Hey Gasmii, I just got back from the Idol finale, and it was probably the best finale I’ve attended.  I know this season sucked compared to past seasons, but they surely made up for it in the finale (not sure how it looked on TV as I haven’t watched yet, but it was good live).

I was live tweeting from my cell phone that I snuck in if you want to read the play-by-play…if not, let’s just get to the winner…

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!

The winner is (thanks to the tween universe that ruin every competition): Lee DeWyze.

I know I was rooting for Lee, but the reality of it is that Crystal is the better singer.  I know this sounds weird, but I almost feel like Lee had to win.  I don’t feel bad for Crystal’s loss…I know she’ll have an amazing career regardless (way bigger than Lee’s).  After all, look at all the people that have made it BIG without winning.

Some quick highlights for me:

-Bret Michaels!  OMG, he did SOOO great, and sang his ass off.  He’s such an inspiration!

-Nigel Lythgoe sat right in front of me, YES, in the audience!

-Of course, Christina, Alanis, and Janet…I could have done without Chicago, and Hall and Oates.  Btw, Alanis was so tan, she’d make Snooki jealous…no joke.

-Alice Cooper, just because I’ve had a thing for him since Wayne’s World (don’t ask).

past idols

-And last, but certainly NOT least…Simon’s good-bye…Paula, and all the past Idols’ did a great job saying good-bye.

simon good-bye

I’m going to miss Simon…Idol will NEVER be the same without him.  I can’t wait to follow him to The X-Factor.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, here’s a picture of the after party–and what it looked like:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.
