Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Well I sort of wanted to but being the great intellect that I am I watched “Beauty and the Geek” instead. Hmmmmm
I didn’t tune in, but to my surprise that clip was funnier than about 75% of what passess for comedy on TV. If “Yes Dear” or “According to Jim” can run 7 years, I don’t see any reason this show couldn’t succeed.
Oy…I took one for the team and watched it. Honestly, it wasn’t much worse than the first episode of any other sitcom, but it wasn’t better either. I think they’re going to run out of “comedy gold” pretty quickly.
I tuned in out of curiousity. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen but it wasn’t terribly good either. And to be honest, as a woman, I really don’t want to spend half an hour looking at extremely unattractive men. The women were all good looking though so maybe men are the target audience here.
I just watched it this morning, and you’re right, it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen. And it certainly wasn’t the best. And Jason was right, if According To Jim can run that long, then why would Cavement be cancelled?
I was skeptical b/c it came from a commercial, you know? Had it not, I wonder if I would have had the same feeling…
I feel like I’m a battered housewife saying this right now, but I’ll give it another week.
I am amazed this pretext even became a sitcom. I give it 4 episodes – tops. I refuse even to watch the ads, they are so offputting.
So, yeah – no way would I watch a whole 1/2 hour devoted to these unappealing “characters.”
once was enough…..
