Amy And Tina Respond To Taylor

I LOVE Tina and Amy for many reasons…especially this one. Amy responded to Taylor’s comment by saying, “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff. ” –Such a great response…

And Tina said“If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron. I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke.”

RIGHT, so Taylor should just GET OVER IT. It was a joke. The world isn’t ending. They’re not mean girls, they’re comedians! I’d hate to be at a stand-up or sketch show with Taylor. Could you imagine her trying to make a statement of how each sketch or performer affected her after every performance?

She thinks she’s Little Red Riding Hood standing up to the Big Bad Wolf…so lame!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’m really think Taylor Swift has victim mentality. Nothing is ever her fault, everybody is just being mean to her.

She can write a boring song about it!

These two have done more for women in the arts than Little Miss Taylor ever will. Her use of that quote was incredibly inappropriate and out of line.

I agree with you, sagittariuskim. The more I read about her exploits, the more I wish someone would just bitch-slap her and tell her to grow some brass ovaries.

She is immature and surrounded by people fawning over her and telling her her every statement is golden.

Some day, hopefully soon, reality will hit. With a front end loader, if we’re lucky!

I honestly can’t believe she hasn’t come out yet saying that she was mis-quoted or something. I think she’ll be surprised at all the negative backlash. You don’t mess with Amy & Tina!!

Smarlo reality has hit with every man she has or hasn’t dated that dumped her. She doesn’t get it and probably never will.

Taylor – if you don’t want to be the butt of jokes perhaps you should stop acting like one.

Listen to any one of Taylor’s songs and it’s pretty clear that she’s got the emotional development of a slighly whiny, melodramatic fifteen-year-old. Amy and Tina, being grown-ups and feminists, probably thought that was just a stage persona and that surely a fellow woman could take a (pretty damn tame) joke. Oops, they were wrong. I especially love Amy’s response, which is funny with a clear undertone of \wow, sorry I hurt baby’s feelings; I thought she’d get it.\

This is a prime example of why I don’t like Taylor: she’s perpetuating the image of women as whiny, passive-agressive little twits who’ll have snit over nothing. Please let this perpetual teenager either grow up or go away.

While I think Taylor is being a bit sensitive I’m glad she’s willing to stand up for herself and able to express how she feels. Tina and Amy are big girls and should be able to take criticism too.

Taylor isn’t standing up for herself. She’s being dramatic.
Many other celebs were the punchlines that night as well… I haven’t heard them making whiny, melodramatic statements to the press about it. I’m just waiting for her song to come out.

Taylor is the WORST kind of role model.

It’s one thing to stand up for yourself and say you didn’t like the joke (even though I think Amy and Tina did nothing wrong) it’s another thing to say that the people are going to hell for making a joke about you. Any little bit of respect I had left for Taylor was gone after hearing her say that. And I agree with captain-save-uh-hoe, she was by no means the only one made fun of. It just makes her look overly sensitive, that she takes herself too seriously and that she has no sense of humor.

As someone that works with A LOT of early twenties idiots (another perk of retail?) I find this attitude to be fairly consistent. (Forewarning, it’s gonna get REALLY general up in here) I think that with this up and coming generation, it is borderline impossible to have a conversation with criticism or teasing, many are so oversensitive. Thanks to mama and papa, they are angelic geniuses who are all knowing and are unable to accept or face responsibility, it’s never their fault. Mom and Dad are still dragged in for conversations, either face to face or through the phone (all of which are shut down immediately). It seems that with celebrities, their maturity is stunted and the younger they experience fame and success the more glaring it is. (crossing my fingers JLaw doesn’t follow suit, Emma Stone seems normal enough still so there’s hope!) It’s a shame, cause I do enjoy Taylor, her songs are catchy enough (troubletroubetrouble), I don’t hate her for dating around (who didn’t? Gee wiz!), but she’s sooo lacking in the self awareness department that every time she speaks my eyes instinctively roll. She’s young, but she’s not *that* young anymore, and this schtick is getting tiresome

PS I sell bra cami’s, it’s not brain surgery.

Holy shit, what is wrong with her? Maybe she should watch an episode of Parks & Rec or 30 Rock side-by-side with her NYE performance, complete with terrible live singing and nerdy dance moves, and reconsider who she lashes out against.

You were given a mulligan in the Kanye sitch, Taylor. But don’t push it.

So much word! This is what I have always said about LeAnn Rimes too. She is perpetually 14 – the age at which she became successful and the age at which people started to blow sunshine up her a$$.

    I like Chelsea Handler’s theory that it’s because she’s still a virgin.
