Amy Poehler Is Writing Her First Book

Amy Poehler is going to release her first book in 2014! Her book is supposed to be an “illustrated, non-linear diary.” It’ll contain true and invented stories, because that’s exactly what she does. She’s serious, but she’s not at all. It’s so on-point with her brand. I love her so much!

I wonder how many book offers she’s had before actually committing? I’m sure she was like, “Fine, if you want me to write a book, I’ll make up half of the stories and write half truth, that way we can leave the readers guessing. Are you in?” 

Wouldn’t that be funny if the publishers were to say, “Ok, Amy. Now that you’re signed your deal, what are you going to write about for real?”

Amy: Kittens!

Publishers: He he he, no really. What are you going to write about?

Amy: Non-fiction Kittens?

Can’t wait to read her book! It’s going to be awesome!

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    NADSSSSSSSSS! I love you for posting this. I will be pre-ordering this book as soon as possible. Then, when it comes out, we can make a post in the forum about it and talk about it until out heart’s content.
