David Archuleta was going to play a thank you concert for his Utah fans this Friday night at the E Center in Utah, but due to his Idol contract, it’s a big fat, “Sorry Charlie”.

The tickets were supposed to go on sale this week and all the proceeds were going to go to charity, but the whole charity and thank you motion went out the window yesterday when David’s agent, Roger Widynowski, said there would be no concert due to contractual obligations between David and American Idol. David’s Idol tour is starting this Saturday, so the people of Utah will have to wait to give their money to Idol.

How cute, he actually thought he lived in America where he could make choices. I think he quickly learned that Idol made him, and Idol will own him for now. David, it’s time to grow up son, you’re working for the man now.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I really hope you’re being facetious. All this story really proves is that he has total numbnuts surrounding him.

Of course AI would object. He’s under contract to appear nowhere else except their summer tour. duh! It’s not a reason to hate AI. It’s called honoring your commitments.

Good idea but somebody wasn’t thinking. Still, it may not be as dumb an idea as everyone thinks.
Clay Aiken got out of it…

i am totally being facetious memememe! lol i know all about contracts as they affect my life everyday, sometimes good, sometimes bad. i’m sure his dad had something to do w/ his concert in utah, don’t you think? and he was probably like, “sure my son will do it…and i will take part of those charity proceeds while you’re at it”

Good, I’m very glad to hear it. Sorry, blonde moment on my part.

His dad is a dude gunning for the Joe Simpson spot, if you ask me. But instead of creeping us out with his thexy daughters, Jeff Archuleta seems to be in it to get his control-freak on.

AI made mistakes again. Archuleta got permission to go ahead for his thank you(charity) concert from AI. That’s why they planned it. But later AI pulled it out because of money issue. Since the idol tour for the second day in Utah has not been sold out (first day show was sold out in 20 min, so they added another day), AI thought fans wouldn’t want to come to see the tour once they see their favorite star’s solo concert. It is just like when they tried to cover up their mistake when Archuleta sang Stand By Me adding a line “Beautiful girls”. Producers encouraged him to add the line during rehearsals, and after the show they found out the possible mistake, and blamed the Archuletas. I am sick of their manipulations. They are playing with innocent people.
