Ariel Winter’s Mom Is Denying The Abuse Accusations

Ariel Winter’s mom told PEOPLE that the abuse allegations are not true. She said“It’s all untrue, it’s all untrue…I have my doctor’s letter that my daughter’s never been abused. … I have stylists’ letters that she’s never been abused.”

Ariel’s brother even stuck up for his mom. He told Entertainment Tonight that Ariel doesn’t really speak to the rest of the family and that their mom does everything for Ariel.

I wonder who’s telling the truth? Is Ariel a story teller and is mom telling the truth, or is mom lying? Only one way to find out…give Ariel a lie detector test on Jerry Springer! That’ll clear up the issue in less than an hour!! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Well, what’s she supposed to say? “Sure, I smacked her around a bit. Sure. You would too. Damned know-it-all.”

Well if the stylist says it isn’t true…

I agree, mere. We all know how reliable a PAID stylist’s testimony is – that’s why they often serve as expert witnesses.

    In Bizarro World, that is.

OK – I wanted to make sure I wasn’t the only one that thought that the line about the stylist was suspect and ridiculous.

See, the fact that she doesn’t say “My son will tell you that I’ve never abused her!”, and instead she cites the doctor (who sees the kid how many times a year?) and the stylists (again, do the stylists live in the house?), that makes me think there’s probably a whole lot of truth to the matter. Or that the mom is really not that bright.

How would a doctor know if the girl has been slapped? I don’t recall slapping leaving scars (i know emotional). What a nut-job. Obviously the court sided with her for now. Must be some truth mom. Afraid your gravy train is pulling away from the station? And the daughter/sister who got custody/guardianship?

Any chance we can send that fat kid to live with this woman a bit? Or better yet, the idiot who cast the actor playing the fat kid?

Based upon nothing in particular, like most of my comments on the lives of people I don’t know, I would guess there is some truth on each side. The mom is probably a bit of a harsh stagemom, the kid is probably a brat who fooling around with an 18 1/2 year old (which IS statutory rape), and Modern Family wants to protect its franchise.

Get some family counseling and lose the inappropriately OLD boyfriend (14 years is grade school age, 18+ is college age – EW).

Good call BellicoseBaby. I don’t watch Modern Family or follow it’s actors (I didn’t know who Ariel Winters was), so I didn’t know about this little tidbit lurking in the background: http://ca.eonline.com/news/361942/ariel-winter-family-drama-mother-filed-police-report-against-daughter-s-18-year-old-boyfriend

@Itchy, I know you think you’re being funny, but child abuse never is.

I know I’m in the minority – AND I don’t think it’s appropriate – but a 14 year girl and an 18 year old boy are not necessarily that far apart in age or maturity. SOME might be, but were I live both can be high school age. Combine that with the fact that both the girl and guy are in show business, I imagine they deal with things that most of us wouldn’t understand. (I mean that seriously, the boyfriend was a child actor, also, I’m pretty sure.)

And there is an older sister who ALSO claims the Mom abused her when she was a kid, so I tend to think there is a lot more truth to this than is seen at first glance.

Also, it’s only statutory rape if they *are* sleeping together. I know that it’s easy to assume ALL teenagers are sleeping around, but they aren’t. And the Mom filed the report AFTER the abuse claims. It’s all very fishy to me, and sad. Very sad.

I dunno. Anyone whose ever lived with a teenager has wanted to slap them. And maybe her mom did.. is this abuse? Sadly, I’m old school.. my mom has hit me during the course of my upbringing (never in the face..mostly about the behind and legs) but I never thought of it as abuse. (Frankly, because when I ran she never chased me.) Anywho, I think that Ariel is a bit obstinate and wants to live her life and when she and her mom had a big blowout, her older sister told her to get the courts involved and then “you can live with me.” Let’s be honest, if the mother was proven to be abusive to the older daughter way back when, she wouldn’t have been allowed custody of her younger daughter. This is young Hollywood’s way of emancipating themselves from their parents when they think they are old enough to make their own decisions. Teenagers are know-it-alls anyway, add a blossoming career, and fame to the mix and they must be downright insufferable!

I couldn’t even have a boyfriend until I was 16..and this 14 year old is engaging in sexual acts with a legal adult? In most states a legal adult can date a minor if there are no more than 3 years age difference between them. He’s at 4.5 years..so yes, it’s illegal.

Sorry, but there are miles of difference in maturity between 14 and 18! There is also a lot of difference in experience and power (within the relationship), and that’s where the real problem lies.
