearing a pair of those eyes-open fake glasses.

Meanwhile, Heidi asks Spencer to go find Holly, who's left the table in a huff. Shouldn't SHE go find her, seeing as they've been sisters, like, her whole life and everything? Spencer finds Holly and Darlene and tries very unsuccessfully to assuage Holly's guilt by saying with a slightly biting tone that Heidi was just "caught off-guard that you were throwing food at a rehearsal dinner." He seems like he's trying really, really hard to say the right thing, but no amount of therapy can teach a man class. "We're 25 now, and even I don't throw food at the table, and I don't even have good manners." Probably not the thing to say to a drunk maid of honor who hates you. Just sayin'.

Holly tries not to cry as Darlene repeats, "It was NOT RUDE," about fifteen times with different intonations each time. Is she studying the Meisner technique or something? Spencer is now ready to exit this scene, as he smiles through firmly gritted teeth and practically runs away from the storm a-brewin' in the Montag XX gene pool. He even sings a little as he scurries away, just to show how totally uncomfortable he is and how one more moment with them may force him to turn into the Incredible Unmarryable Man.

Fleeing your rage is ALWAYS the right choice.

Holly breaks into full sobs, railing against the gall Spencer must have to call her rude, and hiccups to her mom that she is the last person who should defend Spencer. "I didn't know we were dining with the king and queen," she weeps. "Well, for tonight, we are," Darlene replies in a most unhelpful manner.

053109_31weepothenight.png

Sorry, y'all, but this is the apex of the drama for this evening.

The next day, as they bond over manicures, Holly begs forgiveness of Princess Heidi, who doesn't accept her apology but instead agrees that what Holly did was wrong, saying, "You made it not about ME at my rehearsal dinner. This is the biggest moment of my LIFE." Well, the moment you stand up on that altar and hand your soul to Satan will be the biggest moment of your life, but we're days from that. You don't get a whole week. In fact, it's probably better to get the hissy fits out of the way now instead of at the wedding when someone could actually have the sense to object.

Holly tells Heidi that she wouldn't be offended if she'd rather let Stephanie be her goddamn maid of honor. "She's a lot more used to this kind of etiquette." Oh, sure, the shoplifter with a drug habit is très refined. But Heidi tells her she's her sister and she loves her blah blah gag me gag me "and I would never un-maid of honor you." Is that even English?

053109_32bucklingego.png

"Please. I beg of you. I am buckling under the weight of your ego."

The bitches hug it out and Heidi asks Holly if she "gave that invitation to that person I told you to?" Hmmm who could this be? I think we're supposed to think it's LC but given the fact that we've all seen the wedding coverage and the previews for next season, we all know it's actually KC, as in Kristen Cavallari, whom we also know will wear a blue dress and catch the bouquet. Sorry. Does that count as a spoiler?

At his tuxedo fitting, Spencer is telling his hired groomsmen that the look he's going for is "white Jay-Z."

053109_33notaprick.png

"That may present a problem, as Jay-Z is not a total prick."

While Spencie is changing, Charlie calls out to him that he's bringing Stacie as his date. Ha ha ha, wouldn't that just be wretched! He smiles and says not to worry, they'll just cover her face with "one of those veils with the little black dots on them." He asks for an estimated running time for this ordeal, and Spencer says that he's told the preacher to make it as short as possible, leaving out the objection part if he could. Is he trying to pull a Prince Humperdink?! The preacher told him no one would ever object, but he obviously has no idea how wrong this blessed union is.

"You look good."
"Yeah, you look like a swan princess."

At the final shindig at the LauLo Chateau, suddenly Jayde and Blahdrina are totally fine with each other, Frankie proposes shots of champagne for the toast to the girls, and Lauren continues to lose herself in her Country Jo look with yet another man-fitted plaid shirt.

When will the madness end?? Also, what the hell is Jen Bunney doing here?

You had me at "Swiffer Ballroom Blitz."

LNNC92:

You will be missed OSnapp! I have enjoyed your recaps, but hope you are on to bigger & better things!

Yanksfan24:

Good for Lauren...go live your life, girl!

Heidi and Spencer are ridiculous. I wish I had a snarkier comment but I'll leave that up to the recappers. And yes, I will be watching next season (sigh)

O.Snapp, thanks so much for the laughs...good luck to you.

kmh5125:

thanks o. snapp, for recapping this every week so i didn't have to watch it.

i was always on team kristin. i like that she realizes she's only on the show to bring drama and doesn't want to make friends. is it bad that i somehow think she's above all this petty nonsense that happens on this show?

maybeimamazed02:

We'll miss you, O. Snapp!

kmh5125, you are not the only one on Team Kristin. I always liked Lauren, but Kristin's snarkiness rocks. And she will definitely bring the drama. I'm not ashamed to say that I'll still be watching because of Kristin.

kissmymanolos:

Nooo Osnapp, you cannot leave.:( More seasons are coming!

jozeyg:

I love lauren too....but next season looks awesome! Kristin knows how to bring the drama. I love how she said in the previews..'you're messing with the wrong girl!' Oh please someone mess with her......i would looove to see what she would do to them. watch your backs audrina and jayde.

welcome back kristen cavallari. =)

flodence:

Thanks for a Great season O snapp. I dont even bother to watch the show anymore (we are way behind)- I just read the recaps. Good luck.

AnneM:

Was I the only one who heard the scary music from The Omen when Heidi was marching down the aisle toward her vile excuse for a human being Spencer?

I thought it was appropriate. Must just be in the soundtrack of my mind.

Great recap.

thatswhatshesaid:

OH NO! You're leaving us O.Snapp?! I was HOPING you meant you were only leaving us for the season, but would be back next season. :( I will truly miss your recaps! Next season is going to be AWESOME too! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. You are very talented and I thoroughly enjoyed reading your recaps. Take care!

oranges:

I loved your recaps this season O.Snapp. Please reconsider coming back for the next one!

oranges:

And O.Snapp even rhymes w/ recap. Come on!

georgiababe:

I have to echo the sentiments of my fellow posters and say thanks for the excellent recaps! I don't plan to watch next season (I cannot stand Kristen Cavallari) but I will probably read the recaps and I will miss you!

Also, am I the only one who thought that Spencer was in the right at the rehearsal dinner? I mean, I love Holly, but I also would have been furious if my sister was throwing food at my rehearsal dinner and making a drunken, rather embarassing speech.

KrispyDixie:

You will be missed O. Snapp! this was hands down the BEST RECAP of the year! I could not stop laughing the whole way through (awkward for the people in my office, but whatevs!)

Thanks and much love!

First of all, I was seriously dying of laughter at the Charlie sleeping with his eyes open comments. Hilarious! I was surprised at myself while watching this episode. First of all, I thought Charlie's comment about apologizing to LC was pretty mature coming from one of Spencer's friends. I am embarrassed to admit I teared up at Stephanies speech! I also teared up when LC came into the bridal room. I am also shocked to say that I sort of believe Spencer might really want to settle down..at least he FINALLY admitted to the sex tape rumors, he's been denying that for a few seasons now. I think that's a big step. I know I teared up when LC came into the bridal room, but I would have been proud of her if she didn't go to the wedding. Spencer publicly humiliated her! She was right that heidi only wanted her there to validate heidi's decision...at least she didn't go to the reception, how come we didn't get to see the reception?
Also, why did Lauren and Lo move out? Didn't Lauren own the house?
