After this week’s insanity filled Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, rumors are flying about just who Adrienne Maloof is suing. Is she coming down on Brandi for revealing a (bleeped out) HUGE secret? Is she gonna gut Bravo to dare to almost air it unbleeped? Is she gonna sue whatever surgeon turned her into the baby boomer generation’s version of Mama Elsa? NO ONE KNOWS!
What anyone with the internet does know is that Adrienne has a vicious team of lawyers and enough money to pounce on anyone who pisses her off. One sign of power is getting the motor mouthed Brandi Glanville to publicly apologize, as she did this week on her Bravo blog. “I’m sorry and I regret it….This time I’ve pissed off the wrong rich person!” Another is that Bravo actually bleeped her. They live to exploit the misery of their cast members, so they’re probably getting sued, too.
Adrienne said three or four times on the episode in question that she was gonna sue Brandi for defamation, but I don’t know how that’s gonna fly when she signed up to put your “real life” on a “reality” show. Besides, she called Brandi a drug addict and possible child abuser, so can’t she be sued? And what about the children who run screaming from the Maloof mansion every Halloween after seeing Ad’s rubber face with eyeholes poked into it? Can they be sued? LET’S ALL SUE EVERYBODY!!
Just because it hasn’t been said in a week or so, SHUT THE FUCK UP, ADRIENNE!

Yeah, I don’t think it’s defamation if it’s true. I wonder how Brandi knows all this dirt on the Maloofs? She was the first one to call out the fact that they were having marital problems. Enquiring minds wants to know, dammit!

Too bad Brandi has admitted time and time again her drug usage whether it be present (Xanax to fly) or past.

How freaking scary is that comparison of Elsa and Ad?
Agreed that it’s not defamation if it’s true. My point is that if Brandi has done Xanax (legal) on the show or other recreational drugs in the past, it’s not the same as publicly claiming someone in public fights with her ex over custody, etc, is a raging drug addict that sleeps til 3 in the afternoon. I don’t know that defamation is even the point. Ad just has more money and will bankrupt Brandi with lawsuits.

My new theory I just put in the comments for the recap is that the secret’s not about how the kids were born. But how Ad got them. That maybe it was in a way that’d be illegal if a poor person did it.
And Paul’s friends with Brandi now because he either didn’t know the whole story. Or didn’t believe it.
Jeez. Any female who went to high school, and/or spent even minimal time amongst other females has been a victim of “defamation” countless times. Women make up shit about each other, and tell each other’s secrets. It’s how women are made. Get over yourself, Ad. Brandy is awesome, so she better not be your target. I’ll come to BH and make you STFU myself, if need be. Then i’ll tell a media outlet something effed up about you, and you can try to sue me. I have no job, no money, and own nothing of value, so sue away! And btw- tossing around lawsuit threats got Failor temporarily black-listed last season, so get yourself prepared for a quieter lifestyle at home, cause the event invites will be disappearing from your mailbox in no time.
I wonder if you “out” someone for not being the biological parent of their children – and that person has purposely kept that fact from their children – (and Adrienne’s kids are young, too young to understand the whole surrogate thing) would it be illegal to publicize it because of potential harm and embarrassment to the children? The whole thing confuses me, because Brandi is just as vocal about protecting her kids and I can’t imagine what would possess someone to say something that would hurt a child. Which is another reason the Surro-Gate theory seems unlikely.
But why is that ‘Character Assaination’? I don’t get that part.
Lisa that is the problem with Brandi. What she says and what she does are polar opposites and she is not bright enough to get it.
We have no idea what was actually said. Bravo edited to make it look like she only said one bad word. Obviously that is not the case as more was said.

@Lisa A lawyer or something’ll have to come tell us for sure if it’s illegal. My guess is it’s not. Because a lot of people find stuff like that out from somebody’s big mouth every day. Including kids. A lot of times the family’s too poor for a lawyer but not always. Since it crosses all the economic groups. And you’re right it wouldn’t defame somebody’s character. So it’s probably just 1 of those things you can say. But there’s a big pile of reasons you shouldn’t.
