2012 Top TV Reality Moments

Watercooler

BUT, the best part about Project Runway is coming here to TVgasm after the show is over and seeing Flipit’s V-Blog waiting for us! That man is amazing at getting them up so fast and they are so fucking hysterical. I’ve heard rumors that some of the designers from this season’s PR All-Stars are tracking him on Twitter and LOVE his V-Blogs! Don’t tell him though. It’ll go to his head.

“Whatchu talkin’ bout Willis?”

RuPaul’s Drag Race makes Project Runway look like kindergarten. The girls at RuPaul’s not only have to design an outfit for the runway, but also a themed look for a photo shoot, as well as one for a challenge. They do their own make-up and hair and at the end of the show, look absolutely fabulous! This year I was a little disappointed. Ru decided to have her first “All-Stars” season, but we were robbed (IMO) of a full season. The girls were put into teams and competed together. If one sashayed away, they both did! There were only 6 episodes in all, which was a HUGE let-down for “ALL-STARS”. I did like seeing Kelly Osbourne and two other celebrity daughters join the girls and learn what it takes to become true drag queens.

Kelly: “I’ve been preparing for this day my whole life!”

I’ve got one more show to talk about and it’s So You Think You Can Dance. I love this show the MOST during auditions. I love watching them more than the show itself. Once they pick the final 20, I lose all interest and usually don’t watch it again until they are down to the final 4. There are so many great dancers out there, I just don’t know how they can cut it down to just 20.

Highlight #1: This mom and little girl’s audition. Priceless!

In the end, it was the popper and the ballet dancer for the title of #1 Male Dancer. Two such diversely different dance backgrounds and this performance was amazing in every way. Plus they were both half naked!

That’s it kids. I’ve covered most of the competition reality shows on TV in 2012. Now let’s here from you.

love

I love that the Beekman Boys won Amazing Race. I read Josh’s book (I’m not myself these days) when he was an alcoholic drag queen named Aqua and boy has been through some dark times. I was rooting for them!

Speaking of drag queens, Drag Race had a full season last year, too. That’s when we fell in love with Sharon Needles and in hate with Phi Phi. I’m excited…the new season is starting soon!

Correction – the best DANCER did win DANCING with the STARS. The best GYMNAST can only hope ABC spawns TUMBLING with the STARS.

    Awsome article Chooch. Thanks.

I would cut back on bread, beer, wine or soda before I stopped watching and reading the recaps of Survivor, BB and AR.

btw,I stole the bread and beer line from my fav commercial :-)
