   @Madelyne27 Each 1 works different parts of the car. They each took the test. Which means they took the same test twice. And each 1′s got her own license.

   But all that happened when they turned 16. They’re like 22 now. So they’ve been driving for like 8 yrs.

   They each have their own brain LOL, but they control different sides of the body.
   And I can’t watch the premiere tonight, but I will probably catch a re-run. I remember seeing them on a special a few years back, and I love how they just insist on living normal lives no matter what.

   I’m most curious about what’s going to happen with their personal lives. I mean, how do you get married? How do you have sex? How do you have children? Can you? If you get married, is the guy married to both twins? Does he have sex with both, are they both the mother of the child?

   Seriously, I want to know.

   Oh I know, I don’t think that I would want to answer those questions if I were in their situation. But I feel kind of badly for them because I just don’t see how they’ll be able to get married and have babies like other people do.

    georgia babe, if Lori & Dori Schappell can have boyfriends & “normal love lives”, then why can’t abby & britbrit?

    I really hate lori & dori though, they’re annoying as fuck & they’re fame whores. I can’t fathom what sort of man would want to go out with one of them – not because they’re conjoined, but because their personalities are awful! I’m rooting way more for a & b to find guys (a guy?). they’re pretty awesome all-around.

    I wonder *IF* they can become pregnant. I mean they may have a wonky uterus or something because of being conjoined. Do they get a regular period? There are all sorts of things you wonder about. Do they ever get pissed off at the other and wish they could get away from them? If one gets a cold does the other catch it too?

    I’ll have to try a catch a repeat. They seem like nice girls.

    @mirabelle gingerbread Lori and George (he turned out to be transgender) don’t have the same situation. Abby and Brittany have just 1 set of reproduction organs. About all that’s ever been said is that it’s normal. And they’ve said they want to get married and have babies 1 day.

    What they won’t talk about is anything else beyond that. Like they’ll talk about sensation in the rest of their bodies. And that they’ve got a place on their back where it’s shared. But they won’t say about their va jay jay. Or if they’ll want to marry just 1 person or 2. Which to be fair they might not know.

    But some stuff you can figure out. Like they couldn’t both have babies at the same time. They’d have to take turns. Unless maybe it was twins LOL.

    @NotwithoutmyTV I absolutely agree with you. All their friends kept saying how amazing it was and how much they loved it, but that would drive me bonkers being around them. I’m interested to see how they student teach together (if I can tolerate watching). Also, kind of a rip off that the college charges them 1.5x tuition…it’s not like they’ll be able to get more than 1 person’s salary when they graduate. I didn’t see much of their prior specials, but I don’t understand how they take exams or do their schoolwork.

    seriously. these chicks had all these friends who were sooooooo nice and love them sooooo much. I broke my nose in high school and WAS tortured because it was big…. these girls have 2 FUCKING HEADS!!!!! 2 HEADS!!!!!!
    plus they want to teach elementary school. I can ONLY imagine meet the teacher night! now that I would love to see.

    Re drivers licenses, they had a prior tv special that covered this. They each got their own license.

    I feel icky reading the speculation on their sex life. They and their parents have handled public curiosity so well, giving us some info (like these specials) yet maintaining a normal, healthy private life, that I want to respect their boundaries by not even snarking about it.

    And this is surprising from me – I love snark and happily post away about the sex life of Melissa (Dance Moms) !

    I had no idea they were so close to me! Can’t believe I haven’t ever seen them around. I wasn’t going to watch the show cause my daughter gets freaked out by this sort of thing (even just regular twins), but I decided to torture her (she’s 20, she can deal).

    It is a little freaky to watch them and hear them talk in unison, and of course I can’t help but wonder about all the things others here are. But, man, I also do have to say I really admire their desire to just be normal no matter what. They handle it a lot better than I would’ve, that’s for sure.

    It seems though that they want to be able to exploit themselves enough to get paid, but think that just because they parade themselves around you don’t have a right to look or question.

    I highly recommend Lori Lansens’ “The Girls” for any readers out there. It’s a fictional story about conjoined twins, but I think the author did quite a bit of research. It is very well-written. The fictional Darlens situation is different–two separate bodies joined at the head but you still have two people who are sharing space all the time.

    I am so torn about this show. Obviously, I find these girls fascinating and have tons of questions, because I really don’t think any human being could hear about twins conjoined on that level living the kinds of lives that they live and not just have one question after another. But at the same time, how they live their lives is absolutely none of my business. For some reason, reality shows about people with such blatant physical differences are far more offensive to me than shows about “normal” people like HBB and the Jersey Shore hooligans.

    I know it’s a delicate situation but it’s only normal to wonder how they’ll handle stuff like sex. I don’t know what their religious beliefs are. If they both get married and want to be intimate with their respective mate how will they handle that since there’s only 1 cooch? Whatever.

    so since everyone’s talking about them having sex, am I the only one here that saw that fake blowjob photo of them circulating a few years ago? it was supposedly them at a frat party & it actually looked real! but the folks at 4chan declared it a fake. I’m too lazy to look for it now but I might later.

    snowshoecat, it’s a date! I’d love to know more whereabouts they live to – they went to Bethel University so maybe around there? – not to sound like a weird stalker, just to talk to them a bit & tell them how wonderful they are.

    so I watched the episodes & they are adorable & funny as I predicted but frankly I got so sick of all of their friends insisting how “normal” they are! I swear they said the word “normal” about 5 million times. okay, we get it, they live a relatively normal life, shut up about it & let them live it (with cameras running & two heads it has to be way different from normal but whatever). it also really seemed like their friends, etc. were pandering to the cameras, like talking to it instead of the girls during their puppy chow party. that was really annoying; it seems like they can’t decide whether they want it to be a “reality show” or a documentary series. the two are different & it’s jarring to have them flip the format so often during the show. I hope their friends get more used to it because the girls didn’t seem to have a problem ignoring the cameras unless they were supposed to be directly talking to it like in the interviews.

    it also wasn’t very illuminating, all I got from it is that they’re NORMAL! so I also hope they delve deeper further into the series & touch more on how unique they are. I don’t understand why they’re downplaying that; can’t they be super special without being freaks?

    okay so now my mind is going back to sex & I have to say, what fascinates me is how do they masturbate? lol! each one controls one hand, so if one is in the mood & the other uses her hand, is that like incest? selfcest? twincest is bestcest?

    @ssc You betcha! We have to have a marathon of T&T too, of course. Have you been to our “Great Minnesota Get-Together” yet? We went on the first day, as is our tradition. I can usually stomp all over those fairgrounds all day long, but I kind of crapped out this year. My age is catching up with me, I feel (insert Snookie voice here).

    It is a strange show, for sure. It’s only natural to be curious about certain things in their lives, but then you do feel a little icky for thinking about them. The one thing that always strikes me the most with them is how uncomfortable it must be. Especially the twin whose head is more tilted. How do you get comfortable when sleeping? How must it be to never be alone, no privacy at all? What if they get mad at each other? I have to give them huge props for making the best out of the situation. They really do seem like happy people.

    @itchy I don’t think they’re Mormon. I just googled them and found out they’re from a rural farming area (New Germany, MN) and attended a Lutheran High School. Bethel College is evangelical Christian. At any rate, it’s a very religious school. You can tell by the party they had for two 22-year-olds, that their idea of “party” is a little different than most college kids.

    Ah, okay, I’d read somewhere they were Mormon, but that might have been a joke. Since it’s certainly quite trendy to be Mormon this year.

    As for the propriety of wondering about their sexual proclivities, I do this with pretty much every (reasonably attractive) woman I see, so I don’t see why I should treat these two any differently, seeing how NORMAL they are. I just like to be fair, that’s all.

    I’ve seen the blowjob photo and it’s a damn good photoshop, if it is one. I can certainly imagine there’s a long line of guys out there who’d like to taste THAT freakshow.
