The Oscars were actually pretty entertaining this year. I really thought they did a stellar job, and if anyone disagrees, then let’s agree to disagree. Everything was great from the personal addresses from past winners to the glittery disco curtain. I will say that the only part I didn’t like was the weird montages before they announced the nominees. Onward…

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

It was hands-down the most entertaining, star-studded and emotional evening of Oscar glam we’ve seen in ages.

I loved the creative sets and the chandeliers and the glittery curtain and the staging.

I loved the big band accompaniment.

I adored the intros by the previous winners – so heartfelt and special!

    Hugh was great!

    “Domo arrigato, Mr Robato!”

Agree with Nads and DMG totally. I also especially loved the Domo Arrigato, that was amusing. And Phillipe Petit when he made the coin disappear and then he balanced the Oscar on his nose. That was excellent.

The speeches weren’t too bad this year either, mostly sweet and to the point. I really liked Kate Winslet’s.

The only thing I disagree with you about Nads is that I liked the montages before the acting Oscars, I thought it was cute to have years past recipients’ best moments caught on tape.

I loved the show but i have to disagree with NADS and the other commenters, i really, really, really disliked the personal tributes that the past winners gave to the nominees.

We all know that the oscars are fairly self-indulgent, no on really tries to refute it. But with the personal addresses it just went on and on, it was way to long, way to much back-patting and just boring.

I think that quick clips of the nominee’s is always the way to do…instead of telling everyone how great the preformances are, why not show how great they are?

    Other than i that i loved the show…love Hugh…

Loved how they presented the other awards…how they presented them in order of how they would go about making a movie…very cool.

Hope they bring back Hugh again another year.
