BB14: No Endurance Julie?

Shane: “I don’t want my fate in someone else’s hands.”

Finally, over an hour after the Big Brother show ended on the East Coast, the live feeds came on and the 1st of the final HOH competition had already started. For the first time in 13 seasons, it did NOT start at the end of the show with Julie Chen explaining the rules and beginning the competition. Fans and internet watchers were baffled by this and many were once again angry with Executive Producer Alison Grodner. It was another, in a long list of complaints about the way she and TPTB, have blocked access to the live feeds that they continually advertise as “uncensored”. It is not Superpass that is responsible, it is CBS and Grodner. Furthermore, the viewers were given no explanation for the delay. Grodner DID go on TWITTER and announce that the live feeds would return and we would see the endurance competition.

Should I be complaining? Yes, I think you all should know how things were this season. We PAID money to watch the live feeds “uncensored” and were blocked daily for the most ridiculous reasons, sometimes for hours and hours because someone simple “forgot” to turn the feeds back on. This last “blackout” lasted 33 hours. The reason was so we, the live feed people, wouldn’t know who was evicted on the taped show on Tuesday and then who won the next HOH. They didn’t want us to tell anyone. We knew 10 minutes after the show was taped who was evicted AND who won the HOH! It was Jenn’s eviction and Danielle won the HOH. The people in the audience started tweeting the news the minute they left the show. CBS can’t stop that! But we didn’t get the feeds back until midnight Wednesday, after the show aired on the West coast. What was the point? I think some serious technical changes need to be made before next season. CBS needs to catch up with the rest of the world, especially if they want us to pay money for access to these feeds.

Here’s another “blocked” moment that got leaked for just a moment this morning. Big Brother made them brunch so they could sit in front of the “Memory Wall” and talk about all of the evicted houseguests and how Dan misted them all. This will air on Sunday’s show.

There is still plenty of things going on in the Big Brother Live Feeds Updates. Dan, Danielle and Ian are not done playing the game yet. If you think Dan has run out of “rabbits in his hat” then you are wrong! You won’t believe what he has planned for the final night. Check out his plans here.

This has been a rollercoaster season of Big Brother and I have really enjoyed feedcapping about this year’s batch of social anomalies. It’s not over yet though. We have 4 more days! Only 4 more days …….

I would have blocked the moment of Danielle eating brunch, too. Seen it before.

May I vent? Even though I paid not a dime this year for the live feeds (got the football package instead this year, couldn’t afford both.. the economy..)

I looked forward to the live feedcappers telling me what is going on. I appreciated it. It is bullshit when you pay for a service and it is out of reach at the whim of the provider and it is even more disturbing when you want to hang on every word of a feedecapper because you cant afford it and they have been screwed.

I was playing around with the idea of subscribing next year, having never done it before. But with all the stupid censoring I will pass. Hear that Grodner? I would’ve given you money, but I won’t now.

BB has been around long enough – those that don’t want spoilers know how to avoid them. The info gets out anyway, TPTB need to embrace the internet side. Create fans – don’t turn them off.

The only blocking that seems reasonable to me is 1. talking in DETAIL about production, 2. talking about someone that didn’t sign a release, 3. singing a song (royalty problems). Anything else is stupid and will wind up shooting them in the foot – you can see how the ratings are reflecting that. Too much producer manipulation is driving away their fanbase.

    *okay, rant over*

As if that blow-up Rachel Clown-doll they keep foisting on us hasn’t already done enough damage to the BB franchise…. Oh well, there’s always Survivor and it’s commitment to fresh casting!

I do find it terribly sad that “royalty” rights now include someone humming a song from the radio . . . how incredibly petty . . . I would find it so hard not to sing in that austere of an environment. Be happy I’m not in there, I’d be fish-bowling you to death!!!

Me also Judd fan. I’m one of the those people who if someone says a line for example “Hey Classy, Here’s my number.” I would respond “So call me maybe” and probably sing a few lines of the song and giggle whilst doing it.
