ALF OMG! I can’t wait!
I just peed my pants!!!!
Alf was always trying to eat the cat. That always tickled me.
And the fact that his name was Gordon Shumway.
I loved Alf. Lovedlovedloved.
In spite of that cat thing of course.
I can almost understanding loving Alf if you were five when it was being broadcast. But I was already much older than five. And I hated this show with a passion I reserve for very few things in life. This show made Three’s Company seem intelligent. The same goddamn joke over and over and over. Ugh. Stupid puppet. Double ugh!
@itchy – I was pretty young when the show came out, and loved it…but yeah, I could see how you’d hate it. Thankfully I was in the bubble and was obsessed with Alf, and other shows like Small Wonder. But, I must say Threes Company is totally my slow jam. I’d watch the re-runs and I think I’ve seen every episode–that show was sooo good. I loved it so much, I even watched the spinoffs, “The Ropers” “Three’s a Crowd,”…yeah, I didn’t get up from that TV set much.
You probably did see every Three’s Company episode. They only wrote two scripts, and kept filming them over and over again, with a few costume changes thrown in to keep people guessing.
My personal taste has always run to the high brow stuff. In other words, I was a thorough Love Boat addict. There was a time there in the early 80s when it was on four times a day. And I’d watch every single one.
@Itchy but Alf’s face alone is hilarious. And didn’t you always want him to find Rhonda (I think that was her name)
Ahhhh…”The Love Boat” Where a tall nebbish looking dude in white knee highs was the Lothario of the high seas sexing on anything that moved with no reprecussions.
I think it was Rhonda!! Hahahahah. Memories…
I’ll just leave this here…I tell ya, some people have QUITE the imagination when it comes to editing old Alf clips..

Nads – sometimes I think we were separated at birth. First with the torturous connect-a-brow childhood. Now, the love for Alf, Tiffany and all things Three’s Company! You must be my sister from another mister!
I dont remember the set up, but Alf was building Gilligans Island in the backyard, he was not using real bamboo, he used Nauga-boo. My husband and i laughed our heads off at that one.
Oh GAWD the night terrors! Not again!
Gypsy, you want night terrors, check out the 50 sec video I posted above.. *snickers*
Ha! Now that’s an Alf episode I’d like to see!
