ABC Screwed Adam Lambert Out Of Two Shows

ABC has dropped Adam Lambert once again! He got dropped from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

I don’t buy the FCC thing. This whole situation is unbelievable to me–you know how many other singers have done “racy” things on live TV, and they NEVER got in trouble for it? Pink, Madonna, Britney, Janet Jackson, Eminem/Borat, and the list goes on!

ABC gets a big fat negative mark from me. Not cool.

    This is just getting moronic. Talk about discrimination! It’s all bullshit. Advertising dollars are the motivating factor, not the FCC.

    I call bullshit as well. I’ve been more offended by some “scripted” primetime television on ABC than by Adam’s performance. He may have gotten a bit carried away, but nothing so horrible that he should be 86′d from an entire network. ABC, you ain’t all that!

    Adam would have put the rock in ABC’s Rockin’ New Year! A great loss for us all.

    Naw, it’s the recession.

    All that pancake makeup would have put them way over budget.

    Not to mention the potential lawsuits for hearing damage from all that shrieking he does.

    Really, the safest bet will be to allow him to fade into obscurity where he belongs.

    Lambert is thrilled. He’s getting far more attention and press for being dropped than he ever would have for those appearances. And that was his intent when he pulled his stupid stunt.

    It’s all about self-promotion.

    This whole thing does suck…but cattyfan’s right–he’s getting a TON of PR out of this–which is good for him.

    Look at Taylor Swift-Kanye dissing her was the best thing that happened to her–she’s on top of the world now.

    I hope Adam takes all of this negative press, and makes a positive out of it—then I hope he makes it SUPER huge, and then gives a middle finger to ABC when they ask him back.

    Success is the best revenge.

    whatevs — was Glambert’s performance really all that outrageous or offensive?

    On American Idol, Flo Rida swaggered around the stage singing “You spin my head right ’round, baby, right ’round when you go down, when you go down, down”

    and just in case you didn’t get the not-so subtle ref to fellatio, they had bootylicious babes squatting and gyrating right in front of the guy’s junk.

    And no one said a word!

    Teenager Miley sang her hit tune while gyrating around a stipper pole, for crying out loud. And her parents applauded approvingly!!

    it’s all pretty fucked up.

    not to mention that Janet Jackson grabbed a dancer’s junk, then shoved his face into her vag ON THE EXACT SAME FUCKING SHOW, and no one’s said a peep about that. It makes me so freaking mad that there’s such a double standard– but everyone is right that the PR Lambert’s getting from this is worth much more than the appearances. Good for him.

    When “The MAN” starts beating ADAM down it just makes him more of a cause celebre and a bigger STAR!

    Now, if he can just get his record sales to match Susan Boyle’s.
