Anderson Cooper Doesn’t Love the Countess

Anderson Cooper is revving up for his new daytime talk show, and wants it to be “Smart, honest, [and] provocative.” He told Broadcasting & Cable (about his show), “In daytime you can have an emotional connection, a very real human connection. It’s personally satisfying and I think that translates on television. And for me it’s one of the huge motivations in doing this.”

When they asked him about The Real Housewives franchise, he admitted to only watching the women of Beverly Hills because they’re hard to beat. But going further, they probed him on the women of New York and he fired away, ”Countess LuAnn, I can’t watch. People who use the word ‘class’ and not in reference to an actual classroom – I just can’t listen to them.”

Funny that Anderson shares the same sentiments as Alex and Simion. I wonder if he’ll start calling it the ‘C’ word like them?

I wonder what he thinks of Chic, C’est la Vie? (sorry, I just had to post!)

    I wonder why he is so verabally against Luann? He seems like a smart, cultured guy, I wouldn’t think he’d give a toss about RHoNY. I mean, isn’t this the third time he’s attacked Luann? I know alot of people hate her and all, but WHY on earth would she even register on his radar? I’m not really criticism him, I just find it perplexing.

    ..And yes, I’m aware he was ASKED about her, but I believe he has said things before out of the blue. Or I’m misremembering.

    I think Coopers disgust at LuAnn probably has a lot more to do with her pretensions of ‘old family’ and royalty than anything else. After all – Anderson Coopers mother is a Vanderbilt and is actual old money and a real NYC socialite as well as famed designer and his family tree reaches into the UK where he is related to the Duke of Marlborough and yes, even Winston Churchill.
    Whereas the Countess Luann with her boughten title and pretenses of class (remember when she scolded another housewife for referring to her as Luann in front of a driver?) must rub Cooper the absolute wrong way. Luann is nothing but a poser and this is clear to someone who actually was ‘to the manor born’.

    As far as his love for NeNe — she is who she is and she doesn’t pretend to be better than anyone else because of who she married. Or at least that is who she was in the first two seasons, now not so much…

    Anderson Cooper may live in some kind of Obama-esque rarified atmosphere, but he still knows a thundercunt when he sees one.

    Anderson was on the WWH show with Ne NE and Andy Cohen. He has been a Housewives fan for a time and he didn’t dislike LuAnn out of the blue and just start commenting about her. He has been part of the lore for a while.
