Season eight of American Idol is off to Puerto Rico for auditions. On August 2nd, Idol will hold their first ever Puerto Rican audition at Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. I think this is great, let’s get some diversity going, and get a good talent pool for 2009! Other audition stops are:

-Cow Palce, San Francisco, CA (July 17)

-Freedom Hall, Louisville, KY (July 21)

-Jobbing.com Arena, Phoenix, AZ (July 25)

-Energy Solutions Arena, Salt Lake City, UT (July 29)

-Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO (August 8)

-Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, FL (Aug 13)

-IZOD Center at the Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ (August 19)

American Idol Season 8-1

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Ha, I love how they are going to David Cook’s hometown. As if that place hasn’t got enough traffic already.

Oh well, it’s convenient for Andrew I guess…

I would get excited that their going to Puerto Rico but after the dissapointment of this season, I really don’t care where they go for talent.

As far as diversity goes, this season was diverse and it was still boring as ever. Note to AI, I don’t care how multicultural you try to make next season just cast interesting people and I’m still waiting for the apology for saying this was the best Top 12 ever, liars.

I’m actually going to disagree with you bigjr. I do think this was the most talented top 12 ever.

This is the first year where I have actually been blown away by every single contestant at least once, save KLC and Ramiele. And then David Cook (who was my favorite, as everyone in the world knows by now) was the most original and most consistent contestant they’ve ever had. This season, I voted for the very first time, bought tickets to the tour for the very first time, will buy at least one album (another first) and I actually didn’t hate any of the top 12, for once.

I haven’t been this invested in Idol since the first season I watched (season 2). Yes, I’m a Claymate. Shush.
